Vanessa Williams Confirms Return of Ugly Betty Musical Episode
Earlier today, Vanessa Williams was nominated for an Emmy Award for her portrayal of Wilhelmina Slater on Ugly Betty.
Now, the actress has some more exciting news for fans:
"Our musical episode is back on!," she told William Keck of TV Guide Magazine. "I think it's going to be our 16th episode of the season."
The actress said Hairspray composer Marc Shaiman, who was confirmed to compose songs for a scrapped 2007 musical episode, might no longer be involved.
"The man who does our original scoring will be writing some of the music. I think it's going to be a combination of original material and some really popular pop tunes - similar to Moulin Rouge, pop tunes integrated into a musical show. We're all really excited about. I'm sure Wilhelmina's material will be really biting!"
