Californication

Earlier this month, Peter Gallagher said he had "about as much fun as any actor is allowed to have" portraying Dean Stacy Koons on season three of Californication.

But that's not all the actor had to say about the Showtime series. Here are more excerpts from his interview with E! News:

On his character: I play the dean of the university, and my daughter [Chelsea, played by Ellen Woglom] and David's daughter are best friends. Hank and Dean Stacy Koons have a marvelously, antagonistic, yet respectful occasional relationship.

On his involvement: I did 8 out of the 12. I've had the time of my life. It's about as much fun as I've ever had. The scripts are hilarious.

On sex, drugs and rock 'n roll: [I did] pretty much all of those things. And there's a lot of violence.
