Despite a lack of buzz and/or critical acclaim, HawthoRNe has been renewed by TNT. The Jada Pinkett Smith-led series will have a 10-episode run in 2010.

The first season of the medical drama has averaged a total audience of 3.8 million viewers.

"HawthoRNe has been a great addition to TNT's lineup of original series, and Jada Pinkett Smith's performance has been a tremendous draw with viewers," said Michael Wright, executive vice president, head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies. "There are powerful episodes remaining, and we're looking forward to what is certain to be an extraordinary second season."

I love medical shows, and I just about watch them all, from Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, House, Chicago Hope when it was on, ER in the earlier years before Dr Greene died, Gideon's Crossing, Trauma, Mercy, Three Rivers was great got cancelled, The Listener and now Hawthorne and the newest one Miami Medical, oh and I have watched Royal Pains it's back for a second season too. I loved Hawthorne right from episode one when she rushes into the hospital to save her late husbands best friend, I'm glad it has a second season, some shows need the second season to come into there own, Three Rivers never got that chance, Trauma wasn't given that chance either, I'm glad it's coming back, I love these nurses.

I love this show. Can't wait to see it come back on. I need to watch all of them from beginning to end cause I missed some shows. She is my role model.
