Grey's Anatomy Spoilers: Izzie and the Chief
We've been debating this week whether Izzie could be pregnant on Grey's Anatomy. We have our doubts, but according to EW's Michael Ausiello, there is another Izzie surprise in store for us soon. Meanwhile, Richard's stress apparently boils over tonight.
Here's what EW's spoiler Q&A reveals this morning ...
Q: Is Izzie really pregnant on Grey’s Anatomy?
A: I'll say this: ABC's promo gurus are very sneaky! While we’re on the subject of Katherine Heigl, sources confirm that she’s taking another leave of absence from Grey’s Anatomy this season - but this time her reasons are personal and not professional.
Heigl will be going on a belated maternity leave to spend some QT with new adopted daughter Naleigh. As a result, Izzie will be MIA for another string of episodes (most likely in early 2010).
What do you think prompts Izzie's second departure from SGH?
Q: Please tell me something will happen soon on Grey’s Anatomy that will make me stop hating the Chief! I used to love him but this season has been terrible!
A: Would the sight of him falling off the wagon do the trick? 'Cause that’s what happens at the end of this week’s episode, "New History."

WWhy is she leaving again???
I hope that shes not gone for too long because she really needs to talk to Alex.
And ughh who cares about the chief. He is THE MOST annoying character on the show. He should get as little screen time as possible!

I don't know if I can handle another regular being let go from Grey's.
It doesn't feel right without George, and if Izzie does not get her job back, I don't know if it will be the same Grey's Anatomy. I like Izzie and to see her go would not make me (and many others) very happy.

If you can count you will realize that izzie has been gone for only 3 episodes and not 5. If you would pay any attention and read other spoilers to find out that K.H. will be back in january 2010. So that means that she will not be present for the other 2 episodes for the year of 2009. And please don't talk about what you don't know.

One, they are talking about a new absence this time for maternity leave so it's not part of the 5 episodes she initially took for the movie.

please..i think it would be better if she'll leave for awhile having alex' baby,, then come back as a successful mom and wife of dr.alex karev..please..please..please..please.. i'm begging you...

Please focus more on the chief falling off the wagon. There really isn't a prime time alcoholic story line on TV and this would be of interest to many, many viewers. Any idea of how many sober alcoholics there are in the world? More than you'd think. And it's an untapped area. Except for that stupid Intervention show or the even more stupid Dr. Drew show, both of which are on cable.
Shonda is the perfect person to tackle this as she is not afraid to try new things in prime time. It would also be interesting to alcoholics and their families who are still drinking. It would benefit them to see Richard get sober again. How he does it, how he betters his life by doing it etc.

one: That's what I thought too. KH taking leave for 5 non-consecutive episodes is old news. Don't know why so many people think that this supposed "new" rumour means that she will be gone for almost the whole season.

If you have notice on all the spoilers for grey's anatomy they will all tell you that k.h. will be gone for 5 non-consecutive episodes and she has already done 3 episodes. So what that means is she still has 2 more episodes to be absent for. So she won't be gone for the whole season only just 5 episodes of the season.

I'm really sad that she's leaving again because I do love Izzie. I don't like how she blamed Alex, but I honestly LOVE her character. Like Mere said tonight, she's bright and shiny despite all that she's been through. But,it really doesn't sound like she'll be around for too much longer. I think that that is why they aren't putting Izzie in complete remission... so that they can eventually kill her off :(
