Shania Twain and 12,000 aspiring singers showed up in Chicago for American Idol this week.

The country star proved to be the best guest judge yet on season nine (no offense, Victoria Beckham or Mary J. Blige), while at least one contestant proved she might have what it takes to advance well into the Hollywood rounds this year.
