The news of her return was as abrupt and as unexpected as the news of her departure.

But Jennifer Morrison will, indeed, reprise her role as Cameron before the current season of House concludes. Where has the character been over the last few months?

"She's been practicing medicine at another hospital," producer Katie Jacobs said at last night's Golden Globes. "There are certain things that are unresolved with Chase, so she comes back seeking some sort of resolution. Whether it's good or bad I won't say."

Jacobs also won't reveal the exact date on which Morrison (at the awards ceremony below, looking gorgeous) will show up.

Adds House creator David Shore: "There will be a different connection between her and Chase because of the absence."

That's all the pair would reveal, though Jacobs confirmed "you'll see her before the end of this season. As for next year? "We'll figure [that] out when this season is over," she said.
