Major How I Met Your Mother Casting News: Jennifer Morrison as....?
Jennifer Morrison isn't just coming to How I Met Your Mother. The former House star might be taking on the character fans have been waiting years to meet.
While sources won't confirm whether or not Morrison is the mother, but Entertainment Weekly reports she'll appear on 13 episodes of the CBS hit this season.
The actress will portray a love interest for Ted, a witty, controversy-causing activist who initially clashes with him over the planned demolition of a New York landmark.
Morrison does have experience playing the role of mother to an iconic individual: she gave birth to Captain James. T.Kirk in the latest Star Trek movie.
** UPDATE: This is a done deal. Morrison will play Zooey, who producer Craig Thomas describes as “the biggest female character we’ve maybe ever added to the show in Ted’s life,... this is a huge arc."

Yeee! *fanfreakout* I'm not so much excited about her being maybe the Mother as I am about a really big arc! Season 5 was, to say the least, disappointing. There were so many things wrong, but a big one was the lack of major plot developments and moving forward. Really, Dopplegangers Ted is pretty much the same as Definitions Ted. So I can't wait to see HIMYM's return to glory!
