Louise Fletcher, perhaps best known as Jack Nicholson's caretaker in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, has been cast as Pete's mother on Private Practice, TV Guide reports.

The Oscar-winning star, who recently appeared on Heroes as Peter's colleague Dr. Coolidge, will make her first Shondaland appearabce in the ninth episode of the season.
