Ahead on Castle: More on Beckett's Murdered Mother
While storyline on Castle can also veer from the ridiculous to the realistic, the ABC hit will focus on the personal this winter.
Producer Andrew Marlowe tells TV Guide his show will return to the issue of Beckett's murdered mother in January.
"There will be some closure; we'll have some understanding as to exactly why Joanna Beckett was killed," Marlowe says. "The audience will find out how high the conspiracy goes and the elements that we're dealing with. I think it can provide us with an interesting insight into [future] storytelling."

I DEFINITELY think this will bring Castle and Beckett closer. She made it clear in season two that she wanted Castle to be there when they catch "the bastard that had my mother killed". I think it will happen before any hocking up because it's a stepping stone to that point.
