There's breaking Castle news on the most pressing question facing fans of this ABC hit: Will Beckett and Castle ever get together?

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, star Stana Katic offered up a major tease when she said of the January 10 episode: "They are going to get super close in episode 13. Closer than they’ve ever gotten before."

The week before this intriguing installment airs, however, Laura Prepon will guest star as Natalie Gray, the actress who has signed on to portray Nikki Heat on the big screen.

Katic says her presence will get "a little too Single White Female," as the actress trails the woman on whom her character is based. What will Castle's reaction be?

“Castle is really cheesed because she has never read the books. She’s only read the screenplay and she’s just into the character and not the words or the man who created Nikki Heat," says Nathan Fillion.

Castle returns with a new episode on December 6.
