I didnt like rose, but when she died, i did cry, it was really sad and i think a good way of killing her off so now i wont look back and be like 'ugh, rose.' other than that i enjoyed the ep, i just hope that jules big ol blabbermouth doesnt totally kill what tyler and caroline have built up :( yes i saw the promo but i have hope he will realize she was just trying to protect the people she loves. i also hope jules becomes more bearable since she apparently gonna be around for a bit

Sorry I just thought is was just ok. Little too much Damon for my friends and me. Wanted more werewolf.
I really loved the episode! It shows the softer side of Damon

i like that damon has a heart, if he had stayed shallow he'd be boring by now. i am very pleased to have this show back. and i have been waiting for tyler to find out about the other vampires. so lets just see how this all plays out :)

Touching episode. I just miss the old Damon. The badass tough guy. Now he is just way too wimpy. Not the badboy who chased gorgeous women anymore. Now he cries and chases his brother girlfriend. At least we have Elijah to take Damons place.

So he makes this heartwrenching confession and does the complete opposite by feeding on a helpless girls blood ? Yeah poor Damon! -___-

Bahh the ending with Damon was vvvvvverryy sad. Seeing Damon being so nice to Rose so that she could die in peace then to have to kill her was heartbreaking. Pretty much what i learned from this episode is that i really don't like seeing Damon cry!! And Damon's secret was totally unexpected...but it makes sense since he didnt really want to be a vampire..poor Damon never being able to catch a break :(
p.s. Jules needs to DIE!!!!

I actually really liked the episode. I like the tender moments between Rose & Damon and the scenes with Tyler & Caroline. Aas for the dream thing Katherine did it to Stephan earlier in the season so it isn't new. Didn't miss Bonnie or Tyler either and am overjoyed John is back whenever he is around things happen.
Looking forward to next week to see what Tyler does when Caroline is taken hostage. Hate Jules too don't trust her...

I didn't like this episode. I creid so many times over Rose because of what was happening to her, and when she died I bawled. When Damon said to Elena "The sooner she dies, the better," I was mad at him for saying that, he was acting like a jerk. Jules is a stupid bitch who deserves to die, and I hated seeing John. I hated him the first time I saw him, and I hate seeing him now. Some moments between Rose and Damon were cute. For me I didn't like this episode.

I'm not going to lie: Rose's death made me cry. During that dream when she's finally happy after all that pain, and Damon trying to make her feel at peace with dying while revealing that he did actually care and then staking her, I cried. For a character we barely knew, I was genuinely sad and sorry to see her go and when it turned out that no one was going to run in with the cure (I was hoping for Stefan to do that), I cried.
As for Jules-the bitch needs to die. Slowly and painfully. I absolutely hate her after seeing how happy she was at Rose's fate and I eagerly await the scene where Damon rips her head off. If she does not die the terrible karmic death that she fully deserves, I may stop watching.
I was also happy for the Bonnie-less episode, and I sympathise with Caroline's dilemma. Also anticipating whatever John Gilbert is going to get up to- though I'm surprised Stefan actually teamed up with him (well, we don't really know the particulars of that agreement yet.)

That was honestly one of the best TVD episodes ever. I sincerely hope that no one comments on it and goes "Good, Rose is dead." The scenes showed a whole new side to her, and made you realize who she was as a person and actually care. The distress that Rose's death inflicted on Damon also paired up with Elena's human-ness to force Damon's confession. I'm looking forward to Damon's confessions to a compelled girl (the bubble bath spoiler, for example), I think we're going to see more of this whole new side of him. I'm also gonna love to see how he reacts when Elena gives herself up the Klaus (other spoiler that you guys put on from earlier). Episode gets 5/5. And anyone who disagrees can go ____.

Damon always could control dreams. In the first episodes he gets into Elena's mind and forces her to dream about him. I know Rose is (was) a vampire, but as we all saw, she was weak. Maybe that's why he could do it.
Anyways, I loved the scene so I woulnd't look that much into it.

...it seemed to be an example of the show making up a supernatural rule. Since when can Damon control another vampire's subconscious in such a manner?
Apparently vampires can control people's dreams. Such examples was when Katherine got into Stefan's head in the tomb and they got down and dirty. Another example is when Damon got into Stefan's head and showed Elena in danger in Season 1.
So with Damon's control of Rose's dream... atleast it was a good one.
