Didn't care for The Finder. I thought he was
creepy. When I tune in to watch Bones, I
want to see Booth, Brennan and the gang
    at the Jeffersonian.

A horrible eposide.... If The Locator is picked up
by FOX.... I will not even bother to watch.

A waste of time. Bad acting and writing!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a long time "BONES" watcher and, while they sometimes get a little silly, I still enjoy the show. Last night's episode was awful. I thought I was going to see a new story. Instead I got a lousy spin-off that wasn't worth the time. The "Finder" premise has been done to death as far as the characters go. There are already shows with the quirky leader, the giant genius, and the offbeat female. And why do they always have to be from England or Australia, or somewhere exotic? And Where was the story? I'll watch Burn Notice/A-Team/Dirty Dozen/some other Stuff re-runs first.

I would definantly watch this spinoff show and by the way, they have peoples in the bar at the end and i like it's different from Bone...

ok, since when was it Kosher to "test" a new show in the middle of a show? It was confusing and frustrating. Seemed like the cast took a vacay and plugged in a bad version of burn notice to shoot some scenes. Also, why oh why did we need the producer's face on his scuba tank. That was the most blatant and annoying personal shout out. It wasn't even remotely funny (in my humble) and why oh why does bones need to get so sentimental with a stranger. oy! pls turn this ship around.

Dumb. Really dumb. The Finder, on its own, might make for a good series, although I'm not sure I'd watch it other than occasionally. But cramming it into a Bones episode? What frickin' connection is there?

The whole thing seemed completely forced. There were so many things wrong I just don't have time to list them all. Beside, most of them have already been pointed out by other commenters.

But crikey, what a stupid idea.

I hated it too. It was not at all like Bones. Why can't it be gracefully ended and a new series started without connecting it to Bones.
I agree. It's another Psyche or Mentalist or the Hamptons show. It's sad that it turned out this way.

I'm not an obsessive "bones" watcher. I was one, but after last year and the first half of this year, with all the backbends and convuluted actions to create reasons why Bones and Booth can't be together (wink wink)I felt jerked around so I quit watching for about 3 months. Because unlike many of you good folks, I don't trust the Director. So I decided to give it a try again last night.
First off, I get a backdoor pilot. I just don't appreciate it. Frankly, I would have liked the pilot a lot more if it hadn't been jammed into a Bones. The abbreviated time did neither series any real favors.

As for the new series, I think the actor who plays Walter is great, The actor who plays the legal advisor is fantastic. Love Trejo as a bishop. The only truly jarring note for me (other then the fact that it was jammed into Bones) was the actress who played Ike. Her performance felt forced, I don't understand her role. Is she the caring ex girlfriend? The Plucky tomboy? She runs a bar with no pa

didn't care for it.doubt if I would ever watch it. not that interesting.

  11. Marie

I really did like it. I thought it was very funny and very different from Bones which I believe is a great thing. I would definitely watch The Finder.

  12. Patricia

Did not like it at all! Thought the toilet scene was gross, the stripping was just gratuitous, and couldn't understand Ike. The plot was really weak-- I don't know what all the hype going into this was. Agree that other poster that the Finder was able to find a 7th grade science medal was just ridiculous. All that said, the concept of having a brain-injured vet possessing unique "esp" skills is really intriguing and if the plot had been really sound, a good series might be possible. But as it was, the actors were glib, the plot was transparent. It was a shame to piggyback this on Bones.

I think the toilet scene was to emphasize how different him and Bones were. She's very proper and obviously he has few boundries.

The whole taking the clothes off was to show that he's not using science. He's trying to connect with the deceased's energy and by removing anything that could come between him and that energy he can make a better connection- besides- it a hot guy walking around half naked. Hell yeah. :)

And the thing with the girl is to show how emotional he is. He connects quickly to people and believes in love at first sitght- this is a contrast to Bones, who is very emotionally shut off.

I'm excited to see if they keep the finders in with Bones- and to see what happens with the love triangle.

  14. Adam Fleiner

The cast for that show would be awesome, Michael Clarke Duncan as a peaceful bad ass and Danny Trejo as a possible reaccuring character. I would definantly watch this show all the time 2 of my favorite actors for sure.

  15. Kelly

I think it was a good Bones episode. I also enjoyed the new characters and I am curious as to how that show will play out in the future. It's quirky, which in a way so is Bones. It's different and I'll definitely catch it on TV if it gets picked up.

I totally agree with the commode scene,it was a squirmy moment. I thought "my, haven't we come a long way since Archie Bunker was the first to flush a toilet off screen". But as far as running around in his boxers...;P

With some "tweeking" (if that is a real word), Finder could work. Ike needs to slow down a little. I am like the Reviewer, it was hard to understand a lot of her dialogue. Loved Leo and while the bathroom scene did not really sit well with me, on the whole I enjoyed the show. Of course, it (and nothing else) can really complete with Bones on any level.
The problem with this episode is trying to squeeze too much info into so little time.
I trust Hanson and his crew to be able to work out any little problems with this show. FOX give them a chance.

I would definitely be a fan of "Finder" or whatever title they choose to go with. The quirky trio is refreshing and remember we've only seen 3 of the cast of what would be a whole show.
It's a different concept, it isn't predictable which is such a refreshing change.
Watch the show again and don't look at it as an epsiode of Bones you may get a different take on it.

  19. Diane

The Finder can end up in boxers every episode as far as I am concerned! :)

  20. Rosanne Bolton

I enjoyed the show. I will always watch Bones and the Finder is going to be a good show also. Characters fit great together. I will be watching for this show to be on Fox.

Love Bones. Probably won't watch the new guys. Thought coming up with the 7th grade metal was preposterous. Not interested in his stripping or his bathroom stuff. Love Bones. Wanted Bones.

Gosh, people are so whiny these days. Don't you whiners understand? It's called a "backdoor-pilot", which OBVIOUSLY means that the main show characters will often have to take a backseat with new character introductions, it's not like the world is gonna end, seriously, get over yourselves, unless you simply just don't understand what a backdoor pilot means.

And Wanda, do you not understand that producing a new pilot is costing money that they don't have, it is a BACKDOOR PILOT, they use this to introduce spin-off ideas because it is cheaper, it is easier, and there is already an established base. But then again, you are clearly not someone who understands how TV works.

I think this episode did the job it was suppose to do, which is introduce us to the new group of characters and help establish Finder's roots and it did that well enough.

Haters will hate and whiners will whine, there will always be those people who cry and complain, but Finder has good potential and I will be

The finder guy was likable. I remember him from October Road, and he was just as likable then. Some of his character stuff was too much (conspiracy good, special gift good, but it was overdone). His sidekicks were miscast or poorly written. Their voices were simply too hard to understand (both of them). The Bones scenes were nice, DB/Booth looked so relaxed at the bar with Brennan. Over all I felt cheated. I wouldn't have minded the finder stuff at all, if there had been a short scene after each finder scene grounding us in the Bones world. The Finder scenes drifted too far away at points.

I loved it! I live my life around Bones, I know...I need a life! Bones and Booth remind me of my own relationship with my husband...no I'm not a genius. I missed the sqints, too, but Undertand why they filmed the episode like that. It's not forever and I really liked the new characters.. I could watch Walter on the toilet any day...It wasn't the toilet I was lusting for! I would def watch Finders if they had a show! Yo the show bashers...you're the reason great shows get booted. If you don't like it...dont watch it.
