In a new sneak preview clip from tomorrow's episode of The Vampire Diaries, we find Damon drinking scotch for breakfast, not unlike Chuck Bass on this week's Gossip Girl.

Surrounded by idiots, he says, leaves him no choice.

When he learns why Stefan trusts Elena's instincts - because Elena took a chance on Stefan despite her doubts - Damon says that makes his brother the biggest idiot of all.

It looks like the tension between the brothers, so evident in last week's "Klaus," will escalate further in "The Last Day." Watch the sneak peek and comment below ...
