i have guessed correctly at many endings to series, and i got that robin wasn't the mother since episode 1, and my guess at the barney story is robin is the bride. I get the idea that ted must be robin's best man but if you remember, when lilly called ted, she said 'best man' she did not even say whose best man so it's a moot point. Mark my words - barney marries robin!

If you listened to the conversation when Barney went to his dads house to have dinner with his family, his dad mentioned that Barney has a step sister that is currently in college.

The recent episodes make me lean towards Robin. I don't love that idea because of how their relationship ended last time. There is chemistry, yes, but they just don't seem healthy for each other. The thing that is throwing me off is the other guy that Future Ted alluded to. Remember that episode where they take Barney's dad out for drinks and Robin is "engaged" to Ted and they meet her secret crush? At the end of the episode, Future Ted says that we will hear more about him later...

I don't want barney to get married so soon, plus if he actually gets married before ted, it would be kind of ironic. But if ever they decide to marry off barney anyway, then my choice for his bride would be robin. they're a cute pair.
if it's not robin, then someone like Lily who is cute and sweet? and no i do not mean nora. I've always thought that Lily and Barney are kind of cute(although Lily is already perfect with Marshall), why? because of that episode when they live together, Lily got Barney to willingly redecorate his place and act all married, and that episode where they kissed was so cute. Also Lily is sweet but kind of manipulative like Barney is, nora is too much of a saint and barney can't be the same barney with her.
in conclusion-don't marry him off yet. if you do-then marry him with robin. and ted's wife better be prettier than cindy and more likeable than victoria-yep there has to be pressure. she's like the whole point of the show so...

I think that its the wedding of Barney and Robin because in 'False Positive' Robin said that she would want Ted to be the best man at her wedding, plus if it was Nora Barney was marrying why would she ask to see Ted?
But i could just be reading into things because i want barney and Robin to be together *Shrugs* They're cute and funny.

first of all just because he calls them aunt and uncle doesnt mean they are actual aunt and uncle sometimes close friends just do that and second of all has anyone thought about the possibility of one of marshalls brothers or teds sister getting involved with any of the characters????/

just cause he refers to them as aunt robin and uncle barney, doesnt mean they r married, that doesnt even make sense, them getting married wont make any difference to wether theyr aunty or uncle as theyr not related.....some ppl just call really close friends uncle and aunty.

only one prob with ted marrying barneys sister......he doesnt have one.. and also we already know hes going to marry the roomate of the girl he dated... remember the one he only ever saw the ankle of.. also the storyline isnt screwed...as Ted still has at least two more years to have kids(2013) just because u think that it takes two years for people 2 hav kids and get married doesnt mean thats what will happen here.. and this will probs be the last season so he has to get married during it, so this year...

Its high time for him to get married.. tha last time is 2013.. the girl in the video looks 17 and its 2030.. the girl is 17 and the time to marriage and have kids, the lowest is 2.. so 17+2=19 & 2030-19 = 2011... hahaha... the story line is screwed !!!

why i hav a strong feelings as i kno Barney`s character so well...he is so rich and slept wid more than 200 women plus he prefer to do things differently...he first throws a party looking for his exact match...testing everyone and end up getting married with Robin.:)...just a hypothetical theory
the promo made me think this for a second

It makes sense! Future Ted only referes to Barney and Robin as aunt and uncle, so if he marries Barneys sister, that automatically makes Barney their uncle, so Robin marries Barney making her aunt.

Ok so here is my guess about the mother of Ted's kids. It's Barney's sister Carly. He meets her at Barney's and either Robin or Nora's Wedding. This would pretty much fit to all the clues they have given us. 1. She's in college, 2. She meets her in a wedding, etc.

Really can't wait for the new season, lots of twists recently with the Barnacle and I have high hopes. I'm swinging for Robin and Barney to get married, makes perfect sense to me lol. As far as the little tiny details from past seasons it's a T.V. show come on they've been swinging this thing for 7 seasons now hopefully a 8th on the horizon. Ted hasn't met the mother yet fyi they have a video on CBS.com saying Robin isn't the mom guys geez.

One more thing!
I just remembered in season one, the episode "Belly full of turkey." The stripper tells Ted her name is Tracy and Future Ted then says "And that kids is how I met your mother."
Maybe her name is Tracy? I've heard people debate this before, I think it's very possible.

Some of you need to listen to Ted in the future when he talks, he always tells you little things about the mother.
1. The mother is Cindy's roommate, he's said that. The girl at the bar that Cindy ended up with was not the roommate. Ted just believed she was at the time.
2. The Mother is part of the economics class Ted accidentally goes into the first episode of season 5.
3. Ted had her yellow umbrella for a few years after the St Patricks Day party but left it back at her apartment (or whatever) when Cindy broke up with him.
4. Robin is NOT the mother. I don't know why people are still convinced she is, he refers to her as Aunt Robin. It's possible that he might end up with her later, but she is not the mother of his children. But I think that's unlikely to as when he sees Wendy the Waitress in the future, he refers to his wife and their kids.
5. Ted meets the mother at a wedding, most likely Barney's, I think Punchy's wedding was just a distraction in season six. But Robin also

Here is what I think in regards to Robin and Ted... I don't believe Robin is the mother of Ted's kids. That is obvious. Anything else would mean the writers have holes all over that script. However, I do think Ted and Robin will ultimately end up together. If you have ever seen "Definitely, Maybe," you would see a script with a similar theme. The entire movie has a girls father explaining to her who her mother is. The end though has an interesting twist, which ends with her mom being the woman you hope she wouldn't be. Later you find out that her mom and dad got divorced and her dad ended up with the woman you were hoping for in the movie. This show is called, "How I met your mother," not How I met my wife. In conclusion, I think the story is indeed about another woman, but later he ends up with their Aunt Robin again. The reason that they probably know her as Aunt Robin is because when he originally married their mother, Robin would have to be called Aunt Robin because she was

It is not Barney's and Robin's wedding. If u remember in one of episodes in season 6 after Robin's break up with Don, Robin was all weeping, sobbing, crying she and Ted was sitting on sofa when she asked him if he would like to be hers best man (at her wedding someday). So if he is Barney's best man it could not be theirs (Barney's and Robin's) wedding. Plain and simple. I hope Ted meets "mother" by the end of season 7, or i will stop watching the show.

I think Barney marries Nora and because Nora and Robin are friends(that is how barney met Nora ) Robin is the maid of honor and she is involved in the wedding

What if Barney marries Robin's sister, Katie I think she's called??
No evidence, but Robin would be probably maid of honour, so with the bride which shows why she's not in the wedding scenes. Plus the producers said his wedding would involve Robin.
As for the mother, I actually like the theory about it being Victoria from season 1. Met at a wedding, and then she lives with your woman, whoever you call her.
I also think Barney's gonna meet his sister, and she's gonna be a lot like him. Didn't he say that girls with ly are Dirty. And he's going to become a very protective brother

Well i guess barney would weds robyn, just read the spoiler that the producer gave us. He said that 'marshall and lily will be "joyous and happy" as they embark on parenthood.' and what else could made them that way than see their two best friends weds for each other, like they already did when they ask barney and robin for a double date. . nora could be a 'decoy' because when barney and robin tried to stop ted when he's going back with zoe, they seemed 'completing' each other with their 'advice' (well, just a thought)
