@Becca - Yes, Katherine had been invited into Elena's house, but not into the Salvatore house after the boys signed the deed to the house over to Elena to keep her safe. That's why everyone is speculating on that issue as Elena never invited Katherine into the Salvatore house after she became the new owner.
Great episode - not sure that the cliff-hanger was as epic as that of season 1, but I'm still strongly anticipating September to find out what's going on. What an amazing show.

Five things I enjoyed from The Finale. 1. Stefan forced allegiance to Klaus and going merciless on us Blood Bags.2. Jeremy getting shot only to return with Dead People.3. Elena kissing Damon as it changes everything going forward. Elena now has something else in common with Katherina. Also , Katherina stating ."it's okay to love them both I did."4. Sweet Caroline5. The originals were great this season and suspect only more intrigue to come.

First of all i am so upset that stefan is leaving with klaus i know that he was just trying to save his brother and he chose damon over Elena which was awesome to see that he does love his brother despite everything that they have been through hopefully damon and elena will go bring back elijah and find a way to save stefan i am not a delena fan!! It would be a pretty selfish move to try and get in on your brother's girlfriend after he gave himself up to klaus to save your life!!! Damon is the reason why stefan was turned back into a monster!! Don't get me wrong i am a total Damon fan but i wish somehow they would put another character in the show for Damon to fall in love with so we wouldn't deal with this whole love triangle thing thats been going on for more then hundreds of years it's getting really old! If elena gets with damon in season three i am probably going to just drop the show because i can't stand the thought of the together! Stefan may be going to the dark side but the o
After seeing "The Gates", another Vampire series (look it up there is only one season -it was canceled) When a witch brings a human back to life that human turns pure evil, like some sort of Demon. It might not be the same for the vampire diaries, but it was an interesting idea. we will see what happens..

It's weird how many people were surprised about Katherine being able to get in the house....she's been in the house a LOT before this. She was invited in last season by Jenna - remember? Season finale, right after the kiss on the porch with Damon, Jenna invites her in and she butchers John with that knife. Then who knows how often she came in acting the 'Elena' part. Another notable appearance was this season when she waltzed right in with Stephan to kill Luka's dad (Jonas?) when he was after Elena.
Also, Jeremy and the ring - as Caroline (or was it Bonnie?) reminded us right at the moment that Jeremy lay dying, the ring only protects you from death at the hands of a supernatural being. Caroline's mom is human, and since she's the one that killed him, the ring wouldn't work. Is this show too quick for you guys?? I am such a dork....
the ring didn't work because a human (the sherrif) killed jeremy, not a supernatural being, which is what that ring protects jeremy from :P And omgsh jeremy can see dead ppl now?! there's no way anna or vicki are alive so yeah! WOW! And Stefan's gonna be off with Klaus for a while, so that'll leave time for 'Delena' to possible develop?
And also, Klaus is such a rat to his brother who he 'gave his word to' to show him where their family were. BUT if elijah did kill klaus damon would have died so ARGH! ;D

Wow Great Episode. TVD has wonderful and creative writers. The actors are very talented and as a bonus they are all hot! I am so interested in seeing the evil Stephen. I think he plays the role of the bad brother really well. I want to see what evil Klaus and him will be up to.
As for Jeremy and his previously dead ex's? Is he able to see dead people? That would be a really interesting twist for this character. He has always been in the background this will certainly push his character to the top of our minds. I loved seeing Anna I always liked her. Vicki could care less about that character. I wonder if Vicki is still mad at Damon and Elena. I'm excited for season 3. Bring on Delena and Stratherine! But in the endgame I am so routing for Stelena.

Wow, what an episode loved it. Stefan certainly proved that he loves his brother and knows that Elena will understand why he had to do it. I'm sure that Damon being Damon will take full advantage of Stefan's absence and try and move in on Elena. What I love about Elena is she and Elena will do everything to save Stefan and I'm sure Bonnie will help.
Is everyone forgetting that Alaric was married to Elena's biological mother, Isabel? It's possible that Elena already views Ric as her step-father and he her as his step-daughter, as proven by his need to protect her from Klaus.
Elena and Damon's kiss was not out of pity, as proven when Katherine told Elena it was okay to love them both as she had.
I'm positive that Jeremy seeing Vikki and Anna was more to do with the spell than Bonnie saying she loves him. You have to remember that when Bonnie asks him how's he doing, Jeremy replies that he feels different.
I feel certain that Klaus will send Stefan after Elena once he learns that the Petrova doppelganger is still alive as I have the feeling Elena can somehow put the curse back on Klaus or at least be the key to turning him back into just a vampire. And with her being the last of her line , Klaus would want her dead to prevent his "curse" from being placed on him once more. And then of course Damon would have to be in charge o

I have a theory for why Jeremy can see ghosts. When humans with vampire blood in them die they don't technically die, the come back pretty soon after. And with Elena when she came back to life John died, a life for a life thing. But when jeremy came back he died and was not ment to come back, maybe he can see ghosts because he disrupted the life ad death balance?maybe a part of him is dead?
I am so annoyed that Klaus killed Elijah, elijah looked sooo mad when klaus put the stake in him. But I am confused when you put a wooden dagger in a original they come back to life on their own, but if Klaus put the white ash dagger in elijah what is keeping the rest of his family there? i thought there was only oe white ash dagger!!!!
If joseph Morgan was not amazing I wold hate Klaus!!!!

Ok, Stefan going bad. Thrilling. I think somehow that this will bring Elena and Damon closer. In the books they're alot closer and I like how they're relationship is, bubt if it keeps developing that way it was in this episode, oh my gash, it's going to be a bit complications and a lot of tension. But when they meet Stefan again I'm wondering if he will hurt them if Klaus order him to. Finally Elena is showing her true feelings to Damon. Come on, how long can she keep it up? Katherine, Katherine, Katherine. I don't know what she does there anymore. She's not helping them that much. I hope she comes to be alot of help for Damon and the good team. Elijah needs to come back. He can't die, not yet. That the witches are mad at Bonnie can complicate stuff like with what that happened to Jeremy. He seeing dead people and not just any dead people, but the two women that he loved, Anna and Vickie is spooky, weird and confusing because are they a threat or are they there just to annoy him all da

I think Katherine was able to get in the house because Elena died in the previous episode. She came back to life, but she still died and when the owner dies, anyone can come into the house...

im so excited to see stefan properly bad. hopefully katherine will stick around so they can be an evil couple together :)
loved the bed scene with damon and elena. the kiss was just right. if it had been any more than that it would have been too unbelievable.

I'm actually excited to see Stefan go bad. Allows room for a potential hook up with Katherine as well. You guys do remember how hot their scenes were, right?
The episode was just AMAZING !!! About the cliffhager, OMG WHAT THE HELL IS GOIN'ON ?? It's a wonderful idea to make come back the two ex gilrfrinends. Bonnie is going to be happy about that LOL It makes me think about Ghost Whisperer. Elena kissed Damon, it was short but beautiful. I would have liked seeing Tyler.
oh and fair play to those who even rememberd Katherine couldn't enter the house without being invited. The way the episode was going, I was enjoying myself too much to even notice haha

I forgot to add..I am no relationship expert, but when a guy or a girl tells someone from the opposite sex that they "like" them, in 80% of the cases, it definitely means that there is a romantic potential between them. Hence driving to the same point-no pity here. Only true feelings.

After seeing "The Gates", another Vampire series (look it up there is only one season -it was canceled) When a witch brings a human back to life that human turns pure evil, like some sort of Demon. Elena DID die; and the tethering to her father brought her back. That would break the 'seal' on the house. That's how Katerina got in.
Excellent episode--I like not knowing WHY Elena kissed Damon. I have a feeling I'm not going to like the 'old' Stefan...
