Army Wives Season Finale Review: Major Changes...

at . Comments

For a season finale, with such incredibly far-reaching changes, this didn't feel like much of a finale at all. A series finale, maybe, but we already know that the show is renewed for next year.

What are the odds that every one of the characters won't come back? I'd say nil. So where does this leave them? I can't think of another show that has thrown such a huge change into the mix at the end of a season.

Honestly, it's really difficult to talk about this episode, but I'll give it a shot.

Let's start with Michael and the drunk driving incident: I was wondering when that video would come into play. Two episodes ago, they showed it in the previews, and then there was no mention of it last week.

It did look bad for Michael. The police could have run the entire video to try to take the heat off of General Holden. Why didn't they do that? In spite of the fact their own department leaked the cuts of the video to the press, they didn't do much to help him out.

The Hell with it, I just need to get this out there. I can talk about the episode like it was any other, but it wasn't. They are closing Ft. Marshall. Although they've hinted at this many different years, I'm shocked that it's happening. We'll no longer see the beautiful sets, such as the Holden's porch and garden. It's weird the things I think about, but I'm already missing the them!

The decision was made for the Morans, they're moving to California. Perhaps there will be some sort of a migration in the same direction.

Elsewhere, thankfully, Roxy and Trevor have already gotten back on track, so that he can be the father his kids really need right now. It's like they took every loose end and tried to tie it up. It was both exciting and worrisome.

Meanwhile, David was telling his friends tall tales about his birth mom, but still unwilling to accept Joan as his new mother. When Joan told him they were never "giving him back," he finally understood what a family was. When David called Joan "mom," I got a little teary-eyed.

The whole episode was about family, and that no matter where you go, the family you make along the way will always be a part of your life. I can only hope that this means the majority of our characters will be sticking around for season six. Hollywood has a way of making that happen, but I'd venture to guess we will lose one or two wives along the way.

"Farewell to Arms" was poignant, thoughtful and an honor to all of those we have grown to love over the years. I was blindsided by this development, and would love to hear your thoughts and where we might go from here.

We'll see you back in the winter of 2012!

Army wives is great! Last year i was passionate about the show being brought back- this year less invested but willing to give it a try. Bring back roxie and shud not hav killed off Claudia joy.

PLEASE don't end army wives. it has been my favorite show since the beginning, I have never missed a sunday night with "Army Wives". it has been my retreat for the end of the week and my encouragment for the beginning of the next week, whichever way you may want to look at it.I feel i have gotten to know these ladies and one gentlemen as MY best friends and i will truly miss them if there is no more. Don't let me down and bring them back......

My wife and I have never loved a show more than "Army Wive's".
We've watched it from its beginning. This show tells of real life events in the military and has deep meaning to its content. If there is going to be a season 7, then we'll be there watching. Thank you a Lifetime Movie Network. Sincerely,

I was shocked at the ending, but felt this was the end of the series not the season. I don't know why all the women chose to move on. i don't feel it will be the same with differnt people. I don't think Michael can continue without Claudia Joy coming back. Joan loves her job, but has softened after becoming a mother. i think if you try to start over it will not be as good as the orginal and now if you continue there won't be anywhere else to go. If Joan comes back after almost dying a second time, she will probably retire. Denise has done everything she wanted, now that she is almost a doctor and Frank supports her in everything. Roxy and Treavor are complete. Maybe Gloria will go back to Hector, but she will still run the house. Charlie will have her baby so she will be complete. Did the actors decide to move on because the story line isn't as exciting? i am sure no one wants to see Kevin replace Michael

Army wives is my favorite show and every week I look forward to the next episode. Please don't cancel this wonderful show!

I miss Claudia Joy. Trusting many made it out of the what seemed like was a plane crash. But, I am saddened that you thought you had to bring in two females in a relationship. I looked forward to watching every show but am rethinking that and will probably not watch it again unless you come back to the moral issue of "Army Wives" being between a man and a woman!!

If Army wives is to continue all the character need to come back. Not just some. Claudia Joy Roxy Pamela What the hell guys Army wives gives you this incredible chance and now your successful and decide the leave. Claudia Joy I remember when you were on One Life to LIve as tads sister. Suck it up and come back to army wives.

I really hope they continue making Army Wives season 7. This is my favorite show ever. My husband is in the army and he even likes watching this show with me every Sunday. That would just be cruel to end it like they ended this season. If anyone has any info about Season 7, please post it on here! The suspense is killing me!

PLEASE bring back Army Wives. It's unique, entertaining and thought-provoking (in a GOOD WAY). I feel I know the characters & they're my friends too. We need it!

the finale was so sad. This is my favorite show. Please have another season. Don't all the soldiers die in the plane crash. Maybe by some miracle some will live. Will certainly miss Roxy next yr.

Relax, we're not suing anyone. The army is trying to build bridges, not tear 'em down.

Hire Whit. It's my money too, he's the best man for the job, so call him.
