I just have a feeling it's the chemistry teacher. Like in the scene in the classroom where stiles had the yellow highlighter, the teacher walked all the way to the front of the class and then as if he could smell the highlighter, told stiles to put it away, and then there's the fact that he was really concerned about Jackson, who it seems may become a werewolf.

i was thinking the same thing that the vet is the alpha. I like when Kate said I dont know if i should kill it or lick it when it came to Derek lol. I was like licking wouldnt be the only thing i would do to derek

I've got a feeling the chemistry teacher's the alpha and that there are others in the pack. The vet is probably in the pack, but I don't think he's the alpha. My guess is the vet arranged for a mountain lion to conveniently arrive when the police got a few pictures of the animal.
Something I liked about the video store is the shelf that Jackson's hiding behind has copies of "Let the Right One In." Its a Swedish vampire flick that's worth a look if you haven't seen it.

I dont think the vet is the alpha. First off, it just seems way too obvious after this episode. Second, why hasn't he tried anything with Scott? The alpha obviously knows Scott is the guy he bit in the first episode because he follows him around here and there. Third, Scott had a hard time with the cats because they could sense his "dog-ness". The vet has been there much longer, so it can be inferred that he doesn't have troubles with the cats like Scott. I feel like the vet either knows who the alpha is, or was probably just freaked out by the pictures. I don't know, I'm just guessing!! Love this show though!

it was the best episode of the season so far... Colton Haynes, and Aunt Kate plus Derek stole the show..
Ever since Aunt Kate has arrived its getting bigger and better.. can't wait to see how Colton Haynes Aka. Jackson character shapes up.. after he has his Own history no-one knows about ;)

The vet probably released the vet in the car park of the school to through the police off the trail.

The vet is the alpha. When I was looking up characters on IMdB to see where I knew Allison from... It said his character was the alpha from the first episode.

My money is on the chemistry teacher! The Scott/Emily plot was soooooo boring! The rest was very interesting though. I liked that they developed a little bit the other characters, especially Jackson, he seemed like less of a jerk now. One thing that annoys me is that they feel like they have to remind us that they have a gay character in each episode for no reason at all! I'm all for diversity but it annoys me that they plug that Jackson's friend is gay each episode just to seem hip and cool. At least give this storyline some relevance to the show please XD

This messasge is to Dan, the writer of this article. In the video store, the Alpha didn't scratch Jackson. Derek gave those marks to Jackson last week when he slammed Jackson into his locker. Although, the marks did glow a purplish color when the Alpha was looking at them, so there is something up with that.

I got wigged out by the vet and by the chemistry teacher so my bet is leaning toward the vet but wouldn't surprise me if the chemistry teacher knows something... or if he is just that much of a creep.

the vet-boss is the alpha, 100%. he knows alot about werewolves, and got mad nervous when stiles' dad showed em those pics.

Maybe I missed it in ur post, but did no one notice that Scott's vet-boss acted too peculiar while being questioned by Stiles' dad? He knows something... or IS something. Alpha maybe? In another yet mentioned pack? Didn't expect to like this show, but I'm a fan. It's got it's downs, but certainly has lots more ups.
