But that doesn't mean her season three finale shooting won't have serious repercussions, especially on the man who said he loves her.
In the following new promo for Castle's return on September 19, we see Castle struggling with the perilous state of his partner, blaming himself for her fall and fighting with Josh. We also get a very quick glimpse of Penny Johnson Jerald as the new captain, Victoria Gates.
