With NCIS Season 9 just around the corner, the show is prepping for its 200th episode, which is set to air in early 2012, along with other major developments.

Suffice it to say, the brain trust is pulling out all the stops for the coming season and milestone event. Get ready for surprising stories and faces, new and old!

Executive producer Gary Glasberg promises the following to TV Guide:

In Gibbs' Basement
  • A spring wedding for Palmer and Breena.
  • Tony's father and Gibbs' father will return.
  • A Ducky-centric episode introducing a new love interest.
  • A two-part November sweeps episode taking Gibbs overseas.
  • Abby's brother. "The story is so lovely and unexpected," says Glasberg, promising that this will change Abby's whole perception of her past. "There is a big, stunning twist," adds Pauley Perrette of the Abby episode.
  • For that 200th episode, "a unique, unexpected story to help us look back on everything prior." In other words, expect to see Gibbs' slain wife Shannon and daughter Kelly, plus Mike Franks, appear in this mega-storyline somehow.

How do you think the producers will pull that off? Which of the above stories are you most excited for? Sound off on these and other Season 9 spoilers below!

I can't wait to see what Tony's new mission is... Who is the one who is leaking out information...

Oh and get rid of the leftovers from the PTP Killer storyline....HATED IT!!!!

This season they're bringing back Kate's sister...that is cool. Jenny will not be back. I hate to say it...does it seem like the writers are wrapping up loose ends because the contracts are up in the next two years? I HOPE NOT, but just food for thought.

Anything that brings Mike Franks back into an episode is a good thing. It was really something to show his mortality when he was killed by the Port to Port killer, and also the letter to Gibbs telling him he had lung cancer. I was really sorry to see him leave the show. He has always been Gibbs rock and mentor. There has to be a way to bring his ghost back into Gibbs life.

I think there should be a story line with Ziva being taken hostage and having Damon Werth, Former Marine find out who are the people who did this but having Ziva stopping him from killing her captures from what she learned from Gibbs. Then have them spin him off to a new NCIS series in Chicago, at the Glenview Navel Air station (NCIS: Training Station) more of a psychological thing with Melinda Clarke as his boss.

The text that Ziva's boyfriend, CI-Ray, receives says "Kort landed in Tel Aviv. HANDLE IT!"

I can't wait for Palmer's wedding. The cast never is seen in a social environment, a wedding with the gang in attendance could be quite funny.

NCIS is a fascinating program that continues to have the characters evolve and grow. I enjoy the back stories of each character and hope to see more of that this season. It seems that we are getting to know them as individual members of the team. I was really sorry when Tony lost the doctor because of her father (several seasons ago). Whatever happened to her? They had a wonderful relationship and steady commitment to one amother despite Tony being undercover. How did Ziva's romance start with Ray? He seemed to suddenly just be there. Mcgee is one of mya favorite characters. It's been fun to watch him develop. The innuendos between Tim and Abby are so mysterious that it makes me want to see them together. I've always loved Abby's interaction with Gibbs. He treats her like a daughter which shows a tender side to him. Like everyone else, I am looking forward to this new season!

Does anyone know the name of the haunting music played at Mikes funeral in the last episode?

If it wasn't for NCIS I would have gone insane in the hospital. I was in there for 4 months and without NCIS I would have died of boredom.....

NCIS Quotes

McGee: Rule number 70 - keep digging till you hit bottom.
Abby: McGee! There is no rule 70.
McGee: Well, I--
Abby: You just made up a rule. This McGibbs thing has really gone to your head. I don't even recognize you right now.

Well tie me up and call me Loretta.
