Tony to be a little more mature but not too much I like when he makes the jokes and gets into Abby McGee and Ziva's Business so I don't want him to be all serious because Tony is funny. I like when Gibbs head slaps him.
I like the episode but it wasn't my favorite but it was still good.
Tuesday episode looks good I like it when McGee Grandma winks at Tony lol

Stop the soul searching Tony. Please. Granted it's all 'mature' of us to say that we 'love the show'.. of course we do. However.. enough now. Enough. Michael you are the 1% who does not like Ziva..enough said. As for Tiva - we know it's coming (thank goodness and I can see the road from here as Tony does get his baggage out of the way) . Best scene, Gibbs. Smacking the sense back INTO Tony. Now lets put the tissue down.

This episode was what I call 'jamming' on the brakes. We have gone from some very emotional character arcs to 'getting back to the game'.. and it jarred some, however.. all and all a solid B.

I am not one who will say " I loved it !" Simply because I do love this show and the writing so much, I will be harder than most in criticizing when I see it becoming an exercise for the actor and not the audience. Be careful here NCIS. We do love the show - however, I sense the road approaching the end. That is okay, in fact, I would like it wrap up on Season 10. It will b

I agree with everything said in the roundtable. Especially in regards to Tony. Im so glad that you round table members and most of the commmenters agree that tony is mature and always has been but he's just being more open. he's a complex, layered character...he isnt and never has been just the goof.

I agree with many, who see Tony's jokes as more of a tension reliever or as a deflection to keep people at a distance. I don't think he's less mature than several others. He just plays it up because it throws people off of who he really is. Gibbs isn't fooled. I'm not sure if Ziva or McGee have a clue. Not sure what to make of these "round table" discussions, except to say that I think they might need to have a woman on board. Both Matt and Eric always choose a Ziva scene (no matter how high calibre the other actors display) as their favorite, so I guess anytime she has at least one scene, that will be their favorite. Steve seems to be able to appreciate other characters scenes. IMO Ziva's portrayal is stiff and generally has a forced feel, but since she's pretty and their writing her cutesy, so I guess for some, that means her scenes rule.

Hey Maybe Ray will come back and Married Ziva and that how they write her off

I love these round tables, and agree with pretty much all of your comments in this one. I love how they allow the characters in this show to grow and change. I remember Mark Harmon saying that he felt the actors deserved to be allowed to explore their characters, and I think this is so much more interesting than having the "same" person season after season. Anyone who thinks that Tony is "only" the class clown doesn't know this guy at all. I love this journey they're taking him on, and love the balance of humor and a new maturity. Also agree with, I think it was Steve, that "never saying sorry" just isn't Tony. He's the guy who always takes the blame on his own shoulders.
I'm also really enjoying the team so far. The last few seasons they were way too snarky and mean. I feel like they actually "care" about one another again. In the premiere Tony told Rachel he trusted his team with his life, and it's nce to actually "see" that team again. Ziva and Tim giving Tony the present

I am so happy to see a more mature Tony. Face it, he's simply too old to keep on being "Bozo D'nozo" anymore. He showed the mature man during the Jeanne story, and I was sorry to see it all evaporate later. He can still be goofy but PLEASE let him grow up. Ziva needs more to do. Keep Gibbs evolving just a bit at a time, too. Everyone needs to change "the rules" now and then. Give Ducky a romantic interest, he's still one of the sexiest men on television. More Abby time please.

  8. Willie

Im sorry these is NCIS not Dawson Creek

  9. janet

leave season 2 in the past with stuck up kate roll on season 9 tiva,tiva,tiva.yaaaaaaaaaaa.

  10. Michael

Tony MUST CHANGE he has to be season two Tony again instead of Ziva Bitch Tony

  11. janet

tony will never be serious he will be as we all like the class clown and always chasing after ziva,so please dont try to change our tony.

  12. Michael

    I LOVE IT!!!

One thing I think we can all agree on is that Ziva has run her courser and that they need a new female agent

  13. Julie LaFave

The show just doesn't 'feel' the same to me this year. It was so good before! Why fix what isn't broken?

  14. Larry Lafave

Not sure that changes so far in the new season have been done appropriately. It's almost like there have been too many changes and they are happening too fast. A graduale evolution of the format and charictors would be easier on loyal fans. Otherwise we are left with a feeling that "Something isn't right"!

    @Julie
Tony's been mature for a very long time. It started with Kate's death, and then continued to form throughout the La Grenouille arc and Dir. Shepard's death. Over time, Goofy Fratboy Tony became much less of who he was and much more of a mask to be worn whenever he was around Gibbs and, by extension, McGee and Ziva. But whenever he's on his own, separated from Gibbs, the mask comes off. And I think part of his character development will be seeing him let the mask slip around the team, as well.

Well, Ziva's still a sociopath, so there's that. And I'm not sure he's ever actually liked her in that way. He's been sexually attracted to her, and I'm sure he's contemplated a hookup now and again simply because it'd be fun. But a romantic attraction? Not so much.

Besides, he's still a bit traumatized over having seen EJ get shot. While he might not have loved her like he did Jeanne, he still did care deeply about her, enough to stand up to Gibbs over it, whi

I really noticed Tony's new more mature way and it was good, maybe mix it up for him, can't do without some of silly Tony. But now this could he'll see Ziva in a real different way, fall in love with her and ofcoarse like wise for her. Keep Gibbs as he is ! Tim, he's great but sure needs to gain some weight back. His fans do worry about him. All are great, love this show. Keep it going !

Tony, I like a good mix of mature and goofy Tony, as long as he is always portrayed as competent. I love when the episode showcases what Gibbs once said..."He is the best young agent I have ever worked with". I also loved how the team was back as themselves, including Palmer, and no outsiders. Guests are fine and needed but I'd rather have the recurring Fornell, David, and DiNozzo Sr types, not the romantically-oriented ones.

I'm not sure I like the "mature" Tony. I miss his wise-cracking and teasing tone. Some gradual introspection would be alright, but let him mature gradually, not suddenly over night!
