@Quina if the writers want to tick everyone off and rewrite history and go against everything they've said for four years, they could but it's obvious Blair didn't sleep with Dan so he's not the daddy. I don't get Dair fans wanting Blair to look like a fickle slut either on that. She doesn't love Dan and she'll always love Chuck. The picture is rather clear to me.

There is no chance that Dan and Blair is the inevitable pairing. No couple that comes between Serena and Blair has any hope in hell of survival. The writing made a huge deal about Serena's feelings for Dan last night. Dair is doomed romantically but are clearly being written as a close friendship once Dan gets over his puppy love idealization for Blair (it is so The Philadelphia Story.)
Plus the writing is on the wall that Chuck is getting growth so he can be a father and he's not doing that for his legal sister Serena or for Ivy. As for Serena, she's not moving on with Nate and that's for a good reason. They want to keep Dan and Serena alive because Dair is going to cause problems for Serena and Blair.
Anyway, I'm thrilled that Chuck and Blair are obviously getting a nice slow build to reunite and create their family. No hasty reunions for my bbs. Not a Derena fan but I wouldn't mind if they got back together since Serena obviously loves Dan far more than Blair ever c

To me the only inevitable pairing is Chuck and Blair. Derena were good in seasons 1 and 2 and if they can sort their issues and feelings I might be back on board with them.

I'm needing Chuck and Blair to continue viewing the show. Last night the best thing was Chuck growing and Eleanor slapping Blair with reality.
@Maribells I agree with everything you just stated and i'm not sure why people think this ends with "Dair forever". it's pointing the opposite.It's saying Blair sees Dan as friend that's it and her feelings are NOT repressed in any way.

I just want Chuck and Blair and with so much awesome Chuck stuff happening toward his growth I can feel it coming!! Really can't wait. Blair will wake up and something Chair has to happen, for the good of the show lol

I'm sorry, I honestly can't see how some of you think this is steering the show towards pairing Dan and Blair together. Blair knows Dan was having creepy sex fantasies about her, she read his soft-core fanfiction- and she still didn't want him. Reading someone's glowing portrayal of you isn't going to turn non-feelings into feelings... if anything, it might make her like him more in a sort of patronizing, pitying sort of way, but I would hope Dan has more self-respect than to settle for that.
If anything, the show seems to be setting up Dan's crush on Blair as an obstacle in his reuniting with Serena, and (hopefully) the death of the Blair-Serena rivalry that's been a running undercurrent since the pilot.
Meanwhile, Chuck is obviously being redeemed and matured, and it's not for nothing- it's clearly to reunite him with Blair (and possibly even so he can be a father). The show isn't going to end with Dan and Blair eating pizza and watching a movie on the couch, while Chuck and Se

I couldn't agree more. I was thinking about it whenever she came on screen. I was surprised when she said "Hey, Serena this baby thing is a real hit." She is not mother material. She doesn't even seem that excited to be a mom.

I totally agree with Katie that dair should be the inevitable pairing. I also think it is interesting to me how disgusted I felt about the possibility of Serena and Dan getting back together. Dan belongs with Blair now.

I honestly feel like the inevitable pairing is DAIR. For real, they keep steering us back. Crazy CHAIR shippers will see this setting up as Chuck/Blair but the emphasis is on how Chuck LOST Blair (Lily/Dr. Barnes both repeat this). I think the Derena is a red herring and the obvious fact is that Blair hasn't read the book yet. When she does and sees not only how accepting Dan is of her faults but also how much he earnestly loves her and is inspired by her, how could she resist?
I can't wait to see more DAIR action, especially after she reads his book. I think that Diana is Chuck's mother and that Louis will turn Blair away at the altar. The end.
I think Chuck could be a great character but his hang up on Blair and his own arrogance about his relationship with Blair is his downfall.

honestly i hate what blair is turning into. she is turing into, boring, perfect, innocent, anoyying blair! i want the olod blair back! she is so boring with louis and she is extremley boring with dan! this is really getting anoyying. i do not get how people could see want dan and blair together.... its disgusting. they have no passion and that one fake (dream kiss) was pathetic. no passion at all. if there were a dan and blair there would be no show.
chuck and blair need to get back together, they make the show.

(First of all, excuse my english, i'm a spanish fan of the show)
I was hoping for Derena to come back, they've always been the cutest couple on the show (althoungh i'd really admire the chemistry between chuck & blair). They are the beauty & the beast, the rich one & the poor one, Serena is the perfect "platonic" love for a writer-guy like Dan! And it's so artistic a story with such a problematic girl like Serena...
I don't know when Dair appeared on the show, did I miss it? Ok, they are the smartest guys on the show.... but nothing more. I've never felt the love between them...

I am not a Derena fan. I actually dislike Serena most of the time.. But I loved her today. Her interaction with B and D were the best part of the episode. They touched me so much. I felt for Serena for the first time ever... she really needs to work for his affections though...

this episode was a disapointment. it was nopt good at all. i just hope the next one is better. ofcourse sernea and dan are better than dan and blair. is that a joke? dan and blair have no chemistry whatsoever....

That's such a boring pair. Please, Please, please, NO!
I can live without Dair. I really can.. I can also live with the inevitable return of Chair.. but Derena CANNOT happen again. I have been loyal to this show for years now, I put up with all the crazy things.. but really, if the writers bring back that unoriginal, chemistry empty, 3 times proven wrong, boring as hell pairing that show will lose one great fan.
the whole ship war? i try not to take part of.. the reason i stand behind Dair is that the actors sell it so well.. they have such a great bond on screen.. they really do make the show pop. (so does Duck btw.. very much so) but Derena is a black hole that will suck in anything good about Dan. Serena has always been selfish and irrelevant to me. i love blake, and her boobs are great and she really does have the best wardrobe - but that's about it. Dan had so much when they weren't together. Funny, Interesting even happy at times.. ruining him with gluing him to Serena will be a loss of a great character, and really, will not be wo

People think what Serena said to Dan came out of nowhere? No, just no. Do you remember the past 4 Seasons?
Seasons 1 and 2-all about Derena and Chair
Season 3-break from Derena and Serena is with Nate towards the end, but ends up kissing DAN in the finale.
Season 4-Serena chooses DAN, not Nate, but doesn't get to make her choice because of crazy Juliet. Then they decide to wait and not jump back in because next time is their last chance. Did noone think that was going to eventually happen?
Serena and Dan always find their way back to each other every season.
It's obvious Serena never loved Nate like she does Dan. It's definitely not coming out of nowhere when it's been a continuing s/l throughout the seasons.

Who cares if Dan and Serena share a half sibling? They don't have a relationship with the guy, he hasn't even been on the show since Season 3, and they didn't know about him until they were both 18. Dan and Serena are not related by blood. People act as if they share DNA or something. They didn't grow up as step-siblings either.

I'm a Chair and Derena fan. The idea of Dair is cute, but they'd never work as a couple in my opinion. They have similar tastes in movies and they are both very intellient and driven, but Dan could never handle Blair's constant scheming, manipulative tendencies, snobbiness, social climbing etc. That's all part of who she is. It wouldn't last.
