You probably don't remember me predicting the reason Louis was talking to Chucks therapist was either 1) to get her to convince Chuck he's not right for her or 2) to brainwash him if they want to go the soap opera route. Well folks, according to the Canadian promo were looking at a soap opera.

I also just wanted to give a shout out to Hugo for pronouncing "Blair" rather than "Bleh" like a 1940's movie vampire :)

    Great roundtable.

I loved Chuck's quote about Nate speaking old lady.
I think anyone that doesn't see the obvious fact Chuck is being redeemed so he and Blair can reunite is in for a VERY rude awakening.
I think Derena has potential but not until far into the future. Dan needs to get over his infatuation with Blair first. Serena needs to grow up and learn to appreciate Dan more.
I don't think Blair is in denial about her feelings for Dan. She sincerely loves Louis, loves Chuck but thinks they can never work and appreciates Dan as a friend.
I think Blair will make a surprisingly good mother and Chuck is getting growth so he can be a great father to her children. ;)
    Most underused?
Nate and Serena. Chuck doesn't get much screentime but they are using him well. Blair and Dan are getting a ton of screentime so far.

    Most overused?
Dan. Way too much of him so far except when he's interacting with Chuck or giving Serena some truths she needs to hear.

I love Chuck and Blair and I need them back. This episode was just painfully dull without them. Agree with needing more Cyrus- why waste Wallace Shawn.

Can someone kick the royals and Louis off?

Derena was kinda' cute and I think Dan is a douche.

Oh, DB fans they have opinions and whining because they all don't ship Dair is ridiculous, you know, like Blair called Dan this episode.

So happy that Chuckles is finally allowed some real growth. He deserves also to find happiness with Blair of course! Plus, the baby is totally his!

And to everyone whining about how biased this round table is-

    1) They're all entitled to their opinions, just like we are.
    2) There was literally no "Dair" in this episode (or God willing, any future episodes) so there's no reason for them to discuss it.

I agree that Dan's words were amazing. This show needs to get over the teenagerhood of these people. As much as Serena's words appeared heartfelt, it doesn't change the fact that Derena didn't work out mainly because of her. She hasn't changed much despite these words. She still takes Dan for granted and that's why Dan's words were perfect for me. He is over Serena and frankly it's for the best. With her he was never really interesting. Dan shines better without her.

Favorite quote from the episode: well, favorite quote overall was what the psychologist said to Chuck. Poor guy, he looked like he got physically slapped. Favorite funny quote was anything he said to Dan or Chuck. "Since we're not in a Jason Bateman movie, we'll have to come up with another plan." Oh, Chuckles.

Biggest stretch was definitely Diana showing up at an intimate family gathering- with nothing but the introduction of someone who isn't even part of said family- and no one acting like this was odd. Nate being dumb isn't a stretch, it's pretty much just the status quo now, heh.

Chuck's redemption has finally begun and I'm definitely on board- what I love most about it, though, is that they're not taking him out-of-character to accomplish it. He's still the same snarky bastard we all know and love, he's just finally facing some hard truths about himself.

I agree with Steve on Dan and Serena. I'd like to see them reunite eventually, but their relationship definitely need

Okay, this Round Table is severely biased. There is not a single Dair shipper on the panel, which is quite depressing because it shows how warped some of the fans of Gossip Girl are. And has everyone but me forgotten that Dan and Serena share a sibling? Their family reunions would be fun - and traumatizing. Derena is done. At this point, they all just deserve to end up alone. They'd probably be better off that way.

I don't see what you see.
I see Blair protesting too much about the book being just fiction.
I see Louis as the father of the baby.
I see Dan not being at all into Serena anymore.
I see Chuck nowhere near real redemption and frankly he should stay fun and naughty!
I see a big twist coming up.

Steve, you might as well start calling this the Chuck Table.
Where on earth did these three female Westwick fans come from??? Egh.

Anyway, best quote of the night was by far Dans' - "How can either of us know who the loves or our lives are until we're old?"

God, someone had to say that after 4 seasons of teenagers committing to each other " like, so, forever."

Infact, that line is so good and so true that there is nothing more to say apart from F*** Chair and Derena. May they NEVER reunite.

    Thanks.

Courtney: Chuck redeemed himself with me when he let Blair go, but hopefully this is the beginning of him coming around back to becoming a functioning person. He does need the help and if it helps him win Blair back, then Chuck Bass redemption is the way to go.

Christina: I’m not entirely certain, but if “the redemption of Chuck Bass” is needed in order to get Chair back together, I'm game.

I'm with Courtney and Christina. Chuck is growing so he and Blair will find their way back and I support that.
Not enough Cyrus and all and in the middle of crazy, pod Blair I could have used his humor. Thank God for the Eleanor and Blair heart to heart. Of course Blair will be a great mother but she'll need to be calmer if shes
    having that baby bass ;)

I'm not even a Dan or Derena fan but their scenes were very cute and sincere. I could buy into that.

Loving Chuck's growth and can't wait for Chair to find their way back to one another!

    @Quina
As much as I want Dan and Blair together I don't think a baby would be the right way to accomplish it (although Dan as a father was so adorable!). Plus everything seems to point towards Chuck as the baby's dad (no surprise there). That would be a real surprise if it's actually Louis (which I'm crossing my fingers for).
As for the round table, I'm glad some agree that Derena need not happen again. Like you said, Dan needs to be his own person and he realized that when he was no more with Serena, and that's what he is doing now. I don't want him with Serena. I'd rather have him happy alone working on his career and succeeding than with her (of course I would also want him with Blair but we know that's quasi-impossible by now).
Dan and Chuck is always great. It's true that it reminds me of Dan and Blair's banter which I miss so much. I felt so deprived of Dair this last episode. The only scenes that helped me get

  14. emma

    @QUINA that's impossible. dumb.

and i hate ivy.. shes so annoying. i miss it too when it was just the five of them. (and jenny...) season 1 was my fav.

  15. QUINA

If the writers really want to shock every1 they need to make the baby to be dan's and put dair as the endgame

  16. Chair

i kinda like ivy... and noooo no one could ever compare to hideous vanessa! glad shes gone :)
