sorry but I think it is clear that the series are mirroring the books. the twins, the doll in Allie's hidden place, the sanitarium, the "it's a secret".. it all fits.
mona might not be -A (I really think she is, the whole Hannah and her party thing fits) but I'm positive that Allie is Courtney and Allie killed her sister.

Awesome episode. I really loved it and can't wait to see the new episodes. And I liked Ali's point of view a lot.
But where was the pic of her, Jason and her sister? I couldn't see it.
I like they are getting some things from the books because Jenna and Mona were friends before the Jenna Thing and actually Mona say the Jenna thing

i liked the way jenna was in this episode and seeing her stand up to ali but i hate the way she is now.i was shocked to find out that mona and jenna where friends.in the flashbacks we saw that ali was mean to them somtimes but in this episode and seeing the flashback as a full episode we really saw how mean ali was and im still trying to understand how they could all be friends with ali.

When did Aria bump into Ezra? I wanted to see that part, watched closley for it but guess i missed it. I noticed Ali's story of one twingirl stabbing the other and the pic of her jason and Courtney. I don't feel like i got any answers/clues though.

I though it was creepiest when A;i put the note in the dolls head, and hid the doll because remember we found that box and the doll in the present on the show its just we've yet to open her head! Also when Jason said if she found out what the video was then he's have to kill her.......

The author of this blog was not paying very close attention to this episode. If they had been they would have noted that there was a picture in Ali's room of her with her twin (and Jason). The girl who plays Ali even said to pay close attention in the beginning for a 'clue'.
I just have trouble understanding how these girls continued to be friends with Ali. She was beyond mean. They had NO backbone what so ever!

Total crap. This episode didn't really expose anything we weren’t already aware of, nor did it allude to any ‘A’ suspects that i'm sure havn't already been considered.
So many irrelevant scenes.. Complete anti-climax!

Everything you said was so true. While it was great to see all the random characters make appearances, I feel even more confused now! The PLLs were such doormats then, especially Spencer and Hannah. I still don't see how they wanted to be friends with Ali but when you're that age sometimes you don't see past the popularity and school food chain. Noteworthy things: Lucas calling Ali a bitch, Jenna and Mona, the hot cop. Also Jenna looked beautiful!!! She's a pretty girl normally, but she was so different in this episode, so confident and stunning.

i actually agree i liked jenna in this epsidode she really challenged alison , and i think there was another A becasue did you see two people in the same costume staring at them , i think it was lucas and mona

I can't tell if the twin thing was setting up for the book's plotline of Alison's twin or if it was the show's writers paying homage to the book series that started the show. Either way, the story was creepy.
I really, really prefer the girls (especially Spencer and Hanna) the way they are now as opposed to when they were with Alison. It was weird seeing them timid. I honestly can't understand why they put up with her for as long as they did. I'd actually love Jenna for standing up to Ali if it wasn't for the scene with Toby and Emily that showed that he was already suffering under Jenna's rule. Poor boy, I wanted to give him a hug.
And as much fun as this special was, it was...weird seeing Alison for a full episode. It's one thing in short flashbacks where we see how manipulative she was, but a full episode showed that she was borderline psychopathic. Honestly, the smug, condesending way she would talk whenever she had a secret, is it any wonder she made so many enemies?

Was it just me or Allot of --A text's (in parts) had been copy from what Ali had say on the past (this episode). Put attention on the episode and allot of what Ali says we can find it on the --A messages but on other way or just a little changed... The doctor is IN...

I must say that I enjoy this episode and think that they will probably go with the twin storyline but I don't know because why would they bring it up just now. I also like Jenna Lady G outfit and was suprise that Mona and Jenna was probably friends once. I think that is the reason that Alison threw the firecracker in Jenna's home because she was becoming more popular than her if she was invited to Noel's party without Alison knowing her.
Aria: This is Mona; she started lying when she was a fetus.
