The Katherine switch up was fairly obvious... you could tell when Elena suddenly appeared in two different places at once in different outfits... It's not that it's been done to often it's that they made it very obvious... stealing the coffins was fairly obvious when Stefan called Klaus... I think the biggest surprise was Katherine saving Damon's life... maybe there is a heart under that ice exterior. Anyway in 2012 I want more DELENA ACTION... with Stefan away on an anti-Klaus regime and Katherine clearly back on the run, it's time for Delena.

Okay even I could've beat Klaus at Beiruit. He barely had to throw the ball, the opposing cups were so damn close!!!! And then he would snap my neck, rip my heart out, or some other typical Klaus reaction.

i think that Damon and Elena's growing bond is the most exciting thing this show is offering along with Stefan's new "self" that i have come to love hehe...Damon and Elena used to be friends....allthough...in my opinion,when one of them was in love with the other from the beginning and that is Damon, no true friendship can exist....cause feelings are complicated! Elena is surely overwhelmed by conflicting feelings for Damon, because the only thing keeping her from him so far is the fact that he's Stefan's brother....but...hopefully she will give in to her emotions soon......that's the EPIC THING!

1. klaus crying. that guy really has showed some of his humanity-and as we've learned from Damon, we just cant resist awesome bad vampire going kinda-good on TVD.
2. nope. even the vampire diaries can't handle that many characters. with him gone, we'll just have more time for forwood.
3. what about elena stabbing Rebekah right in the back? defenitly didn't see that one coming. i just really hope that they are gonna wake her up soon, coz I started to love her.
4. Damon&bigbadvampirefather were united against Klaus and they didn't succeeded... who am I to even think about having a chance in beating Klaus at anything?
5. forwood. and elena to become BFF with original barbie (yes i know she is death. but this is TVD. she will be jumping around in her shorts next week. the problem is that she may not be extra happy with elena being the one who killed her). and delena kiss. and some HOT original brothers. AND MATT GONE. seriously, why is he still alive?

1) best scene was a tie between the showdown and the last Delena scene. One has an immediate impact, the other long term. 2) I don't know is he was killed to soon. I just met him, I was intrigued but not yet in love with the character. I wish they had atleast layed more groundwork for him. It makes me not care as much about the originals. Especially when they stake poor Rebekah so early. There is a character I want back stat. 3) Only because of the frantic pace of the episode and the length of time since we last saw her, Katherine posing as Elena. I admit she is a plot device (so is Bonnie/Jeremy/Matt etc) but since Elena is just now getting interesting, she is the badazz chica I need. BTW I would have liked more review and less drooling over Rebekah. Oh and Im getting sick of the Caroline/Forwood talk. I love her and them but Its making me sick, especially when they are not the main characters/couple. 4) really??? 5) Headlining what I wanna see is Delena, obviously I'm not

1) Definitely a face-off between Mikael and Klaus. Joseph Morgan was great in those minutes and the entire scene was just so intense.
2) I think he was. Klaus is enough for a bad guy but I thought there was something so interesting and different about Mikael. They could've done more with him being their father and a vampire hunter and I honestly would've like to see more of him.
3) Rebekah not finding a date seems impossible. She can flip and cheer better than Caroline! But in all seriousness, I was more shocked with the abduction of the Originals.
4) Haha. Not a chance.
5) 2012? Give me Delena! Now that Elena's agreed she needs to let Stefan go, I think that's the green light for her and Damon to get together.

Can I get some Delena in 2012?!! I'm all for building up supercouples and its definitely their time. Almost everyone wants it and as a Stegan fan first, he is better without her or with a Kat or Becca type. Like Forwood and Elijah also.....can not wait.

@Blu: Damon and Elena friends? Lol. Since when do you wanna f*ck your friend? She gives him eyes only a lover would and never gave looks like that to Stefan. When do you touch your "friend" like they constantly do, its only going to get more intimate. I'm not a shipper but calling "delena" good friends is awfully inappropriate lol. Those two make cooking look x rated

2- Yes he was killed off too soon, why build him up like this only to just Kill him that easily???pointless to me

5- More of Stefan in control, Ric and the crew figuring out the next weapon to kill Klaus, of course not too soon. Bon Bon with a new love interest, someone fresh and not recycled...

1.Fave Scene:The Mikael/Klaus standoff was epic...but on a overall character evolution note...Damon and Elena's relationship has developed into best friend territory, they aren't fighting it, they're working together and they genuinely are friends. Admitting that they trust each other, it's been a long time coming...a season ago neither of them would allow themselves to be this close w/o pushing the other away. Same goes with Katherine's move to save Damon and him telling her to take care of herself, and her discussion with Stefan...the character growth exhibited in those scenes were huge!
2.Yes. I would have liked to see him hang around a bit longer...although it was kind of tough watching him verbally abuse and berate Klaus like that...common element of psychopathy? troubled childhood.
3.technically none of them. Rebekah's intimidating and came out of the blue. Katherine has subbed for elena too many times...it's like the first element of any of Damon's plans along with somebo

1. Fav Scene: Elena realizing that Stefan may not be worth saving and calming Damon down... I think we are gonna see some Delena action now.
2. I think that they are seriously trying to make Klaus completely invincible and I don't see the reason. Killing Michael was the last known way to get rid off him. What they should have done was let Michael get hurt and then run off but come back at some later stage.
3. The abduction of the orignals was the most surprising. It seems Stefan can think better when he doesn't have his humanity in the way...
What are the panelists obsession with the fact Rebekah never getting a date to the dance? The writers new they were never going to allow her to go to the dance so why waste time getting someone to ask her out when they could just use that useless Matt. A more prudent question or comment is how heartbreaking was the scene where Rebekah tells Elena that she has never been to a dance and then she stakes her... Rebekah is going to come back

Sorry for posting twice, was something wrong with my mac.
As Lou, I also want to see more development with Elena. But the question is, how can they do it in a believable way. A believable break down (depression, alcohol, nervous break down ++). She might just be a girl dealing with things in a healty way (I know, rare in the world of tv). Have a good cry, an inner battle and then putting it behind her without forgetting the people that she loved and lost. But so far Elena hasn't really had the time for a break down, at least she might feel that way. There has always been someone to fight, and trying to survive. like Buffy once said "right now I'm just trying to survive". Elena has a need to protect the people she love and will always put them first and she has to be strong for them, but she also has a survival instinct. So far these things have kept her from falling apart. But maybe once things slows down a bit (sooner or later it has to slow down some) she will feel the heavy loa

Great episode! In 2012 I hope that Elena and Damon finally get together! Damon deserves a chance to be with the girl he loves.

The biggest question is: what will they do after this season is over? Is there a story big enough or a person/thing bad enough to top the original/klaus storyline? What will they do next? Kind of feels like they are running out of shocking stories (I know there are a lot of stories they could go with, but can anything beat Klaus or the Originals?), or is it just me? I really hope they get more seasons because I love the show. But what storylines could they use? There are only so many things that can happen in a small town like Mystic Falls, what more can happen there without it becoming redundant and far fetched?
I am a Delena fan (and a huge Nina fan), but I love the show as a whole. So I would watch either way. Once I start watching something I usually have to watch it to the end. Even if the quality sinks, my curiosity will still wonder what happens to the storylines and characters and how it will end

Couldn't agree more with Lou! Give Elena some depth, they've done a great job with once seemingly two-dimensional characters like Damon, Caroline, even Matt and Tyler, it's time they gave Elena the same. Otherwise soon the main character will pale in comparison to her supporting players.

Just more Klaus, really...though I am looking forward to the Original family reunion at the end of the cat and mouse with Stefan. I just wonder what they will want once that happens. Just to take back their hometown after so much time on the run, now that Dad's gone?
I am sure it's an unpopular opinion, but I want more Bonnie development. Flashbacks showed witches have the power to trump vampires, there's got to be more to her place...

One things I hope to happen on TVD in 2012:
Elena slipping out. Within about a year she lost her parents, found herself in the middle of a supernatutral mess, discovered she was adopted and was uncle John's daughter, met her biological bitchy vampire mum then lost both her biological parents and aunt Jenna, was sacrificed and resurrected then was dumped by her boyfriend and SHE'S JUST FINE!!! No nervous breakdown, no depression, no alcoholism, no anger. Everyone in the show have been dealing with some inner issues or challenges, except Elena (and Bonnie?). She's so reasonable and so not funny, sometimes I wonder why Damon and Stefan are so in love with her. I want to see the girl struggle and become more complex as a character just like the bros or Caroline did.

What was your favourite scene?
It had to be the climax scene: the confrontation between Mickey Maus and Santa Klaus, which got the latter bawling, and then the fight, fast as the action in a spanish bull ring. I was gripped.
Did Mikael go too soon?
He was growing on me, fabulous diction wot? But i think there was an obvious story arc there. reckon the original witch is gonna appear, somewhat grumpy after this.
Most surprising thing?
The plot twist where we find out Stefan helped Klaus to save his bro, not because he had buckled under Klausrule.
Also, Taylor being completely OK, no man, even great, with the fact that he is sired to Klaus. NO human being should be OK with that. What a dick. Candice time for you to find a new match, how about Cardekah?
Hopes for 2012
Elijah revived. Rebekah stay on. For without Wood. Elena and Damon do it.

Something I hope to see in the new year: Rebekah's return, Elena's impromptu transition to vampire, perhaps the 2 things could go hand in hand. Bekah wants to get back at Elena and (literally) rips her a new one, but little does B(or Elena) know that Elena has been ingesting vampire blood in her coffee/tea/etc for the past half-season.

I know it's super dorky, but what I kind of hope to see happen on TVD in 2012 is an episode where like, Elena, Jeremy, Alaric, Damon, Bonnie, Caroline, Matt, and Tyler all get together for like a happy family dinner. I want one episode where they all get together and be friends and realize that if it weren't for each other they'd all be dead. It would be so touching and realistic, because I mean really how can ALL of their days be filled with this action-packed supernatural shit? They must have a dull day once in awhile, while people are actually plotting these elaborate schemes before they carry them out. That's what I want to see happen.
