ALF, you aren't the only one who would secretly like a Chuck/Lilly clandestine relationship....Chuck has always looked and acted older than his years, so I always had a hard time thinking of Lilly as his stepmom. Strangely, I feel the same way with Rufus and Serena. Perhaps the writers should have a Woody Allen special to shake things up, LOL! Seriously, I wouldn't be thinking this if Rufus looked like Bart Bass. I blame the producers for casting such young actors as parental figures.

well, i give up.
the second half of season 4 was really good. like *really* good.. (if you put aside the Bass storyline) i was so rooting for this show to keep it up this season.. but this constant Chuck and Blair BS killed it for me. i really was rooting for them.. from season 1.. but now, they just make me angry. and so bored.
we have all seen endgames, the oc, oth, and so on.. but never were they so affing annoying!!
this is how it's going to be - blair will wake up, baby-less. serena will tell her how BAD chuck is, she'll go bat-crap crazy.. go to his room, see him crush, the doctors will push her out of the room, she wont be able to find peace, so she'll go to the church, she'll promise to never be with him again or something sappy and idiotic like that if only WILL LIVE!! then, naturally, cause let's face it he's the best, chuck will make it. blair will be no where in sight he'll be sad. she'll be watching him from afar, smile, happy that he's alive, then it will turn to a f

The episode was exceptional and by far the best of season 5. Chuck and Blair killed their scenes! They were amazing. So emotionally charged and heartfelt. I still can't get over how awesome Chuck was when he said that he would love Blair's baby as much as he loves her. Chuck's growth is the best part of this season and I couldn't be happier about how mature and selfless he's been so far. Blair's declaration of love in the limo was simply perfect when Chuck once again tried to make sure she knew she made the right decision. Is there any question that these two love each other more than anything? Too bad their reunion was short lived. :( I can't take any more obstacles thrown in their way.
Nate is the most adorable guy ever!! I hate that he has all these family issues but I'm glad that he's resolved not to be jerked around. Our boy is growing up. Serena was clearly being jealous about Blair taking refuge in Dan's loft but despite her selfish motivations, she was right. Blair didn't ne

I hope Blair doesn't go back to Louis out of some sense of guilt, or because she makes a deal with God in that chapel that she will do the 'honourable' thing if he spares Chuck's life. It would be much cooler and true to the awesomeness that was early GG if Louis or his family somehow blackmails her into going through (or nearly going through) with the wedding because they don't want the scandal of a broken engagement.
Maybe Blair will be the one with amnesia though, and will have forgotten the events of the last few weeks leading up to her realisation Chuck is now 'good' and that he is the one she wants to be with.
Unlike ALF, I think the amnesia route, while totally soapy territory, could be hilarious with either Chuck or Blair as long as the storyline wasn't dragged out too long. Both characters have come such a long way from where they started out five years ago, that it would be really funny to see their reactions to their current lives based on some form of memory loss th

Chuck can't die. He's like a cat, he has 9 lives and they haven't been used up yet. He's only lost about 2/3? Anyway I think maybe Chuck will stay in a coma? Incredibly cheesy, but it might result in Blair going back to Louis for some reason, and having the wedding. Maybe Louis blackmails her with something really bad...I don't know...
Either that or Chuck pulls through, but the near death experience makes him return to his wild bad boy days, or become depressed, and he decides Blair is better without him. Wouldn't really fit in with his recent development though, and would be very disappointing if that happened...
Another option is that Blair is devestated at losing the baby, maybe a part of her blames running away with Chuck. She decides to stay with Louis and the wedding occurs?
Or maybe the wedding is all a dream, except the time jump and the hens night makes that unlikely.
I think the coma part would be more likely with gossip girls drama, but I would hate amnesia,

I did like the Dair scenes and the Chair scenes -- even if the dialogue was cheesy and....I think I liked a few others things I can't recall at the moment. Dan's selflessness and declaration that he'd take care of a child that wasn't his was super sweet as was Chuck's look of pure happiness (a rarity) in the limo before sh!t went t!ts up.
Despite those few scenes, I'm officially sick of every man, woman and child being head over heels for Blair. BLAIR SUCKS THIS SEASON. Right now she's worse than Serena ever was...Blair is a flighty, slutty, pampered, stuck up a-hole. Except she doesn't have the awesome snark she did in seasons past. Oh well they've ruined every character on this show at some point, guess it was Blair's turn.
Ivy finally spilled the beans and....that was it?!? No payoff?? Rufus walked away like nothing happened. How LAME! There should have been some reveal. Maybe they'll still do it via this Gossip Girl takedown and Rufus can develop amnesia or something.
excellent review :)
for all those who hated Dan because of Dair, you must all praise him now. although he had no chance to be with her, if her told her how he felt, she would certainly need to go to a mental institute. poor girl has enough problems already.
btw i have to say this again but Dan has won my heart completely.
now what was with the ending!!!!!!!! like seriously wasnt torturing Chuck in season 3 finale enough?
viewers know that Chuck cant die, orelse Gossip Girl will lose more than half its viewers. so why do that??!!!!!
overall good episode.
PS i didnt say anything about Chivy because im glad not to be seeing her again, hopefully.

I actually enjoyed this episode, because it had every ship in it. Chair, Dair, Derena and Rufly.
The most conflicting for me was Ivy. She seemed to have reached an emotional submerging bond with the Van Der Woodsens, which really awed me. I partially enjoy Ivy/Charlie because all she wants is to have that fairy tale life (Which she never had).
Even though I am a Dair Shipper, I loved the Chair and Derena scenes.
Please don't let Chuck die >.

I wish this ship war between 'Dair' and 'Chair' would stop, because it's ruining the fun of watching. If this episode showed anything, Blair considers Dan to be a trustworthy friend and right now that's what she needs from him. She came to him for help and like an amazing friend he helped her towards a happy ending which was incredibly noble of him. Until Blair shows romantic feelings in Dan (which she herself is willing to acknowledge) then the ship is a friendship and can we please leave it at that?
As for Blair and Chuck... oh god, 2012 will be emotional for them both. My biggest question is, what will drive Blair back to Louis? I can't imagine it'll be anything Chuck does this time. I'm actually interesting to see Serena, Nate, and possibly Dan, Chuck and Blair team up against Gossip Girl. And just who the hell is Diana??
And if Chivy goes the way of Vanessa or Jenny, that'll be one Christmas wish granted!

i'm a Dair and Chair fan. i like both couples for different reasons and i think blair would be happy with both. she just doesnt realize how much dan has done for her yet so shes not as receptive yet. give it time. i think shell come around. chuck and blair have that forcefield that physicists cant penetrate (def a memorable dan quote) it really is like their magnets. they'll prob end up together in the long haul
that is if he isnt dead. because the writers already did the damsel-chuck in distress story line..i dont know if theyll miraculously bring him back again. but then again, without blair and chuck, would gossip girl self destruct? Will Chair start AND end in a limo?
withuot chuck, no more signature man-pur, Duck, or Monkey :(. it cant be.
for the first time on gossip girl, i really like nate. he isnt chasng after some person i dont care about, he's doing something with himself. if he stays like this he'll slowly become one of my fav characters. trip's hoo

I don't think Chair will be together just yet. I still have hope for Dair. This is GG so you know Blair will find out some way shape or form. Idk I don't think Chair will be together this season. I used to love them but she needs someone like Dan. He is always first to sacrifice himself before Chuck. I think Chuck and Blair need to grow from each other and Blair should be alone for a while.

i think if chuck bass were to really die.....we'd would have heard something about ed leaving the showing or rumours of him doing other things. isn't he still seen on set? in saying this ......its a bit tiresome to see him nearly die AGAIN. i get they want us to feel that chair will do anything for each other but seriously...chuck gets shot and now in a serious car crash....if the show makes it to season 6 he'll prob survive a plane crash.
i hate you writers, hate you pruducers, i really hate this last episode. Again something hapen to Chuck, boring!!! (like all the other seasons). Blair being so inmature, shes not 15 anymore!!!!!. Please i dondt want to see more trash, this season so far has been pathetic, boring and repetitive. The only clever thing at this episode was serena realising Dan doesnt love her, and the Dair scenes.
Hope they give us something good cause all they are doing its telling us the same story since season 2, 3 and 4, same trash.
In my opinion I think the producers and writers arent into the show anymore, looks like they dont love wath they do anymore, its like if they are making the show repetitive so WB gets the show canceld, what alse could it be? they are ruining the show.
I think that prediction will happen when Blair won't end up being with Chuck ever. Which is never? LOL.

i loooooove love loooove the chair scenes tonight. Most epic episode yet in my opinion. i actually liked the way they had nate watch the crash happen, if he wasnt there then the episode would have cut off at the car being smashed into the side of the road as the cliffhanger. BUUUUUUUT i think that BLAIR should be the one severly hurt not chuck. i only think that becuase they already had chuck get shot, & now this. Hes always the damsel in distress. im glad blair lost the baby, i think that when chuck gets better he'll be there to take care of her. hopefully. i really hope the writers dont screw it up! xoxo anongirl.

Yeah, both Chuck and Blair deserve their happy ending, even Dan could see that.
@Sandra
I think Dan is oblivious to how Serena feels about him. I think he's still bitter about Ben if I'm being honest. Look at how he reacted to hearing about Max, and how he said no wonder Serena was interested in him. I for one think Dan needs time to get over Blair and realize that Serena is the one for him. I think it's much more realistic for Serena to be unsure all these years (but always have that connection with Dan) because of how young she was. But she's realizing now that it was Dan all along.
