Pray for Chuck!! I think he'll be fine but OMG you are so right, his loss would be catastrophic!! I dont know about the baby but I want to keep it, especially after tonight, whoever the father is.

I agree, it was great how the stories all tied together, but OMG the best was CB, the lines tonight, their love. Just amazing. before the big tragedy that is!

Ahhhhhhh! Such a marvelous episode! I can not wait for the next episode! :) such great acting and everyone had a great storyline! Loved it! Best by far of the season!

Serena said that nobody is sending blasts to gossip girl because their identities could now be exposed, then ivy sending that blast means that she won't be exposed or what? if not, this is gg after all!

I thought it was a great episode.

Dan did the right thing. He knows Blair is completely in love with Chuck and will never feel that way about him, and it would be selfish to try and get in the way. He knew that would make her happy which is why he set that whole thing up.

I want Dan and Serena back together, eventually. Dan was a jerk to Serena but he apologized so I'm okay with it. I do think it needs to happen organically like another poster mentioned. He needs some time to get over Blair.

I'm frankly sick of all the Chair hate and hate for Serena. You don't have to like them, but that's no need for so much hate.

I noticed that the breaks were obviously cut from the start, so yeah someone was trying to off Nate, probably Tripp. Although I didn't think Tripp was that crazy. But it's possible.

Blair doesn't lose the baby! In the promo we see her walking in the hospital. When a woman suffer miscarriage can't even move! What i believe is that when she is praying for Chuck(as we see in the 511 promo)she make something like a "sacrifice" like if God keep Chuck alive she will marry Louis, because she thinks that is her fault that Chuck is hurt and that's why the wedding is going on!

  6. Rosie

I think Chuck will live, but I don't think he will end up with memory loss or something because I'm pretty sure that happened at the start of season 4 when he woke up from getting shot didn't it?
I think it sucks that all this crap has to happen to Chuck, I mean, he is probably the character who has had to go through the most on this whole show. People always say 'blair deserves her happy ending'. But I think that Chuck actually deserves to be happy more than blair. It is terrible that people are saying they hope he dies.
I wish they could use this thing with Chuck as a chance for Blair to realise that she needs to stop mucking around with Louis and Dan and just be with Chuck because you never know what can happen tomorrow.
I also get frustrated at how people are saying that Dan deserves Blair more than Chuck because he was so selfless in letting him have her. If you haven't been watching for the past season and a half, Chuck lets Blair go selflessly so many times I lost count!

urghhh im sorry but all those chair scenes seem so forced...i don't think that spark from seasons1-3 is there anymore.....the writers are ruining their love. i really want chair back together but none of those scenes tonight sparked the same feelings as the other times they got back together. i just hope when they finally reunite chair for good it will be done properly. ive read suggestions that chuck will loose his memory...if true i hope blair sticks by him though this. however not sure sure as the wedding is coming up...it will only add insult to their love if she weds louis only to run back to chuck. i mean the producers always talk how they treat these characters like real people.....girl marries prince only to run back to her old flame not long after?...c'mon, thats not relaistic at all...though everything i have said is just speculation. the prince storyline was a complete let down! Im also upset that they let 'inside' drop off the radar as well...that had so much potential. als

oh and i think it was jackASS bass who planned this

The episode itself had ups and downs, but that was quite a cliff-hanger: predictable, yet I want to absolutely tune in come January. So definitely it succeeded in pulling me in.

I really enjoyed the Chuck and Blair limo scene. It was beautiful to see them so in love and happy, even if it was only for 30 seconds. I really loved how Chuck insisted that Blair made her own choice. It’s a first since the start of the season where everyone is taking the decisions for Blair. It ended up that Dan took the decision for her, but at least Chuck’s intentions were the right thing to do. The Chuck/Lily scene was touching.

I don’t know what to think of Derena anymore except that I hate how insensitive Dan is towards Serena. Yes, they’re not together, but she’s her BFF for god’s sake. Serena doesn’t deserve that. He acted the same way when Serena was at the hospital in S3 and all he could think of was to declare his love to Vanessa only to ditch her months later for Serena

    what an episode!!!
TO TV FAANATIC: i HATE how we have to watch an ad before a video in this site.. hate it more when the ad itself is longer than the clip we want to see!!! -sorry but that is very irritating!!

Since it was Jack that called Diana I'm guessing she is Chuck's real mother, in the picture Ivy stole from the safe she looked like a teenager. Tripp paid Max to mess with Nate's limo, Chair simply got in the wrong car and with the paps following they crashed.

Blair will probably blame herself for Chuck's fate and agree to marry dumb Louis (where was he at the hospital????)
Rufus was probably the best person for Ivy to confess to, he'll take so long to work it out she'll have more than enough time to slip away.

Dan was very selfless in this episode, I hope he gets a happy ending soon. Hopefully not with Serena who seems to only think of him as an afterthought.

@ALeigh0605 yeah no one gave a crap about the poor limo driver

  12. Olivia

I actually agree that the Chair scenes verged on overly soapy. That being said, Ed and Leighton can pull them off like no one else, so I still always enjoy them.

That kiss in the limo was just gorgeous, so intense and so much feeling there.

Dan and Blair are actually cute and funny in their scenes together, but there's just no way to put those two "pairings" up against each other and pretend that Dan stands a chance. They've made Blair's feelings for Chuck too deep for anyone else to offer serious competition. I do like them bantering together, her comment about "who doesn't keep a silk scarf in their bedside table" was really funny (and reminiscent of kinky Chair sex, lol).

  13. What

Does anyone have the Dan/Serena scenes on YouTube or something?

  14. guinea

    2012 prediction:

Chuck will die. Blair will attempt to marry Louis, but wouldn't be able to do it. Then she'll run off to Dan and stay hidden for a while. Fast forward a few months, Blair and Nate will magically fall in love again and revive the Blair/Nate/Serena triangle (with maybe a side of Dan so it can be a rectangle). And GG will finally stop doing stupidly soap-opera dramatic Chair scenes that only 13 year olds and lonely housemoms like to see.

Yeah, it's never gonna happen, but I'd like to see GG go back to its roots. Adding so many random characters have made this show almost intolerable.

  15. Violet

    Dan is flawless.

Dair ftw. Blair will see it. Bring on the time jump!

  16. Jersey Girl

chuck and blair for the win

  17. Hey

I really wish they hadn't gone through with this Louis/wedding storyline from last season. They should have done a regular love triangle with Chuck/Blair/Dan and of course Blair choosing Chuck but I enjoy Dair scenes, also the added joy of watching Serena cringe that two men aren't chasing after her anymore would have been nice. Dan and Nate seem pretty much over her and i think she expected them to pine after her forever!

Also, Gossip Girl writers, the fact that you copied the Princess Diana car crash was actually unprofessional and completely disgusting.

So Tripp tried to kill Nate, but ended up almost killing Blair and hopefully killed Chuck.
Ivy basically admitted to being a fraud to Rufus and then ran out the door.
Serena continued to be a stupid slut and ruin everyone else for herself.
Dan made a fool of himself, by not going after Blair.
Nate stood there - outside the car - and watched his friends succumb to injury.
Rufus and Lily still have no storyline, besides offering out wise words and being an advocate.
Diana made a random appearance towards the end, only to speak to Jack Bass, who is also involved with Tripp?
Just another episode of GG to be honest.

  20. chair

i loved all the chair scenes, the last scene was very heartbreaking :( but i know chuck will survive! like always, chuck and blairs scenes took my breath away, and the ending was a shocker, i did not see that coming! i still hope deep deep down that the baby is chucks! i just know it is........
glad dan got chuck and blair together, and finaly realized that him and blair would never work because chuck will always be there. blair would never love dan, just friendship.
i cant wait for january, but it seems so far away!

  21. evelyn

Blair on her knees praying... she is going to make a deal with God, that if he saves Chuck, she will give him up.

  22. Caroline

Where ate all of you guys getting the memory problem scenario from? I know that Chuck will be okay. He can't not be okay and he's in future episodes. My theory is that Blair pleads with God to save Chuck. (thinking all of this is her fault because she couldn't make up her mind) She tells God if he will save Chuck then she will marry her baby's father. At one point I thought she may lose the baby and feel bad so that's why the wedding 'happens' but I'm not sure about the miscarriage at this point. I don't believe the wedding will literally happen though.

Also Max is the one who cut the brake lines on the car which is why they crashed. He went to hit the brakes because of paparazzi and they didnt work. I'm pretty positive that it was suppose to be Nates car and Nates cousin paid Max to cut the brake lines. Clearly Nate was in the wrong car we saw that much.

I do hope Blair and Chuck end up together. Leighton and Ed's chemistry is amazing! I think that the lady Nate was sleeping

  23. M

Typical "bad" soap writing. Same old Chair super dramatics, sadly there is something there with Dair and I'm not a shipper. Chuck Bass has 10 lives .....I'm done. GG can't handle original stories, so what's the point?

  24. Dana

I thought the scene with Dan and Blair was so touching. Penn is really a terrific actor. On the other hand, the Blair and Chuck reunion was so cheesy and overdone that I almost laughed....oh wait...I DID laugh! I really don't see how those two can end up together. I think that Blair had second thoughts about Louis, which is why she keeps holding onto the idea of Chuck. However, after this episode, I'm certain that there will be a Dair in the future. I do hope that Chuck is still alive, although it would be great if he either woke up with amnesia or stayed in a coma for the rest of the season.

I'm guessing that Diana will be a blood match and save Chuck's life, which is when it will be revealed that she is related to him. I think Tripp paid Max to leak the break fluid that was intended for Nate. Glad that Charvie finally came clean (then left). Rufus was present in quite a few scenes, although it only served to make him appear even more useless. I wish he had more of a story.

  25. Pat

Who wants to bet that Blair prays to God that if he saves Chuck she'll give Chuck up and marry Louie!

Off-topic: I don't think its predictable that Serena is insecure about Dan, actually its major growth from a girl who enjoyed "testing" Dan just because she thought she could which she admitted to doing last season. I hope they do a long term story of Serena finally being jealous of Blair which has only been done for a ten minutes at a time in a few episodes but I think Serena always thought she could get any guy probably because when she is in high school guys are more shallow and only pay attention to looks. I think this could possibly lead to growth for Derena as couple if Serena also takes Dan off a pedestal he finally took her off of. One issue with them as couple is that they always seemed to love the idea of each other rather than the person itself. I mean Dan knows all sides of Blair even her immature and selfish sides and still loves her, Chuck is the same way with Blair.
