I'm not shocked.. at all. Those were some lame twists. Really.

Also, it did not escape me senses that the analogy that the Evil Prince is
forcing the commoner Buttercup Blair to stay married/marry him.

I'm thinking the real shocker (rather than a shipping war of who is better: Dan or Chuck) was that Louis is staying and staying for a while it seems:

"He (Louis) didn't Fall (disappered forever)?!! Inconceiable!!!"
"You (fans) say that a lot, I do not think you know what you think it means..."

As a Chair shipper their scenes disappointed me. I wanted something epic but... Chuck's maturity is so boring! I miss the old Chuck where he would never stand by and watch Blair getting married to someone else. He would probably show up drunk, disrupt the charade and cause a huge scene!
I also felt bad for Serena and hope she ends up with Nate instead of Dan.
Last but not least I really enjoyed Georgina and Badass Louis!

The whole storyline is so confused now. They want to keep it OPEN so badly that they refuse to take a step in either the chair or Dair direction. Blair loves Chuck she says but runs away with Dan...Please writers to drag it out any longer will just kill everybody's interest in the show for good. Whatever you need to write, write it make it clear. For me of course there is only one way to continue and that is Blair and Dans romantic relation her fighting against it maybe because of S but finally giving into it as she also discovers Dan is indeed her Soulmate. Happily ever after ahah

But even if it doesn't pan out this way make it believable! Right now its far from it!

Chuck the good guy LOOOL very hard to believe! He is not good never has never will be. He had so much more impact and fire as a "villain" now it feels like he morphed from a Lion to a house cat.
At the end of season 2 when Blair and chuck were together he did say I love you but he still had his fire he still was Chuck, but now it just seems forced he isn't that loving, caring, cookie cutter, dog walking, mother in laws favorite that they try to make him now. Never was never will be.

@Bimboboop I couldn't have said it any better!
@Sad the hope dies at last...

I'm slightly disappointed, i see they are trying to get excitement to the show but it seems very hard to believe what happens right now. Blairs pact with god doesn't fit her character imo before she was ever so bossy, she knew very well what she wanted and even better what NOT. After the accident she changed but this whole religious believe all of a sudden does seem very made up to me. I would even say they made a mistake by taking this path Blairs character was Great now it is becoming somewhat more as Serenas: stupid. This is fatal Blair carries the show lol

Also some of the way execution of the writing not sure if it's the actors fault also doesn't seem believable, when Louis tells Blair its a fake marriage, he comes across so flat i just didn't feel the drama that was supposed to be in this scene. Blairs face sheltered the scene partly but still was weak.

  8. He who must not be named

    I see a Chair-Dair war forming.

  9. Bimboboop

I used to love Chair, it was the reason I watched this show. Start of season four I felt like it could still be saved and be believable. By end of season four I felt Chair no longer worked or made sense, while Dair was adorable.

Season five Chair has felt so contrived. Scenes between them used to be epic, their lines were instantly memorized. In this episode I found myself barely paying attention. Pact with God? Really?

My only hope for the show now (and it's a slim one) is for Blair to realize that her 'pact' was really just the excuse she was using to avoid the harsh reality that she and Chuck might love each other, but are no longer in love, and that who she really needs and keeps turning to is Dan.

  10. Sad

Same old crap...why do the writers want Chair as end game please? I agree that they were a nice couple, but they had their time end of story. But no, this weird idea has fixed itself that Chair must be end game. So we all should just go back to our high school sweet hearts is it - even though as we grew older and matured we met someone much more wonderful and, most importantly, more compatible? But no - displaying the mentality of a 12-year old - the writers want Chair as end game and this episode just proves it.

Blair turning to Dan had all the markings of a deep love but no, due to the ever present need to make Chair endgame, the writers will just show that Blair trusts Dan the most as a friend.

Blair telling Serena to confess her feelings to Dan also shows that the writers have no intention of giving us Dair ever.

I hate this show for not giving Dair a chance.

  11. lucas

Blair belongs with Chuck and Serena with Nate. End of story...

  12. Go Fug

Thank God for Georgina she saved the episode.
Blair finally leaves Louis too late
    Honest Chuck again.

  13. Go Fug

Thank God for Georgina she saved the episode
Blair finally leaves Louis too late
    Honest Chuck again.

  14. Dair 4-ever!

I feel so bad that the writers will again give Dan a foil role and it will all be about that ridiculous promise Blair made to God and finally she will see the folly of it and be back with Chair. GG writers please for once give Dair some wonderful scenes together as you did for Chair for goodness knows how many seasons so far.

It speaks volumes that even though they made Dair so one-sided, the relationship still managed to whip up so much support from us all which means we can see that there is a palpable feeling of intense love between Dan and Blair...

Writers - please don't tow the line of the Chair shippers...follow your instincts...follow what a sensible, passionate woman like Blair, who so wants to be loved with a passion and who needs a lover and a friend, would do - and that is go and be with Dan for ever.

1 last thing before I go to sleep (at 3 am haha)...I loved how Eleanor went to Chuck :) that made me so happy. Even she knows that they belong together!!

um @dair ftw (i'm loling at your user name) they will never be endgame. that would be the worst thing ever, and this show has crossed a lot of lines. Chuck and Blair are why most people still watch this show. keep dreaming.

  17. DAIR FTW

Enough of all the madness...we out here want and need DAIR as end game - the only couple that represents the REAL thing.

  18. bossysara

is it wrong for me to hate the writers for thinking that Georgina being GG was going to be the most shocking thing to come up on the show? SERIOUSLY!?!?!?!? WHAT THE HELL!??!?! i was so eagerly waiting for their so called ''last 30 seconds where it all twists", and THATS the best they could have come up with!??!?!? i'm really pissed off

  19. G. Sparks

About the G.G. episode, it's explosive. I died when I saw the homage especially at the beginning. Blair is clearly the new Serena, and Serena is the new Blair by running after Dan (Nate to Blair). Dan is the new Nate. I like Nate this season, the most progressing character among them. I freaked out more when Louis transformed into his real evil self before Blair (chills my spine on that scene) than finding out Georgina is the NEW Gossip Girl. Because clearly, she's not the real one.

    I am.

    xoxo

PS Lovin' that Young Folks in the beginning.

  20. G. Sparks

Georgina is the NEW Gossip Girl, but the TRUE Gossip Girl is in hiatus still. She's not ready to return as she's still doing some Nancy Drew thingy with Nate to provoke him to send a gossip eventually (while attending to Juilliard and doing catering jobs). There's no way that Gossip Girl show will give away the biggest secret of all that easily. Georgina was just bored and decided to make her site the new Gossip Girl complete with whole imitation of the old Gossip Girl site.

Gossip Girl is like A of Pretty Little Liars, only GG is more entertaining and can be funny, without using "b*tches" all of the time.

also I'm totally for Georgina being on the show. She always brings the drama and as long as she isn't getting in the way of C and B, she's fine with me!! Who is milo though?? I thought that was what she named her baby...I guess I forgot that plot line haha

what if instead of running away with dan blair instead ran away with serena..after all serena did say she's prepared to make a run for it..i know the writers are setting up more stories for dan and blair but for me the core relationship of this show is serena and blair and seeing blair trust dan more than serena and it pains me..i mean it seems like it's always dan who knew first what bothers blair and not serena..they are best friends and almost like sisters and yet she's being left in the dark..also, i don't know if its just me or some may agree but since S1 i've always thought serena and dan belongs together..and besides blair's married and she loves chuck more and more each day how can lonely boy compete with that. lastly, i think this real charlie is more interesting than the fake charlie and prettier and come on now writers in my eyes nate's been redeemed and now they're making him make a play to another girl. i thought he's above that..

  23. Elise of the Upper East Side

haha by the way it was funny how little I cared when I saw that georgina was gossip girl. I guess she's a good character to be GG (though we're not totally sure she is b/c she could've just taken over or something) but I always liked the mystery. but anyway, GG isn't as clever or scandalous as she used to be back in seasons 1 and 2, so I don't really care about that aspect of the show anymore. I just want Chuck and Blair. :)

  24. Elise of the Upper East Side
    Rank: Leading Character

I hope there is a lot of c/b next episode. I agree, it seems as if the writers are just keeping chuck and blair apart until they decide when they'll end the show so they can build up to it, which is just lazy. I wish we had the season 1 and 2 writers because they were so talented and would be able to get them together and still keep the show going no matter when it ended. But unfortunately, we're stuck with these writers who are keeping them apart for no reason after we've waited 5 years. Get it together, writers. (meaning get Chuck and Blair together!!) xoxo

  25. annoyed

These writers are producing foolishness for the sake of suspense. Is it that they lack the talent to have Chuck and Blair be together like they obviously should AND keep the show interesting. Looking forward to seeing the ratings drop even lower if they keep up with this stupidity!
