This episode was good but jumped around a bit - we started with sex tapes, ended with bad steel and there was no closure for the poor father. Less Lori made it watchable.(I hope her contract isn't renewed). Steve was being Steve - headstrong and very sure of himself. The fall scene was absolutely epic. The look on his face was so emotional - there weren't enough words to describe it (and am glad no one tried). It really showed his talents as an actor. He has been looking thinner lately but he's simply gorgeous anyway, bad hair or good hair. The jury's still out on Joe - I'm not sure if he's his own worst enemy or the next superman. The Shelburn plot is wearing thin, I hope it comes to a conclusion soon. I liked the core4 being together again and am happy Katherine and Gracie are coming back (albeit briefly). I'm hoping that the sitting-on-the-edge-of-your-seat grittiness returns like in s1. I'm a diehard fan so I'll keep watching (w/or w/out Lori, Joe and Shelburn).

@roxanne steve and catherine like themselves and have known eachother for a long time,so stop trying to downplay their relationship..i am a huge catherine and steve fan..plus i think its lori's fans that like to downplay catherine...just know that catherine(with few mins on the show)is a better character than Lori..i still watch this show 'cos of Alex..this season has not really impressed me.

In the first season Kono had an ex-boyfriend from her surfing days in one of the episodes, where she thought he might be involved in something that they were investigating. At some point I think they will involve Kono with a man outside the team. I'm just glad that they are showing so much more of her lately. I think they did hear the fans who were getting ticked off at her being pushed aside.
@Kelly....I remember reading several articles that they changed their mind on Danny and Rachael because they got a lot of angry feedback from the fans, that Danny was sleeping with a married woman, and what were they showing Grace. PLenkov stated that, "I didn't feel anyone would really care". Since the episode had already been filmed they had to make something else up when the new season started to get out of it.

Steve, the HEAD of H50, has to be told by Lori whom to interview! Danny, his sidekick, has to be told by Lori that a friend of the victim is the one to interview! Danny stands by and doesn't help Steve save a suspect's life! Steve throws a juror, who could have been killed, off a cliff, and lets the kidnappers of Joe go free while he plays the Lone Ranger to save him!
This show should be on the fantasy/sci-fi channel. No one follows the law. Everyone tells Steve what to do. Lori walks around with the same zombie face no matter what is going on, acting like she knows it all. Why is CBS allowing this show to be destroyed by the WRITERS instead of firing them and the PRODUCER? It's a disgrace that the beauty of Hawaii, the culture of its people, and what could be a great show with exciting storylines is being totally undermined.

PL tweeted that Shelbourne will be revealed in 214, so hang on - & TOQ only has a few apperances left, so chances are he'll get killed soon.
Is this the season of the "start off with 1 mystery, solve at least 2 by the end" episodes??? It was great the first couple of times but is now getting old.
Lori wasn't on so much and there was, thankfully, no failed overly-cutesy scene with her. If they kept her appearances down to a Max-like level (the other regular, remember him?????? The one that was proven in season 1 & so deserved regular status???), there might be less complaints about her.
Hopefully with the flashbacks & the Champ box mystery reborn, the show will get back to what it used to be - even though the characters (Danno particularly) & their relationship have changed so much, they'll never the the same.

Catherine's return doesnt mean that something happens between them. In the last episode together, Steve refers to her like "old friend" and Catherine asks the dinner to Steve to change that the favors he asks. Not vice versa.They have a date that night, but was not driven by steve.
For me, Steve was losing interest in Catherine, but the fact that she left the Persian Gulf, I believe, to put it to him in another place.

Thanks for posting the link it's a shame I love to see Danny and Gracie more so that means we will see Gracie for the last time this season in 2.14 (bawl)
I wonder why Peter Lenkov has ask Treilor on the stage in SOTB and said meet the cast of season two if Treilor only is in two episodes this season. Ugh!

Kono is not gay she kissed Ben in 1.06 remember!! so no hookup between Kono/Lori
Many times there is said that most of the fans will never except any love interest for Steve that is not true most fans love Steve with Catherine I can't wait to see her back in 2.16 but the Lori character has no chemistry with anyone of the team I find her a bad actress so blank and whitout showing any emotion at all.

Lori and Kono, NO!!! Never!! I can not take Lori, I think she is boring actress. She has the most pathetic and boring look on her face all of the time and is stiff as Hell. If she was gone tomorrow she would not be missed, especially not by me. I would love to see Kono with the tech, can't remember his name; I think that they look nice together in the brief times that they are together on screen.

@jeffrey...First stop making thing up I didn't take it as being perverted. Second no one has ever said they hate you, only that they disagree with you, those two words do not have the same meaning. Third you are the one that keeps bringing up hate, no one else. Fourth if you have to follow a statement with don't hate me you probably shouldn't have made it in the first place. Finally I don't hate anyone, it takes way to much effort. If I were to hate someone I would not waste that effort on you, I would waste it on someone like Kim Jong Un.

I don't mind Joe and the Shelburne storyline. FWIW, Terry O'Quinn agreed to do 9 episodes altogether and 2.14 will be his 9th... so, I don't think Joe will be long for this world.
I was neutral on Lori, she doesn't annoy me as much as she does with some of you but I agree that she has no value added. Danny and Chin are veteran cops so they can do the profiling as well as anyone, 5-0 doesn't need some specialized profiler to interrogate. The Kono/Lori pairing seems to work, they have chemistry.

I like the mystery surrounding the Shelburn storyline. We'eve only had a small amount of screentime dedicated to it in the last few episodes, so I've had no problem with it and it will be resolved next week anyway. I'd rather that than seeing Danny deliver Rachel's baby. Can't say I'm looking forward to that at all. I've no interest in seeing Rachel come back and I think the writers did a diservice to both Danny and Rachel with the silly baby story and Danny sleeping with a married woman.
I thought last nights episode had some great plot twists and I like seeing meanacing Steve. Except for Lori, I like him interacting with all of the cast, not just Danny.
As for Lori, I thought she might grow on me by now, but she irritates me even more. She's such a Mary Sue character, she's all talk about how great she is but displays no skills whatsoever and I find everything about her convoluted and annoying.

Why I asked a honest question, we have never seen Kono date anyone so we don't know what her sexuality is, and their is some sort of chemistry with Lori, that Lori doesn't appear to have with the others, please don't hate I'm really trying hard to navigate this delicately, and prudently with much caution, jschoi, I'm sorry if you took it like a perverted dig to just raise reaction. I apologize if it came out wrong!

@Lena..you are spot on. The second half of the show was a joy. Maybe they are listening to us after all.
Happy we got the book em danno moment as well. We need more of it. I think things are gonna start speeding up now and maybe we will get more of season 1 type scenes.

@Zia..isnt it strange that he does not answer questions about her but will about everything else. Even other actors on the show. I dont know what to make of that. It is like he refuses to see his creation is not working. I find it odd.

@Jamie..I thought i was the only one who caught that. It is like they forget they are on camera. It was a serious scene and they looked at each other and started lauging. I think their off camera relationship is strange anyway. She apparently knows she has to have someone on her side and scott seems more then happy to be that person.

I also love Alex O'Loughlin thinks he trained to much he has to stop now because I don't want to see him getting thinner.
The Shellburne case will get a closure in 2.14 so thank god not till the end of this season anxious to know who Shellburne will be still think it's a family member of Steve. Wo-Fat storyline with Steve will continue I think for another season but hope the Steve will kick his ass and kills him.
