Psych returns next Wednesday with its winter premiere, and in case you weren't already excited enough for it, consider what James Roday told reporters today on a conference call:

"I would probably say it's my favorite of the Despreaux episodes. [It's] sort of a Spielberg adventure, swinging from things and running and blowing up boats... I also got to work with Madchen Amick, who was my first TV crush."

The title of the installment? "Indiana Shawn & The Temple of the Kinda Crappy Rusty Old Sword."

 

Psych Winter Premiere Promo: Supersized!

Following this homage to Indiana Jones, viewers can look forward to "Here's Lassie," an episode directed by Roday and described by the star as a "tribute to The Shining."

"We also send up The Bachelor, that comes later in the season," Roday previews. " The reality looking-for-love thing, and then we close the season with a little nod to Chinatown, which we call Santabarbaratown."

Of course they do.

Among the notable guest stars during the run of episodes to come: Lou Gossett Jr., William Shatner, Jaleel White and Anthony Anderson.
