Shawn and Gus find themselves in the middle of a treasure hunt when the Yeardley collection goes missing from the Santa Barbara art museum. When Shawn enlists Despereaux for help to recover it, Shawn and Gus get more than they bargained for as they beat out a band of treasure hunters to the mythical Yeardley core collection, but not before a faked death and a funeral which leaves everyone to believe that Despereaux is really dead.
