With Chuck she's constantly creating excuses and drama. They share little to no interest in anything else except pining/chasing each other and then spewing out cheesy lines that you'd find on a Hallmark greeting card.

The Louis storyline, Reina, that French prostitute, indecent proposal, and Chuck's family issues, and Chuck sleeping with Jenny had nothing to do with Dair.
They keep them apart because the fans always whine about them, even when they were together, the fans whined about how boring they were.

LOL so you root for Dair since season 1? Please stop pretending like Dair have always been there. You Dair fans are trying to convince yourselves that Dan and Blair have some sort of history. The Dair thing exists since last season, so I doubt you have been waiting for 4 years.
Dair is not epic, is just an average couple. There are tons of couples like them in other series. Blair loves Chuck, she said it a thousand times, she is just vulnerable and Dan has been there for her as a friend.
Im not angry with u even it might seem like it(that goes for the rest of the roundtable people) and im pretty sure nobody else is angry with you.and Yes i agree that people see things differently.
dont mind me though im just hoping for chair in the end
@Anonymous the real reason why chair broke up in season 3 and have been getting stupid obstacles ever since is because the writers wanted to do a dair story line. The writers even said that if they put chair together now then they have to break them up quickly in a interview. They keep chair apart for the sake of drama.

Also, on the subject of the dowry, that was terribly contrived writing. Blair's mom, dad, and "true love" are all super rich, they could easily split the dowry 3 ways so noone is totally broke by it. I realized after last night's episode that this show's writing and plot lines have become so contrived and full of holes that I'm honestly just sick of it. It makes me sad that a show I used to really enjoy has come down to such utter crap. And I am someone who really doesn't care about the ship as long as it is interesting and well written. Maybe that is the problem, if I was totally invested in one couple or another, I would just keep watching for any glimpse of them together no matter how badly it was done. As it is, I realize now that it's just not worth my time. Sadly, I think it's time to find a better show to fill this void and just give up on any hope of redemption for Gossip Girl. Oh well, all good things come to an end.

I just can't agree with anyone who thinks that last night's episode was well written or even made any sense at all. I honestly have no problem with the Dair thing, but the way they did it makes no sense. Blair has been declaring her undying love for chuck until last episode, and even in this episode shared that longing look at the elevator. Also, she was supposed to be helping her best friend who is in love with Dan. Who would do that to your best friend? For her to suddenly kiss Dan amidst all those other circumstances was just poor writing. If they want to do Dair, then clean up Chair a little first. Now Blair just seems like an indecisive, heartless girl who is married to one man, supposedly desperately in love with another, and kissing yet another. And what happened to not defaulting on her marriage for one year? Won't kissing Dan also lead to having to pay the dowry.

Derena was already screwed over when they became step siblings.

@Guest Oh, they know, they're probably laughing at all the fans, bragging about another season, etc. They've done Chair, it's gone stale and repetitive with the on/off crap and the constant excuses/roadblocks.
@emmalemmala Technically 5 years.
@tori and @jade Yes, you should encourage others to do the same, I heard some fans had a petition to cancel this awful show.
The writers don't really care about the fans or losing viewers, they were whining about it in a interview. It doesn't help that CW constantly gives them the preferential treatment compared to other shows, which is why the writers/show runners behave like spoiled, immature brats.

Its funny to see all chair fans butthurt and acts so immature. Look at those staff members around here, even there's a chair fan in there they manage to act a mature one. No wonder your ship is going down due to this inappropriate manner which GG writers don't give a fuck.

I feel the writers couldn't make up their mind whether to continue the storyline with Chair or Dair for a long time..they wanted to leave both options open for as long as possible (I guess that was why we had to put up with Louis for so long) at the cost of making the character of Blair seem very unrealistic and everyone else repetitive and unimportant! The interesting and challenging thing would have been to really deal with the Chair relationship and all the unresolved trust issues there. With Dair they missed the unique opportunity to create a real and fun male/female friendship, something rare in TV! The way it turned out last night: So predictable (since season 4)!

I think I speak for everyone on the roundtable when I say we are not "shippers." We simply review what we thought of the episode and sometimes think certain people's chemistry is well written. So do not get angry with us! This isn't a shipper thing. Thanks! Keep reading!

I'm new here - but I've commented many times in the past - never on a round table discussion though. So a newbie's observation - so out of the five people discussing, two are obvious Chair shippers, and the other three, while appearing ambivalent about their ship, seem to be leaning the Chair way too (sort of.) What on earth is there to discuss then?
Of course everyone has the right to take sides - I am a proud Dair shipper - but I thought a round table discussion - considering the numerous reviews and spoilers and discussion already on here - I thought this one would be more objective and more of a value-add forum. But no! Why do you need this feature at all, seriously?
I see enough Chair shippers in the comments pages, and that's fine, but I didn't really need the website representatives themselves take sides and then leading discussions about it! After all, this is not a personal blog! Seems quite pointless and I will give this a pass hereon. No offense.

This show needed Georgina to return. I do think that it is very interesting (and against Dan's character) for him not to have a stronger relationship with Georgina than others - given their past. Plus, can I seriously believe that he would not want to see Milo? He raised him and bonded with him for months.

stop watching the show if u are as mad as i am about dair. if we all stop watching, the show will lose so many viewers and the writers will realize that dan and blair were a mistake (just look up the stuff about the other characters online after)

serena will forgive blair for hooking with dan because dan is not blair's soulmate.

which kind of shows that cherena will never happen because he is the only who know how important serena is to blair and respects there relationship. if chair wasn't endgame then they would of made cherena happen.

i love lola and totally agree that its becoming my favorite SL now. can't wait for a chivy takedown. but i do think that maybe cece will left money for charlie rhodes but i don't think chivy has the legal right to claim it since she's ivy. so thumps up for lola she's about to get her rich on.
