Fav scene: anything from Blair at the theater. Her looks, her snarky remarks, the way she bashed them all. Season 1 Blair was there and I was loving it!
Is Dan winning? I don't know about him, but from the last 2 episodes Dair fans sure are.. I'm guessing it'll be short lived tho..
Chuck: plain pathetic. It wasn't half as cruel as he can be, and as much as i love seeing season 1&2 Basshole, it isn't half as good.
Real Charlie: hate het, just like I hated Chivy.. maybe a bit less.
Georgina - I'm guessing no? We all keep saying how much we want her around more, but after season 1, she really is.. sort of.. less.
Dearest CeCe Rhodes! You have brought the lolz to us, and you shall be missed. Peace out and my the force be with you.

CeCe's full name is Celia Catherine Rhodes, as we learned at the cotillion in 1.10; Celia is also Serena's middle name. Rhodes is CeCe's married name; as far as I know, her maiden name has never been mentioned.

@Nice_Hat They don't seem to care about the ratings, that's why the CW allows these incompetent writers to do whatever they want to do, they probably enjoy pissing off the fans with the stupid Louis/Royal storylines.

*Chuck is just... Chuck. He'll always be this way. He doesn't learn. He has to be herded into doing the right things. I really hope he does learn and becomes a better person, but I don't want a Chair endgame. Blair is not prize that Chuck can win because he redeemed himself. They're finished, nothing the writers can do will make me change my mind on this.
Get rid of the wedding. Just like the baby plot it's ridiculous and unbelievable. Perhaps that's the point? I don't know...
Dan not having a backup -> horrible. At least destroy his laptop in a contrived way.
Worried about ratings? Quick, get us a Chair rape scene. *rolls eyes* We'll all get what we want. Chair fans will get their smexy time and the rest of the sane people will have confirmation that Chair is just destructive.

*Dan surprised me. He finally took a stance. I found it distasteful that when Blair wanted a friend he refused. That's what they are above all. I know he did it for her to take a stance already, but I believe it could have been better handled. Also ratting the damn video. I'm feeling dread already. I don't think that's something Dan would do either. It's not his type to scheme or hurt his loved ones like that. Still Dair is riding the awesome train now. It will end pretty quickly, which is a pity.
*Serena stepped up this episode. I'm happy that she's finally moving on from her ditzy stage.

I really liked last night's episode.
*Lola seems to be very interesting.
*Nate has dimensions now. Good for him and his character. Lola has done him wonders too. He's charming.
*Blair looking at the man and sending away just with a glare was just priceless. I wish this whole marriage thing didn't exist though. She comes across as very... what's the word, fickle? She's still good and finally she's looking into a relationship that is positive for her (Chuck is negative) in the right ways (Louis is just for status).

@cb Why do you think the CW is the laughing stock of the network? Gossip Girl isn't doing well, a 1 million viewer/0.5 demo is terrible by any network standard, even cable. In the past Gossip Girl did do well enough, this is the 1st time it sank to the 1 million mark and that's awful. Even Season 3 and 4 didn't do as bad. Gossip Girl has buzz/hype, that didn't help out the overhyped up 100th episode much.
@Where's Waldorf If anything, the writers made Blair's 'I love you's meaningless and insincere with her actions, poor Chuck is being led on, it's really not worth it anymore.
cb
February 23rd, 2012 2:22 AM
@anonymous. I am sure all networks want great TV demos but if that was the niche the CW wanted to occupy it would produce reality shows and shows not led by a younger cast. However, if GG sucked as bad as simple ratings suggest, the CW would have canned it after the third season. GG overall seems to do better than their newest string of shows, so the CW execs have to ask do we drop a show we are profiting from in order to possibly succeed with something else like another Hart of Dixie or do we drop those shows not doing well in all markets. As @junior pointed out and @pty also personally suggested, I have no idea how the CW with shows like GG make money internationally. I don’t know if it’s illegal downloading or if there are itune like stores over there. Perhaps they pull a me and download something like expat shield which I use to watch British telly from the US. But I still have to sit through the ads and ITV 1 knows I’m there even with my “British” IP address

February 23rd, 2012 2:22 AM
Part 2- I agree with you and many fans the writing has gone severely downhill. Who doesn’t have some idea of an end in mind??? Back to @pty, I also agree even though many news- sites blog about GG, those bloggers definitely don’t seem as invested as previous seasons. But if people didn’t link in, those blogs would go away and they haven’t yet. I plan to stick it out to the end and hope that the writers get their act together. I’m not a die hard fan of either chair or dair. I enjoy them both for what they both bring to the show, but I do believe had they not have done something with dair then what would have been the point these last two seasons and their writing would be unrepairable. I’ve enjoyed the last few shows and I hope the season only gets better, especially for chuck.

Wow Dan gets so much hate it's unbelievable and he's just a fictional character. I will say that GG is doing better with the entertainment factor, yes there are still loopholes but finally chuck is going to fight for blair, shouldn't that make you happy chair fans?
I'm enjoying the dair ride - thank god, something to spruce the show back to life.

Normally I would agree with those saying that couples don't affect the ratings and that they have been on a steady decline, but to see the numbers go from 1.01 to 800,000 during the actual episode? That says something. I am terrible at math but isn't that a fourth of the audience? I stopped watching the show after last years season finale. It was pretty obvious that they were planning on re-writing history with Dan's book. Completely ruining his character and credibility in the process. And, in my opinion, that of the show as well. When I saw the ratings number I had to come back here and see the fans response. Pretty much what I expected. With that being said, I think the Dair fans are fine. Josh lurves Dan, and I don't think they care about the ratings.

Chuck seducing Alessandra to screw over Dan - a little bit of everything. Cruel in a typical Bass way, which made it entertaining. Justified, if you consider jealousy to be a justifying factor. But unfortunately, most of all, it was pathetic. Are we still 17 years old? Even Serena could accept the fact that Dair is going to happen and move herself out of the way. Honestly, Chuck, if you can't deny yourself pure pleasure of revenge, aim higher than THAT. Btw, Blair did want you to wait for her. I hardly think doing nasty stuff with Alessandra qualifies as "waiting".
Hardest to believe - Dan all the way. Dude! It's like the first and most sacred rule of the universe, ever since they've invented computers. Always. Have. Copy. If my computer blows up right this moment, I won't lose a single file, I have copies of everything important in three other places.
Will Hurricane Georgina live up to that nickname? Not a chance in hell.
Favourite quote - "Humphrey… how can this happen?". Yeah, we are all asking the same question. But honestly, I don't see Dair as just another thing to keep Chair apart. Dair is a real deal, it always was. It slowly grew up to this point. This scene - the two of them standing there, holding hands and finally saying out loud what everyone else knew months ago - made me sure that bringing them together is a good idea. Because the weirdest thing about this couple (and I'm saying this as a huge Chair fan) is that they really fit together.
Is Dan winning? He certainly won this round. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have better things to do". Snap. Did you see that coming, Bass?
I didn't like the real Charlie at first, but now she's growing on me. And I feel bad for her, having a psycho for a mother can't be easy. I loved the moment when she was telling Dan about the fight over who was going to play Clair and she won. Yeah, everyone wants to play that role.

@ms.m It's Gossip Girl, it's not complex, it can easily be wrapped up at any time, the problems are so contrived that it shouldn't have happened in the 1st place.
It's the CW's choice if they want to continue to decline as a network.
@cb The big networks, that are much more successful than the CW care, they also care about demos too and Gossip Girl has also sucked in that. There's a reason why the other networks don't follow the CW's example, that's why they're network is a complete joke and they deserve to continue to fail like they have been ever since they started.
@christine Then stop watching and drop the show altogether, the show runners/writers don't care if they piss everyone off at the end because the CW lets them get away with anything because of all the years of blatant favoritism on the network.

I just love it, its great, its best and I do still pray that it will be Dair till the bitter end of this great serial. Blair.... how can ppl hate her?
