whatever plotline gives dan and blair their chemistry back is completely fine with me. I dont even need them to be together, I just want what was so apparent in season 4, that tension which made them so great; this season when they fight or make confessions it's somehow not the same. maybe they've become too close to really date, such a shame...

@pty Don't insult apes, apes are clearly more intelligent than any of these writers.
@GtotheG Maybe Blair was heated up by the vows he wrote when he peered into her soul.
@dmkb Actually he only disliked Chuck until recently when they were friends for a little bit, he had a bit of bromance for Nate.
@Dr. Holland Why did they even pursuit it in the 1st place? The royal storyline in Season 2 wasn't even that good, this is just even worse.

If Cece knew that Charlie/Ivy was a fake, then it would be her ultimate joke, which kinda goes along of how Cece's character has been all along. Whether she left her fortune to someone unexpected, it's impossible to tell at this point. If she left out Lily and Serena, it would be kinda mean, because I don't feel there was really bad blood between them and Cece in the last seasons. I do wonder how the Apes (because telling the writers Monkeys is insulting to Monkey Bass) are going to justify Eric's abscense. Connor Paolo did knew what he was doing when he severed ties with this show. Not that our great regular cast memmbers had any choices on the matter, what with the 6 years contract, which should be great for us fans but I think right now many of us feels that it sucks for the cast.
Like some have said here, Chuck and Georgina, perhaps more the latter, probably ruin the loophole thing (not that it made much sense to begin with) and that brings Dair closer.

When I see them together it´s like they´re 14 years old. "I don't have feelings for you", "I hate you", "I need a friend" "we didn´t kiss", "I don´t love you like that..." "I got feelings for you!"
They´re over 20, come on!! I don´t think that is sexy. And when they kiss it´s all awkward and weird! Like they´re playing trues or dares with a gang and have to kiss each other, but don't want to.
NOTHING is sexy about that. Dan doesn't care about what´s sexy? Just give him a book of poetry, that will heat him up.

To the lawyer girl that first posted on this article: I feel your pain sista, I mean if what we saw in the sneak peak would actually be pausible then no marriage, prenup or anything related could ever be recognized outside the country where the legal documents were signed. I know this is supposed to be hightened reality but there is heightened reality and plain dumb insulting writting and skewing of reality.
Predictions: William will turn out to be Charlie/Lola's father, or maybe in a mild scenario, his relative only mentioned once, Keith VDW is her father. Somebody said here maybe Carol isn't a Rhodes because she doesn't look like the others, but if you remember 2x24 Andrew McCarthy played Richard Rhodes who is Carol and Lily's father and Cece's ex, and he's a brunette, so who knows, logically there is a small chance Carol is adopted but following the consistent crazy writing chances for her being adopted increases.

well if the producers are looking at the forums and getting episode ideas then something is wrong. The writing sucks and I agree bring back the scandel, sex and omfg od season 1 and 2 and put the couples back mainly blair and chuck, dan and serena. I have been watching the other seasons and 1 and 2 were better and Dan hated people like nate, chuck and dan. I think thats what made the show great the struggle of the muppet and his family to break through the UES, high school and chuck and blair. The stories are moving too far away from what made the show great. So im no complaining or bagging the writers but pleading please go back to what made the show great.

@GossipGirlFan13 last year the season finale was May 16? somewhere around there. they have 7 episodes left after The Princess Dowry. if we're looking at another mid May season finale then the entire month of March will be reruns. and they'll start airing all new episodes first week of April through mid-May.
maybe Mr. VDW isn't Serena's real dad? OR he will be the trustee everyone has to go through to get money? Cece used to control the fortune so it makes sense it would be someone else's job now. i'm puzzled about his involvement. but Cece liked him better than Rufus...so there's that.

sidenote: i'm sure everyone remembers the OMFG campaign of S1-S2. that's what the majority of disgruntled fans say was the 'golden age' of GG bc it was good. it occurred to me that there was a lot more sex on the show back then. i think i'm remembering this right. they showed the actors/actresses getting naked w/ suggestive screen shots of steamy sex and passion. campy, yes. but that was part of the allure.
that type of heat needs to come back to GG. don't care if it's Georgina/her husband, Nate/Lola, Lily/Rufus...lets get some passion back on the show. SereNate in S3 and Chair piano sex in S4 type stuff needs to come back pronto regardless of ships.

The marriage thing is crap. Now they use the argument she's not married in Monaco. The church US marriage has no value in Monaco.

@Dairdreamer I would love for Vanessa and Jenny to be back. I saw on Twitter that someone asked something about Vanessa and they said she was in Barcelona...It just makes me think that her character is poised to come back at some point. So hopefully that'll be the case. I don't know about Jenny though...we might not be lucky enough for that.

@Dairdreamer How do you think Mr. VDW plays into all this? That's the part I can't figure out and don't have any theories on. He has to play more of a role than just being over the will or having the will...Which leads to another question...Why does he have it?

@GossipGirlFan13 i had the same thoughts. the writers wouldn't build up this dowry/prenup obstacle only to have it resolved 3 episodes later. and also, if Blair gets out of her marriage, there are no more obstacles for Dair. that would be too easy. i've watched GG from day 1 and the obstacles for couples just keep on coming. good thing Dair has lots of internal drama even if all the external stuff gets resolved...Serena, Chuck, and my biggest wish-Jenny/Vanessa come back next season to stop Dan from proposing to Blair. ha! i can just see them hatching schemes to make sure it doesn't happen.
back to the preview---i do think there's much more to the Cece/Ivy/VDW/Rhodes stuff. not even gonna try to figure it out. just hoping it'll be something that will truly surprise me.

@Dairdreamer I thought paternity too, lol...but didn't dare say it because in my mind I was like, "No way." and couldn't figure out who it could be other than Carol. I just don't know if (it being Carol) that's as huge as what I'm anticipating. I also hope that I'm not let down. Then I thought what if it's something about Serena or her brother not being Lily's or Lily not being CeCe's. I hope whatever it is...that it's good. Lack of real drama on the show has been no fun. And I didn't mention before but I'm actually anxious to see where exactly the writers are taking Dair. Of course I'd like Chair as endgame but I just find the aspect of Blair and Dan together fascinating on many different levels. I'm shocked the writers have went there but kind of in a good way. It's something I've anticipated since last season but I don't know they are fun to watch together in some aspects. I'm with you on your opinions about Chuck and WHERE IS NATE?
