I was glad to see they got rid of heejun, he wasn't stepping up he blew it the week before with his funny side..which didn't bowl me over..I hope the next one to go is Skylar i can't stand her and her country twang..she is to over compatant she needs to slow down shes not going to a horse race...she suckd.

@Not Rude Steve :) -- I agree with you that it'd be nice to know exactly how many votes each contestant received so that those of us who are pulling for a certain contestant can see exactly where s/he is ranking in the competition. It would be a great "new" thing to add. I don't even know that results like that would have to be posted until the night of the results show. Seeing that a performer like Phillip received less votes than DeAndre would surely get people voting. Of course that scenario about Phillip and DeAndre is hypothetical because if I saw that, I'd know for sure that America had lost its mind completely.
As for Phillip, yes, his songs sound the same, and yes, he, like Skylar, needs to show a different side to himself. He can pick the Bluesy, classic rock numbers and slow them down a bit and still be true to himself. But I'll love him even if he doesn't.

@swannie--Overconfidence IS a problem. Yes, Jessica's a good singer. She has talent. However, she doesn't have as much talent as she thinks she has for her age and that's where her overconfidence comes out. She's very talent-show/pageanty in the same vein as Brielle Von Hugel and that won't make her a star. She shows no humility and that's off-putting.

@Terrie--I think you're right. The judges can only use the save up until a certain point in the competition. I think they're saving it for something like what could've happened last night. With Skylar in the bottom three, it could've been her. I think they would've saved her.
I do think Skylar needs to change it up a bit. I have no problem with her singing country, or taking a pop song and making it country. She's clearly a country artist. But she needs to show more range within that genre. Country can be slow, too.

Having said all of this... why doesn't AI post the final vote tallies each week? There is currently no way to know if your favourite is in jeopardy of being on the brink of the bottom 3 or not. Maybe they are afraid to disclose craziness like the possibility that DeAndre had the most votes last night? In any case, I think it would add to the show and possibly make it better... comments?

I listened to all of them again on YouTube before the results show... My opinion is America did not vote correctly, with the exception of Heejun... it WAS his time, even though he really impressed me on Wednesday night and even more so last night. The vote should be for what happened the night before with some factor of previous performances (I hope!), plus tangibles and intangibles that keep coming up here (looks, cuteness, story, connection, memorable, yadda-yadda). Skylar and Hollie in the bottom 3? Wow. Who knows what Jessica is really thinking, but I have to agree it's apparent to me that she is carrying herself as someone who’s looking quite overconfident... almost a diva. Yes, she can sing, but there's somehting that is stopping me from liking her and maybe that's why. I really like Phil a lot, but his songs are starting to sound the same... but he is still top 3-4 for me. I'd put DeAndre’s voice and ability below Skylar, and especially below Hollie for SURE. Yeah, you're too hard on Jessica. Just listen to the studio performance of her last night "Sweet Dreams", that could totally be a hit if it's not on Idol. Overconfidence? People have been complaining her 'surprised-the-judges-like-me" attitude and you're saying she's overconfident?
Meh, Jessica is the best singer without doubt but at this rate, minus Deandre, everyone actually have a shot at coming out number one.

I don't think Jessica Sanches is over confident. She just knows that she works so hard and so she feels good about herself and it comes out. There's nothing wrong with that. It's strange that you don't think Skylar is over confident too, or is it a matter of putting someone in their place?

Not surprised about Skylar. Her voice isn't there for the quality of competition in the match. America called it right and next week needs to be more about flexibility in the range of song delivery than skill in one specific type of delivery ie. country. I feel that Skylar is vulnerable.

YES I was shocked Skylar was in the bottom three!!!!!
I was more shocked Deandre WASN'T!!!!!!!! I really thought he'd go home.
I guess all his hair flipping is doing something for all the teen age girls calling a billion times on their cell phones.............
I wholeheartedly agree with you that it was time for HeeJun's journey to end. From the look on JLo's face I thought for sure the judges were going to save him. If I'm correct I think they said the judges can only use that save till they get to the top five.
Right now my top ones are still Colton, Jessica and Phillip. If Elise keeps on the path she did last night, She will be one of my picks too. I suspect she will do well with 80's week next week.
