I don't usually agree with everything you say (we all have our own opinions) but this review is spot on. The Jake thing was random but so sweet, showing a bit of his life away from the practice was a good idea. The whole Amelia panic about her use of drugs when she got pregnant and the cute scene with Addie was perfection. Violet was so annoying and I was shocked the the BF ended up being the mature one (dont know how she manages to work with all the drama in her life that she has caused). I felt Sam and his storyline was a bit strange, mainly because his sisters history wasnt as well developed as i would have liked. The whole char/coop storyline had me in tears. hen mason cried, i cried and when I saw both Charlotte and Cooper crying I had to pause the show because my vision went blurry. Great Episode overall.
Oh man; I hate that! I typed my comments right after watching the show and they end up being in the preview instead of the "review!" lol! Of course i was so emotional right after the show - I can actually see the screen a lot better today anyway! Cried and cried like a baby with the Erica/Mason scene. '( Mason saying "I'll be a good boy" and holding back tears so not to upset Erica and then Erica calling out the door repeating "I love you!".. oh started sobbing! Charlotte was SOO good with Mason and actually with the whole situation. I have really started to like her now. B4 I thought she was kind of a bit*&! How awkward was that with Violet,Scott and Pete! It took Scott to actually figure it out for her! The scene with Sam/Corinne was also pretty sad. The whole helplessness is overwhelming when someone as a mental disease like that, for both the patient and family. (I am a Psych. R.N.) Did anyone see the behind the scenes pictures of them two? I swear it looks like the actress who

Ok, once again the part that made me cry like a baby was Charlotte with Mason. It seems that she is the best thing on the show right now. I dont know if you guys notice but some editing cut the scene where Charlotte put some make up on Erica (to make her look better for Mason), these particular scene was on the promotional pictures of the episode. Too bad because we missed some more Charlotte time.

VAS was high tonight. I don't know whether it's the character or the actor. One way or another she is annoying.
I love Charlotte. She's great with Mason and I'm glad Erica will be gone. I was beginning to think she would try to snag Coop and we would have to put up with all of the jealousy, etc. The storyline with Addison and Sam is getting old and boring. Jake is much more exciting and he seems a better fit for Addison. (I read a repot that said a call went out for biracial twins. Hope that doesn't happen.) They'll have a whole new direction with the druggie baby and it will take away from the adults.

For goodness sakes -- hasn't anyone had kids and made snacks for them? Amelia was making what is called "Ants on a Log". Spread Cheez Whiz or cheese-from-a-can down a celery stick, dot with raisins. Not as gross as one would think (if you can get past all that processed cheese stuff).

I think the reviewer was being charitable on the VAS, because this episode put Violet on at 8.5 VAS for me. I can hardly stand her character when she is interacting with Pete and her son, but when she's using that nice young EMT as a sexual dalliance until Pete comes around to give her another chance, that's where the storyline leaves me cold, as Violet roams into crazytown. For a psychiatrist, she sure doesn't have herself together mentally/emotionally at all.
And I thought the storyline with Mason and Erica was heartbreaking, beautiful and painful all at once. I had to get out the tissues at the end there.
As far as Amelia and cravings, I had some very strange cravings when I was pregnant, usually things that were sweet and salty or sweet and slightly sour at the same time, so for example I wanted watermelon but with salt on it, or a ham sandwich with apricot jam on it, or grilled cheese with pancake syrup on it. I think since she was doing so many drugs when the baby was concieved

They DID discuss the possible problems for Amelia's pregnancy in both this episode and last episode. It was, in fact, one of the reasons she felt adoption wasn't an option.

I gotta ask. Am I the only one ticked off with Erica's storyline? I didn't like her character at first either and I was secretly hoping that Mason wasn't Cooper's son. However, while this sort of thing does happen to people in real life, it's frustrating that she'd get the successful surgery only to get another death sentence. I was getting used to her living and being around, darn it! I love Jake. Always did. I was mad at Addison when she went back to Sam. The pregnancy craving thing is so overplayed in Hollywood. Me nor either of my friends/family had those types of cravings when we were pregnant. I may have craved something specific like fried oysters or ice cream or a Big Mac, but I didn't want to smash them together to eat them at the same time. Sure, some women may sit up and have these types of cravings, but I've never met one.

When Amelia conceived, she and her boyfriend were on drugs. In a medical soap, it is astounding that not one physician has expressed concern. It seems likely that the storyline will completely ignore the possible ramifications of a pregnancy begun (and, however briefly, continued) with heavy doses of drugs.

@Jenn - Erica was experiencing severe abdominal pains. Multiple tumors were found including on her GI tract and liver, giving her only a week to live.

As upsettingthtnit was, I've never really liked Erica, so it won't really haunt me. I do, however, feel bad for Mason. I know that Charlotte and Cooper can provide a stable home for him, but it's going to be an interesting way to show us.
I love Jake even more now. Honestly, the guy is great and I just want him and Addison together already.
I'm really feeling for Amelia. I'm glad she told Addie though. Missing these two.
Wish Sheldon would get a goddamn storyline!
Sam, Pete, Violet and Corrine are a snoozefest.

Just curious...I missed the most poignant line of the night and can't find it anywhere!! What did they say is wrong with Erica & why after doing this big successful surgery is she dying??

Wow. They weren't kidding when they hinted that this would be an emotional episode. Heartbreaking emotions were just all over the place! I have to give it once again to Charlotte, Cooper, Erica, and Mason. Their arc is ending in such a strong and powerful way. Seeing Mason say goodbye to Erica was so hard and I couldn't even control myself anymore when he ran to Charlotte. And Cooper was great too. I get that he didn't have much material since Paul directed the episode but this whole thing was just done so well.
Sam and Corrine's storyline was really gripping too. I think what was so great about this episode is how it more or less concluded two very emotional arcs for the characters.
I'm still not so sold on Amelia's pregnancy. It just doesn't seem to really fit. And I am definitely on board with Jake and Addison! I liked that we got to see more on Jake this week.

Great show! Poor Mason. My heart was breaking for both of them. I too wish Addison and Jake would get together or move on! Yes he seems to have promise and she deserves it. Job well done! Now let's see more shows and less re-runs!! Please.
