Yes and Blair needs a man who hasn't tried to rape two girls in this show, has tried to sell her for his hotel and has continuously been manipulating her. My God, I can't believe Blair is called the whore. She is no Saint but every character on this show has been linked to at least two others romantically. Blair is no different than Serena, or Dan but at least, she hasn't tried to rape anybody in the past.

Okay I'm so Pro Chuck!!! He needs to get over Blair so disgusted with her right now. She's pathetic and has been last couple of episodes. I was a BIG CHAIR fan but over it. the awesome: Blair referencing the Hotel trade. a lot of people are saying Chuck is cleaning up Blair's mess b/c she herself got caught 'cheating' so the dowry stuff was her mistake. Chuck posting the picture on Gossip Girl wasn't wrong. I see Chuck paying off Blair's dowry as making amends for the hotel trade. That's why the writers had Blair mention it. Chuck did something awful in S3. And now he did something wonderful in S5. Both things are in the same level of significance. And yes, I do thing they cancel each other out.
and of course Dair the entire episode. at breakfast, at the party, and at the MET steps. overall both fan bases had some good moments. Chair had maturity/growth and Dair had understanding/patience

Call me crazy but this was the most DECENT episode we had in a LONG time. Apart from the Dair pairing (obviously), everything else felt like a Gossip Girl episode. And call me crazy again but I actually appreciated Serena's bitchy side in tonight's episode. Serena has been the most used up character since season 2....the writers never gave her proper story lines or a proper boyfriend...she has been miss sweet and nice for too long and it's time that she changed herself up a bit and show a more bitchier side. It def. made her more interesting to watch in my opinion. She's always been the it girl and she realized that since she doesn't have anything else in her life....her 'it girl' status is the only thing she has left so she didn't want to let go of that. I think it was smart, even if the writers did make her look like bi-polar.
In the end, I still think it will be Chair and Darena together in the final episode. Until then, we all should appreciate the show's existence and enjoy the

the good: Lily/Rufus drama. this could've happened when it came out that Lily set Ben up to go to jail just so Serena would get to go to Constance...never understood how Rufus was OK with that one. Lola/Nate teaming up. I didn't see that coming. On a show that hardly surprises me anymore it was great to be caught off guard.
the bad: Diane's return is snoozeworthy. her being Nola/Nate angst seems like filler material until it's revealed she's Chuck's mom. Serena being an out and out hypocrite by using Lola then turning around and being upset that Lola used her is reason #...i've lost count why it's hard to feel sorry for S. STOP playing the victim already!

Speaking of wanting things from the good seasons back.... um nate and blair? They were good? Even blair as a single, snarky less emotional and sensitive blair. Dans made her as gross as vanessa. The writers really started screwing everything up in season 3 in my opinion(except the screwed dand and serena up season 2 with the whole on off on off..dan fucked the teacher) when they could have had a lot of good writing and storyline and continued filming a lot in constance st judes with jenny and eric and their high school life and graduation.... but they overlooked like all those storylines and didnt complete them.... also...can we stop pretending serena vanderwoodseen would ever have a job...shes a socialite...all she would do is party and attend events and start a perfume line or something...shed be friends with the kardashians... they also could have kept the story interesting with keeping all the students in college and having their be sororites and frats and stuff...stupid writers

No that didn't feel like closure to me. Chuck is still going to be lingering around and Blair will most likely keep going back and forth..so ridiculous.. How can anyone not feel indebted with someone that spent millions on her..? Not necessarly in a romantic way but they will always have to many strings attached to ever be over.

What keeps me watching? The old Gossip Girl that I used to love, and the hope that there will be a season 6 to redeem season 4-5 and at least end the series properly. Even if the show sucks now, I wouldn't let the fanbase down by not watching it. Least favorite: every moment between Dan and Blair. I still can't accept this couple, it feels like the writers are playing a joke on the true fans of Gossip Girl. Favorite part: JUST Chuck, because Blair was such a bitch to him. But I am and forever will be a Chair fan, and will keep waiting for the day Blair/the writers wake up from their coma and fix the mess they made. :)

Thanks goodness lily and rufus broke up. They are horrible together. She turned him into a trophy wife... he doesnt do anyhing useful. I miss first and second season rufus who had his own storylines and hobbies and interests... i feel he would have never moved to the uppereast side... and is lily that stuck up? What happened to the lily who smoked weed with rufus in seasons two i think...who was a groupie, and who liked dirty concert places, and knew how to kick back and have fun. ... rufus must have been real disappointed when he got married.

Let me just remind everyone that this is a show, the story is the story, and there is no such thing as characters doing out of character things because that is what is fricking happening. You can't read the fifth or whatever book and say, nah, that's not what's supposed to happen. Because you're not the damn author.
Gossip Girl's views went down from over 3 million per episode to under 2 million per episode when chuck and blair ended up together.... so just enjoy the ride. If you don't like the characters, the great drama and the humor then you're not a true fan; just the casual fancy.
I KNOW this season isn't great. I know the first 2 seasons were stellar. But if you TRY to love the show, you will. Simple as that.

Thank god I hope Lily and Rufus get divorced and then Rufus takes Dan and goes back to Hudson or wherever they come from. I hate Rufus he is so annoying and gives really shitty advice imo.

THIS episode was amazing....Any Dair shippers feel closure (finally) for Chair. Sending a texto to Chuck for the billions he put in for Blair was the very best way to tell him : Thank you....for setting me free....from my marriage, but really...from yoU!

I didn't think it was possible to hate Blair character even more but tonight she was a rude, cold, and conciented (thinkng chuck was trying to buy her back pleaase!) witch. I would be even more mad if they put her back w chuck..he needs to move on and not even give her a second look. The writers need to Stop stringing along both ships!

I've resorted back to season 1 when things made sense, and the characters actually knew who they were

And what's the point of the writers to keep linking chuck and Blair together like him paying her dowry?!! Why it's not Like chair will happen..yawn!!

What keeps me watching? that was really a question i asked myself throughout this whole episode and the better part of this Season. as i texted my friend who was once a huge fan but has given up hope on this sinking ship i ranted the whole episode. they are breaking up the shows only stable couple. horrible move. the only thing i can hope is that this may open up a Serena dan reunion to get him away from b. speaking of the former princess of monaco and queen of the ues they need to start writing her obit cuz they have officially murdered her character. how heartless was she when chuck came to her for advice. i literally gawked at the tv because i don't know who this new blair is but she is not the blair i've come to love over the years. chuck may be an expert manipulator but it was not hard to see his genuine desperation over the situation. its people treating him like this that perpetuates the never ending relapse cycle. how can he become a better man if no one will let him.
Good God this has become unwatchable. Good riddance GG. I hope the final season can at least redeem these awful past few seasons.

t are so awkward and forced. I don't even trust a word Blair says anymore. When someone says the things Blair said to Chuck, they shouldn't just change their mind for no reason. I will never trust what Blair says ever again which is a dangerous thing for a writer to do. I wish I could go on about how the writers are ruining Gossip girl and the characters and that it seems like they don't watch their previous episodes but I'm not.

So many holes in the story lines, not only with the plots but also with the characters. First of all, Nate not being able to anything with the video of Diana due to him spreading pornography of minors is stupid. Why with this world does every piece of gossip need to be sent to a gossip site? He easily could have just taken it to the police... Honestly, Serena may be confused but unfortunately I think her character's actions are the only ones that make sense. I mean why would Nate tell Dan something Chuck told him not tell anyone!? Who does ur loyalty lie with nate?!?! Also, Blair... don't get me started.. The writers are sure making me dislike her. A day ago she got Chuck's hopes up that she would love him forever and each day she loves him more and now she won't even let him to talk to her. Even without him paying the dowry I think she owes him at least that. She is honestly now meek and feeble, nothing like the B I came to like so long ago. I am sorry Dair fans, but Dan and Blair jus
