I don't think Cristina will fail. I think Shonda is showing that Vintage Cristina is back. Crowen will have a devil of a time getting back together if she fails because of the state of their marriage and it will drag this out too much longer. I still think it's gonna be Avery. Grandpa will have a cow. Or maybe Mer fails and she has to stay in Seattle longer. Mark in the cafe w/Avery by the ear was hilarious! I don't feel sorry for Webber. It may be sad but it sure is ironic that Ellis didn't remember anyone consistently but him and now he's trying to make it up to Adele and she doesn't remember him. Karma's a bitch. Cristina will seemingly commit to somewhere far away, but when the new season starts up, she'll decide she wants to stay at SGMWH and she and Owen will reunite. Then Shonda's going to screw us all up again and let that silly woman that he cheated with end up pregnant. Then maybe she'll die and Cristina will agree to raise the baby with Owen after all. God I hope not!!!

if it is yang.. could she have failed on purpose to give her a reason to stick around seattle... she looked like she wanted owen to tell her to stay... in the entire episode she looked like she wanted a reason to stay

I loved Meredith, Cristina and Alex's discussion of Toledo and "Canada." LOL. I also loved Alex and Arizona's scenes. He needs to stay at Seattle Grace. Peads Dream Team all the way.
LOL at everyone telling April not to be herself. Now, if she could just fail the boards and be not herself somewhere else, that would be ever better.

I think everyone wanting Christina is the big hint she is one who fails her boards... this might keep her around for another year at least....
Plus, Christina has had a rough year also so maybe she wasn't on her game but as a doctor she was always talented and always one of the best.. even on a not so good day she would have been able to pass her boards...

Somebody asked why Meredith would want to move to Boston...she grew up there. Her mom took her there after Ellis left Thatcher. Also, Derek's family is somewhere on the East Coast (not sure where ) so they would be close to his mom and most of his family. Makes sense.
Not sure why the person said they couldn't take Zola across country, I thought she was adopted already.
Love Alex and how he realized that Arizona was sending him to crappy places so he'd stay at SGHMW. Thought the comment about Toledo being in Canada was hilarious (if you lived in Ohio as I do, you'd understand.)
I liked the arc with the hostage victim, the young lady who played the part was really good.
I've enjoyed the past few episodes but wish I knew that Ellen and Patrick were returning. Honestly it wouldn't be the same.
Total side note: does anyone else think that Eric Dane is looking WAY too thin these days? Is he sick?

I love the show. I stream all my TVs so i am able to watch them over and over again. as I watched “The Girl With No Name" it came to me which will leave the show in season 9 and who will stay. they cant take Grey and Derek out it will ruin the whole show. I know ppl come and ppl go in shows but their 2 very important as well as many others. i am so addicted to this show for the first episode and i hope it keeps going. as i watched Richard see this going on with his wife, it brought tears to my eyes and I hope I never have to go thru this or see a loved one have Alzheimer's. I so hope that yang and Owen work things out in season 9 cause they were so great together. It would be great if they could somehow bring George back into the show, even for a little while. I have watched this for so many yrs and they have all become like family to me. by the way Vanessa Marano (Bay from Switched at birth) you done a great job girl and Shondra your a wonderful writer and doing a spin off from this

I would have felt more sad about Adele's storyline had it not ALREADY HAPPENED ON THE SHOW. They had two Alzheimer's patients who fell in love with each other despite their spouses' disapproval on this show.
Grey's Anatomy keeps treading the same waters with the same formulas. Look how Izzie's dead fiancée became Teddy's dead husband. It's the same thing over and over. For the people who don't remember a single thing of the past episodes than I bet you enjoy this re-run dribble. But I feel like I'm watching a bad remake.
BE ORIGINAL.

And Richard and Adele's arc is so heartbreaking, reminded me of this trial patient who was in love with another Alzheimer patient, in front of his wife. So horrible to see that the person u know is disappearing and that u don't count for him/her. I hope Richard is gonna get some happiness soon, he deserves a break from all the pain.

I loved the medical case, I will never say it enough : it is so good to take some time to get to know the patient, the emotional background etc. That's what we had in first seasons and what made Grey be a good drama show. We need more of these !
So good as well to take a break from Owen/Cristina's breakup/drama/shit. FINALLY !
About the interviews at other hospitals, I am curious about Cristina. It's not really strange that they all want her, but I wonder what Shonda has in mind, is it to prepare us in case Sandra Oh would be leaving or is it to make sure that Owen is gonna fight for Cristina to stay ?
Btw, so cute to see Arizona wants to keep Alex, I love their relationship !

The victim/patient storyline of this episode was inappropriately handled. For such a traumatic child sexual abuse situation to be tossed off as merely a backdrop for the usual Grey drama (and resident snarkiness) just left me feeling like I'd been slimed. The scenario should have been treated with more respect, or simply not been used at all.
That said -- I'm still rooting for Cristina and Owen to save their marriage! I find it extremely short-sighted to condemn Owen's one-night stand without equally taking into consideration Cristina's soul-killing refusal to even discuss the abortion decision. I am pro-choice, but Cristina's refusal to treat her husband with the same respect she demanded was, to me, a FAR more toxic action than Owen's drunken one-night stand. As far as I'm concerned, BOTH Cristina and Owen have cheated on their marriage, and Cristina's choice wasn't impulsive or influenced by alcohol.
AMAZING EPISODE. i had tears in my eyes throughout!

Great episode. Not sure Holly will ever get closure, but her kidnapper was arrested. Owen told Cristina that at their house.

I thought I read some time ago that Patrick Dempsey was leaving after this series, so I suppose if that is true maybe Meredith will be written out by going to another hospital and he will move with her.

As I saw the residents interviewing at different hospitals, I realized I didn't want any of them to leave...except April. I'm not super attached to her character. I loved Cristina Yang getting a chance to be Cristina Yang. She was slightly awkward and completely arrogant - which is what I've always loved about her! Aside from Avery's major eye candy appeal, it would be great to see him stay and excel as a doctor, as I've always felt that his character shows incredible talent and ability only to have the writers show him screwing something up the next episode.
I love Owen Hunt. Kevin McKidd is doing a great job of portraying a man who's in love with Cristina Yang. Their scenes are the perfect mix of awkwardness/pain/love, so it'll be interesting to see whether they can ever get back to their marriage. And it's nice to see that Cristina is keeping their issues private and not letting it affect her professionalism. That's why I wasn't too upset with Own telling off Teddy. No

Best scene of the night: Owen telling Teddy off! She deserved it and the timing was perfect.
Worst scene of the night: Anything with Richard and Adele...I'm sure Dr. Webber understands the toll Alzheimers takes. Husband Richard must be devastated.
Who needs to go: April!! So annoying! Jackson could go...plastics doesn't really steal too many interesting cases...not for 2 docs. Although, Mark could go...would miss him NOT AT ALL! Webber could retire. Teddy could start over somewhere else for certain. I really like Alex...among the few who do, but he needs some positive energy to come his way. He's good and he DID NOT back stab Meredith! She was dead wrong! I truly doubt that Mer/Der could go across country with Zola at this time....in reality, that is!
This was a great episode.
It is interesting seeing where the fab five (that is what I will call them instead of writing all their names) might go.
Best like of the night was from Alex "So I am stinky cheese". I like Blue Cheese so I guess that means I like Alex...LOL
I feel bad for Webber, seeing Adele in love with another man was just heartbreaking!
It is nice to see Owen and Christian interact and not be fighting! I loved when Owen put Teddy in her place. She made it clear weeks ago that she never wanted Owen to talk to her again unless it was work related and then she expected him to help make Christina stay.
So as of now it looks like fab five want to leave Seattle so it will be interesting to see the reasoning for everyone staying (if they all resign their contracts).

i liked this ep, more than i did the previous, but i soooo called it that Bailey's son disappearance was a false alarm, that is perhaps the only part that i didn't like because it felt like forced drama. i feel like the victim and the main case was a little lightly developed, it should have been more dramatic and the atmosphere should have been more tragic. it felt too Hallmarky

I thought the medical case for the week was good. It was heavy and it was played out very well. And the way Bailey reacted to it was very complementary to the situation and how horrific something like that can be.
Adele and Alan - oh my. That was sad to watch. I just felt the Chief's (Richard will always be the Chief to me) heart break more in every scene.
I'm pretty sure that Owen and Cristina will eventually make up because Shonda really believes in them but I hope it doesn't happen so easily and so soon. It just wouldn't feel right. And I hated the way he told Teddy off like that. It was mean.
As for the all the interviews, I feel like Cristina might just be the one to fail her boards just so there's some irony next to all the courting she received today. I think that some of the residents need to leave and I'm hoping it'll be either Kepner or Avery. Of course I want the original cast members to stay but at the same time, they're giving these characters an easy out by givi

This was not a very good episode. No hospital would let that traumatized victim leave with her parents unless she was in better condition. Please, no more Owen. I'm sick of him. He took up the majority of the episode. And the Webber story line was not believable. My mother had Alzheimer’s and Adelle would have forgotten her boyfriend as well as Richard and the boyfriend would have forgotten Adelle. And Patrick, he was in very few scenes that lasted about a minute. Gee, I wonder why he's not staying or maybe staying with limited scenes for next season. Gee, they really gave him an incentive to stay.

if i could like vanessa marano, i would. but her character's presence on gilmore girls ruined that show and i've yet to forgive...even if it had nothing to do with her. oh, cristina-already starting to look weak again. i miss kickass cristina and owen-you suck and you'll never redeem yourself to me. but i never liked you, so that's not saying much. teddy's starting to be a real character again. good. apparently callie and arizona never spend any time with their child, ever. so i guess arizona really did get her way. missed those two tonight. and likely will next week too. don't really like that they made arizona manipulative-that's not her way. but the sentiment was cute. can't wait to see what they're going to be doing with april in the next episode! she's never really been on my radar but since she's apparently suffering a complete character overhaul, it'll be interesting to see what they do with her. richard's going to get his sex on next week!

I've been a "Switched at Birth" fan since the show was first aired. Bay (Vanessa Marano) could play a potato chip with conviction and believability. She's fascinating and has a raw and natural talent that can't be taught. That being said, it's no surprise to me that she portrayed Hollie Wheeler so convincingly.
