Once Upon a Time Preview: An Apple a Day...

... will NOT keep the doctor away, not when that apple is being offered by the Evil Queen to Snow White.

Indeed, after revealing the identity of August to Once Upon a Time viewers last night, the ABC series will turn its storytelling attention next Sunday to the most iconic scene known to fans of the classic Snow White fairy tale.

This photo of the Queen and Snow should give you a clear idea of what we mean.

Elsewhere, in the real world, look for Henry to urge with Emma to stay in Storybrooke, while Regina comes up with a plan to do away with her for good. Watch the official network preview now for the aptly-titled "An Apple Red as Blood."

Heart certainly fits. Daniel IS regina's "heart" who died, in regina's mind, because of Snow. As for place, the previous promo for the final 4 episodes had Regina outright standing there with an apple saying that Charming is doomed or something like that. Its more than likely that regina somehow talks Snow into taking that apple. Snow is not as stupid as teh fairytale version to just take a random apple from a granny and Regina is far more manipulative than that. Its more than likely something like Regina offering to save charming in exchange of snow's life or something.

I disagree that the promo is proof of no disguise - it could easily be a magical disguise, that she lifts to reveal herself and revel in Snow's demise. And is that a grave? It could certainly be, I suppose, but there's also a heart on there, so I thought it might be a variant on Regina's receptacles for hearts.

There are so many ways that Snow might have taken that apple, from the classic disguise root, to Regina poisoning her orchards knowing Snow's stealing from her, to Snow consciously taking the poisoned apple to save Charming.
Well we know its NOT a disguise since in the very promo we see Queen talking to her with an apple in her hand. The place they are talking seems to have a gravestone, so I guess they are by Daniel's grave.

I like the idea of others in the town (esp Snow and/or Charming) waking up first though. And I read somewhere that David will redeem himself and be a hero, so that's interesting too. Though no indication in the promo of how he'll have that opportunity.

Okay here Regina tells snow that she's doing this for the secret little snow didn't keep. But in the pilot, or an early ep, they used the classic trope with Snow saying that she poisoned the apple because Snow was prettier - I hope the writers remember that and keep it consistent. There are so many ways that Snow might have taken that apple, from the classic disguise root, to Regina poisoning her orchards knowing Snow's stealing from her, to Snow consciously taking the poisoned apple to save Charming. Interesting theory, Bored Now. I think that would be an excellent way to go, though poor Henry - all that might prove to Emma is that he's allergic to apples or something. But the show does need forward momentum - I don't think it can sustain a full new season of Emma unbelieving and blinding groping her way through; plus August doesn't seem to have that long. So maybe there will be revelations. I like the idea of others in the town (esp Snow and/or Charming) waking up first though. And I read somewhere that David will redeem himself and be a hero, so that's interesting too. Though no indication in the promo of how he'll have that opportunity.

This looks awesome, awesome and AWESOME. as always. Really wondering on how Regina convinces Snow to take the apple. Guessing Regina tries to get an apple to Emma somehow and Henry ends up eating it to prove Emma about the curse.
