The Vampire Diaries to Spin Off Damon and Alaric
Get ready to spend a lot more time with Ric and The Dick this fall, Vampire Diaries fans.
In a stunning announcement, executive producer Julie Plec said this morning that Alaric Saltzman and Damon Salvatore will be featured in their very own spinoff for the 2012-2013 season, with The CW already green-lighting this concept into series, bypassing the pilot stage.
"The chemistry between these two cannot be denied," Plec said. "We feel like there's nothing left for either character to do in Mystic Falls, and the idea of Alaric and Damon opening up a supernatural detective agency somewhere in the Bayou was too enticing to pass up."
But what about Matt Davis landing a starring role on Cult? A smoke screen, Plec laughed, a way to "throw fans off the trail before this deal was finalized."
And what about Damon and Elena? Is there any chance she skips town with the man for whom she admitted last week she probably has feelings? Plec would not say.
Wow. Talk about a shocker, TVDers! What do you think of this spinoff idea? Before you sound off, we'd just like to say...

I was furious for a minute, thinking that this was an extremely cheap way to keep Stelena together. But I'm kinda too relieved to be mad.

Damon and Alaric may not be the best duo around each other but they're both helpful when it comes to big trouble happening around their side. I can't wait to see what will happen in the remaining 4 episodes of the season. =] =|

i know this might sound crazy but when vampire diaries run it`s cource you should concider making a new show with them two. don`t get me wrong i love the show and would hate to see it end but they all do in time and i`m just saying they would make a great spin off. Tj Featherstone
