*Facepalm* why do i still bother tuning into this show??It has become a caricature of itself. I cannot stand anyone on it anymore, except for Nate . I doubt there are worst written storylines and characters on TV.Il probably watch s6 because i do want to see how it all ends, but my goodness will i hate every minute of it!

OMG!!! FINALLY!!! I can't believe this i'm so happy!!! y replayed the last 2 minutes over and over! finally chuck and blair are back! the finale was so perfect... i mean... FINALLY!!!!!! can't stop saying FINALLY!! lily is a bitch by the way... and bart bass is a douche... poor serena, she's been bad and all that, but poor girl... GABE SAPORTA! HOT!!... dan, he's always been irrelevant... i don't know why is he even in the show, never liked him... and it is good that blair's fighting for chuck now, it was about time.. she acted like a whore... she needs to redeem... but im so happy she FINALLY admitted who she really loves :D

while this episode felt closer to the old GG we know and love, it was still a little bland by GG standards. i think they rushed a few too many plot points (lily and rufus suddenly divorced a few days after bart's resurrection? dan jumping at the chance to have sex with serena only an episode after asking blair to rome? blair running off to be with chuck?) to make it feel like a half-decent episode. this season felt a lot like a filler... and it amazes me that, just 20-odd episodes ago, blair was pregnant and just about married. all the episodes from around the episode 5 mark have felt rushed, clumsy and lacked fluidity of the usual GG. blair was married, divorced, with dan, then chuck so fast my head is still spinning.
personally, the biggest blunder they made was cutting the marriage plot off too fast. had it been drawn out, with a few more scenes, a few more awkward situations, it would have made the latter part of this season much better.
but for now, the real gravestone on Gossi

Did anyone else think that Dan was figure on CCTV that was Gossip Girl? That would so fit his obsession with them all and the diary pages were his way of humiliating blair when he realised that she was still in love with Blair and not him!!!
Season five was easily the least exciting season of Gossip Girl thus far. The acting and writing were horrendous this season. Blake Lively and Penn Badgley both look bored and would prefer to be filming movies and Leighton Meester (who I believe to be the most overrated actress on television) has been very bland. This show has dug a hole so deep that I don't think bringing Jenny and/or Eric back could save it or any other attempt could save it. I will not be tuning in next season. I don’t see the point anymore. I’ve wasted far too much time on this show.
Definitely wasn't a four star episode. This show is easily one of the worst on television now. The constant Blair and Chuck breaking up and getting back together has been sucked dry. Just have them get married already, I’m tired of all this.
No one is likable anymore with the exception of Nate. He’s grown up; he’s actually more mature than the older adults on the show. As for everyone else; Serena is still selfish and idiotic, Blair is still acting like a bitchy prom queen who changes her mind every five seconds, Dan (who was my favourite character up until this season) still rides his high horse and is unable to admit that he's almost as bad as the rest of them and I was excited with Chuck's "I don't want to be Mr. Blair Waldorf, I'm Chuck Bass" line but that was thrown back in my face at the end. As for Lily I hope Ivy takes everything away from her, she the biggest child on the show.

what more could i ask for? i really wanted chuck and blair officially back together but this is even better than that. I'm glad blair is now going to fight for him. for once, we have a storyline that makes sense and its so exciting!!! when blair said to her mum "i know what i want'' it was pretty obvious what was going on. and also when she turned up to the empire i was soooo happy :) i can't wait to see what happens!!! bring on season 6 i'm pumped.
and i really do feel bad for serena. she's really lost her way, its sad :(

What happened to this show? Season 1 and 2 were amazing and now it's quite frankly one of the worst hours of television. Once again, the back and forth with Chair is ever present, having to endure their nonsense for 5 seasons is nauseating and this finale was even worse. Just be together or don't, that's it plain and simple none of this "I'm not ready" shit because MANY are tired of that. This is why I download this crap show, CW doesn't deserve my ratings
And bombing Derena much? This show is so laughable bad- Ivy, Jenny, and Georgina need to team up and take down dumb ass Blair, crybaby Chuck, useless Nate, and waste of space Serena; also known as the NJBC (though they're hardly NON-Judgmental)

This is definitely not a 4/5 stars episode. It's probably the worst episode/finale of GG where nothing was explained and resolved. It's like it wasn't even part of everything that happened before. They mention the diary in one ep, bart in 2 ep and they chose to focus on that rather than fix everything else that happened in the season!? i just dont get it. I really dont get how they can ruin a show that fast and that bad. The season was on and off but i had faith that they'd resolve it somehow but this finale just proves how stupid the show is or has become. I don't see how it can go uphill without repeating all 5 seasons again...................
Just a pissed off fan who fell for this crap for way too long. Screw chair or dair at this point I just need a story that makes sense! ps. Chair fans don't be proud that was less than epic or anything really

It was very organic to me. I hope the writers keep this up for the final stretch. I was wierdly ecstatic that Lilly chose Bart lol. Rufus is too holier then thou, I always liked her and Bart together. What he did to chuck was harsh, but I think it allows Chair to meet as equals now, both staking everything together. Love B has her own company to run now! Hope they do the show justice in its final run and all the characters end up finding what they're looking for.

I finally able to watch it. Great episode!
I'm terribly sad about Serena though, drugs+promiscuity = old S. How can she redeem herself for Season 6.
I'm sad for Rufus, it's his fault anyway. Male ego.
I like this bad and angry Dan. I hope he will be like that all season. No Dair anymore please, thats just not working.
I'm happy for Chuck, Blair is all over him again.
I love Nate the most, even without much storyline. Him being there completes the show for me.
My suggestion for season 6, bring Jenny back as Waldorf Designs' designer.
Bring Eric as Gossip Girl for Season 6.
Bring Vanessa to be an ally to Serena.
Or let Kristen Bell be the real Gossip Girl.

I as a Chair fan am happy that Chuck is making Blair prove her love the guy has been trying all season to be the kind of person she deserves with no acknowledgment fro
Blair at all it's only fair she now fights for him.
However, I'm hoping the last season isn't too centred around these 2 but the gang overall ... Need to end this series with a UES bang and a chair that has them as equals xoxo
I agree with Dair fans on them not getting a proper closure. Blair's feelings and actions weren't in the least explained and i think she should have shared her choice with Dan when he confronted her.
Anyway...the truth is that i understand Dair fans completely... Everything they say, we've been saying for the past half season (Blair is a bitch, Blair's action are irrational, i'm not watching the show anymore). They have every right to say anything they want if they don't like what they see.
But that doesn't mean i'm not suuuuuper happy we're endgame!!! It's been 5 looong years. Bad decisions, timing and stupid guest stars kept our ship apart. But after all this time they've found their way back to each other for good. So..yeah...i'm feeling fanatstically (and if only the dair fans could find it in their hearts to be just a little happy for us? :)))

Have to say out of all the 5 seasons this finale was probably the most disappointing of all of them, they wrapped up none of the story-lines, the way that dair was wrapped up was poor to say the least, for all the development that they did on blairs character throughout the season showing her as a more caring, mature person they did a huge step back to the past breaking up with dan without speaking to him, instead blindly running after chuck and letting go his rejection like it was nothing. Serena is disgusting claiming that she was a victim, dont take pictures of ur best friends diaries. Only good part was the lola, Ivy alliance.

ahhh !!! loved the last scene blair says 'im all in' and the dealer asks chuck " your bet sir?" WHATS IT GONNA BE! ??? is he all in???!!! or is he going to say F it and fold ? my heart can't take this!!! :) The look on his face was PRICELESS. As for other speculations, I also think eric could be GG and that would be hilarious if Jenny came back as blairs designer. O september you seem so far away!
Chair was trully epic in this episode...The episode though...not so epic. BUT it was a good set up for next season. Come on you guys:
- Chuck, Blair AND Jack working together to take Bart Bass down.

- Serena going downhill. Can i just say that after Chair, Serena was the best part of this episode? You may say anything you want but i justify Serena's actions 100% and apparently Dan is going down the same road.
I know the ending was not so good for Derena(Courage Derena fans), but though i was not really supportive of this i can see Dan and Serena finding their way back to each other. I think they'll help each other out to come back back to their senses. And OF COURSE Serena loves Dan.
