How about we kill of cardio goddess Teddy, and bring back Burke? That would certainly add some major spice to Owen & Cristina's relationship. :)
That said, I am hoping that it's April leaving but pretty sure it's the Chief.

I think its Callie or Ari because Shonda said she couldnt give away any clues about them in the finale and Sara has been very quiet. Also it would be a big shock since everyone assumes its Derek.

Meredith , Alex and Cristina are originals so not happening
Webber, Derek, Bailey and Callie (been in since season 2 so i count her as an original) also are likely excluded
Arizona can't imagine her dying (I would be sad)
Mark and Lexie have a love triangle which would make a good story next season
April may have lost a lot of stuff but i think she will likely repeat the year with Lexie
Jackson above says no so...
Richard will likely get more involved with Catherine as a replacement for Adele
Teddy possible as she has no story after Henry's death 9(Hope not I like her loads)
Owen likely not as Rhimes has said they are not over
Lexie possible as this would give a huge impact on Meredith and Mark.

One other thing of interest is a lot of info about what would happen if an earth quake hit Seatlle and the devistation it would cause. It would be a new accident undone by Rymes it could destroy the hospital and kill many

Keys to the next episode and the death of a doc and the plane crash was on Scandle last night so rule that out as the event. What clues did we get last night. Well Kepner fails the boards no poop!!! She has been unsure of herself remember when she was Shepards assistance as chief. We have her acting crazy look at her punching the guy and sleepIng with Avry. Maybe she is a little psycho killer in the making. She also has her Jesus promises maybe part of a crazy cult who knows. We are looking a baby Avry in the next nine months I would say yep. New resident Alert. We see a crew of new docs touring showing new cast members for season 9. We also know from recent news Grey, Yang, Karev, Bailey are not leaving Grey's , but not SGMW hospital Like I said before tollowing docs to new locations would give the show a new direction that Rhmes wants next season to be. This leave Sheppard and Webber. We know Dempsey has said in the past few months he is staying if he can reduce his airtime t

I am pretty convinced it will be Teddy. Christina will take her position at Seattle Grace. I also think Bailey's boyfriend Nurse Sexy Eye's will most likely get the ax too. Everyone else has unresolved storylines Mark/Lexie Mer/Der Christina/Owen Jackson/Keppner and Alex makes the show so I doubt he is leaving.

Seriously...come on, you know it has to be Adele Webber, the Chief's Alzheimer's afflicted wife. That leaves the Chief to grieve, maybe fall off the wagon, or at the very least, start steaming up the screen with Catherine Avery... making Jackson really flip out, making Lexie even more guilty and messed up between Jackson and Mark, while making Mark torn between Lexie and Julia...etc... Bring it on! Drama, drama, and more drama to get dark and twisty over!

I thought Mer and Christina were definetly safe - it´s their story. The twisted sisters are the heart and soul of it all. Alex... I don´t think he dies. He is too important. Plus, we´ve kinda been there and done that - the story of an underdog, with so much potential, with so much hope... Hello! George!
I had my thoughts on Bailey. She would break the most hearts, I think. And there was said it is to be worse then even the shooting.
But now? Lexie. Chief Webber. Owen (with him I would be fine, actually :D).

I think Shonda is throwing us off with the title "flight". everyone seems to think the person dies in a plane? has she said this much? last i read the title was meant to be a metaphor for new attendings growing up and "flying away" from seattle grace, or moving on with their careers at SGMW or elsewhere. The title in the penultimate episode is 'migrate'. In an inteview she was asked if it was on a plane and she didnt give a straight answer, but I don't think she would whether or not the answer was yes or no.

They won't kill Derek. In my opinion, its an insult to Shonda that anyone would think she would be so stupid to Kill of McDreamy. He's a staple to this show, and has been for 8 seasons. For the first 4/5 seasons it was the Mer/Der show. Shonda isn't that stupid to kill him off. There would be way more backlash from when they killed of George, and that was a lot. So, I don't think she would kill him off. Teddy makes sense. Teddy dies, Chrstina takes over as cardio attending, which keeps her and Owen together to solve their problems. Richard also makes sense, his story is kind of done.

It could be Kepner. Def don't think that it's Zola. I don't see any point- and from what the synopsis says, the Docs are placed in a medical crisis. As well, shonda also said that it could be more than one who dies, and she mentioned that their will be some lives in jeopaordy (sp?) at the end of the season. It definitely a doctor that dies. I say Kepner, Webber or Teddy. These are the only characters that don't have a story line for next season. Derek and Mer have their little boston or seattle thing going on, they are having a house built but huge offers in the east, owen and christina have some unresolved marriage issues- theres definitely a story there (shonda hinted at this for next season) and theres the whole Lexie Mark thing that we have going on, especially after tonight's episode. Teddy's husband died, theres nothing for her anymore, Kepner failed her boards, and Webber's basically lost everything since Adele got sick. So, I think it would make sense one of them dies.

My guess is it's April. She's lost her faith in God. She failed the boards. The preview shows she loses the job she was offered. She's going to commit suicide. Suicide is the only thing the show could do that would be worse than the shooting. Except kill a child, which they already did last Thursday. My money is on Kepner.

If the writers cried when writing this death scene, it makes sense Zola is the one. It would be really shocking and sad, as Shonda had said, the death of a beloved baby such as Zola.
All pieces fit: she is a beloved character, her death would be shocking to the audience, and killing a so innocent and tender character would cause any writer to cry.
how Meredith and Derek will react?

I say its Owen, Teddy, or chief Webber. I don't think its Derek. Shonda says in interviews is a "PRETTY big death" and a "FAIRLY shocking death". Derek would be shocking times a millon, and not just FAIRLY shocking. Killing Zola doesnt make sense, shes a baby. There would be no point in having a character die unless that actor/actress was moving on to other things. Zola doesnt even have to be in the episodes, we know she exists, so the that doesnt make sense. Might be Lexepedia (but i don't think so- if the show were to ever continue later w/out mer shes the grey in greys anatomy). I am putting my money on Webber. I originally thought maybe McSteamy, but he's apparently safe.

I am thinking Webber or Lexie. It has to be someone that impacts them all. By originals they could mean the interns. Webber has outlived his story and will be on a plane. Better not be Calzona- lose alot of viewers and still plenty of story left to be told.

Callie came in at the end of season 2, so since Grey's is on season 8 now, I would consider her an original!!! Plus Shonda said the death is a HUGE fan favorite and even the writer's cried. My money is on Callie and I will not be watching anymore:(

That finale episode is called flight. After seeing tonight's episode it will either be Richard while on the plane to that conference he was talking to Jackson's Mom about or it will be Derek while on a plane to Boston. There has been much talk that Derek would be leaving at the end of this season. April, Lexie and Teddy aren't major enough to create enough of an impact. The others have already been written as saved. shonda talked about Callie/Arizona's relationship impact in the final episode and future implications for next year. It could be Owen, but they haven't introduced any sort of lead in that it would be him and Shonda mentioned in another interview that him and Christina will be putting their differences aside as it's not as important as what they are going to have to cope with together, so it sounds like they are going to be leaning on one another to cope with the tragedy.
