ok...i m just pissed!!!!meant to be and you kill her???i don't care if she wanted to leave!!!!Do something to end well for Mark+Lexie at least!!!!!for me it's eather season 9 with Lexie+Mark or no GA!!!!So i see it's prety obvius Lexie is not going to be alive so BB GA!!!

I don't know,I still think she could've found a different way for her to leave the show other than killing her. Then Chyler could have possibly come back if she wanted. So Kim has the option to come back maybe but Lexie doesn't?

Chyler willingly left, Shonda stated it was personal. The reason Shonda won't elaborate is because it's somebody elses issue that she can't speak about. I am sure we will all find out eventually as to why she left, but it must have been something serious because she worked closely with Shonda on writing Lexies exit from the show, and as I understand Shonda didn't want her to go.
Also I really hate the April/Jackson storyline, April failing storyline!
If Lexie is no longer returning to Grey's then Mark shouldn't either. As Shonda just said, they were meant for each other, so he should die out there as well. Keep the rest of the characters. Kill off Mark and keep Arizona.(don't like Arizona, but that makes more sense). I'm honestly bored with Meredith and Derick and Grey's in total. I was hoping for a Mark and Lexie reunion in this finale, and have Arizona be the one who dies, but hey. I honestly don't think I'm going to tune in for next season. Grey's has gotten boring. Anyhoo, that's my 2c ;) Grey's may want to consider next season being their last(even if most of the characters have signed on for 2 more seasons), because Grey's has - in my opinion - run out of story lines.

Mark won´t die, I convinced. I mean - to kill Lexie was sad but it leaves us with a good set of emotions to play with. And the recovery process of her beloved half is about as good of writing material as it gets.
Arizona, on the other hand... I do worry about Arizona. Maybe even about Derek.
And I sure hope the show picks up where we left of. I really wanna see Owens reactions when he bloody FINALLY listens to his messages. I wanna see them hear about Lexie, I wanna see the reactions first hand. I definetly wanna see them get rescued.

Why don't she just kill them all off and get it over with.So disappointing ..... I am not sure if I'll continue to watch after this stupid,unnecessary death of one of my favorite characters on the show..........Bad move,Shonda.

To the other commenters, whilst it's sad lexie died, I think you all have to realise she won't be coming back at all (not even Denny style) which is due to personal matters as Shonda stated. At this point they have seriously run out of story-lines, and are pulling all stops to shock people and increase ratings. I hardly believe anyone else will die, Shonda said that to keep buzz around the finale and anticipation for season 9.
With that said, all of the main cast have resigned contracts apart from Mark Sloan and Arizona Robbins, so my guess is it'll be one of them. Who knows it could just be the pilot.
Really I'd love to see Izzie, Addison and Burke come back. The original cast was the best.

I'm so surprised that Shonda wrote the part where Mark was saying he will leave with Lexie. That's a very guy-like stupid things to say. Mark can't die just to be with Lexie it's so selfish. He needs to survive for Sophia (DUH!) and Callie and Arizona. Regardless of what happened in the episode, Mark can't die! Derek and Mer have Zola to think about. And Christina is the most amazing character of the show.

So is this part of Shonda Rhimes plan in making Grey's just like ER, lasting many seasons with a different cast, by killing off the favourite/original castmembers?
FYI: ppl stop obsessing over there no being cell phones and the flare not working, its fiction! IRL the flare gun would work, air traffic control would have raised the alarm, they would have some form of communication available and the chief would've been more attentive and noticed far earlier!!

Im scared Derek is the next one to die. Cause we all know Patrick Dempsey wont be there anymore in season 9.
Really hated the fact of Lexie being death. She was my favourit.
I really hope no one else will die cause that will be a disaster!

I'm a hugh fan of GA and love this show. It was very sad to see Lexie. This show is very unpredictable and that's what I love about it. Can't wait for the next season to start. Great job Shonda!

i'm from romania.i really enjoy this movie. i don't hope to become an endless movie like bold and the beautiful but i hope there will be more seasons to come. i really hope this was just a dream or a prevision and they all be ok. miracles happen sometimes.

I have been a 'true fan' since the beginning...I held on to so much hope that one day mark and Lexie would get their happy ending. I'm heartbroken over the loss and wish that somehow everyone was wrong, that Lexie will come back (obviously that's not going to happen..) I will continue to be a fan of the show but I am upset to know that my favorite character is gone.

Greys anatomy is my favorite show! but i was so sad that lexi's character had to go. Mark and Lexi could have had a second chance! they were perfect for each other and you could feel the chemistry between the two. I think the next one to go should be mark; only because he told lexi he loved her and cried and you could feel the emotion. so it would not be right to let him stay. actually none of the characters should have died!

I have never cried so hard as to when lexie died. For me it was a huge disappointment. Of all the story lines I felt that she and mark deserved to be together. Not sure why You had to end that story line. It is much better stronger and true to life than many of the others. writing off April what ive been better.

@Anne- they probably did have cell phone towers, but out in the middle of no where, probably no cell phone towers.
Can I just point out that Hunt not knowing for such a long time would never happen. I'm a flight attendant, and even though it was a small jet plane, the crew control in Boise would have been expecting them. And would have contacted crew control in Seatac when they didn't show up.. That's if to say that one of the two crew controls was not in contact with them during the flight, and noticed that they weren't responding. More than likely it would have been noticed by crew control right away and they would have contacted the hospital and it would have been all over the news. I'm juuuuuust saying :)

Well I am disappointed about little grey leaving the show. They were just about to make it with Mark. No good. Please let's Derek and Mer have a baby on their own. They need a little happiness and comfort.
In the finale they didn't have any cellphone with them come on???

I can't believe Shonda killed off Lexie...I mean are we just meant to forget one of the show's most liked couple- Slexie? But,I admit the end of season 8 had a powerful spin off...I can't wait to see who else dies while they wait to be rescued....It better not be Arizona, Sloan or Derek...

I think that killing off Lexie was super sad, but the drama of Greys is why we are all fans. Saying you won't watch because someone got killed off doesn't make you a true fan. I loved Mark and Lexie, but I want to see what's left of Mark...will he live or will he die? I believe both could be a beautiful and tragic story. We may finally see Lexie and Mark together, or we could watch how Mark carries on without her.
I had friends who stopped watching after George died and they have missed some amazing things from this show. I'm excited and on the edge of my seat to see what next season holds!!

While I was shocked and upset as everyone else about Lexie dying, it's a DRAMA people! For you so called "fans", you're not a true fan if you stop watching because people get killed off. I looked into it, and Lexie wanted off the show.

The flight plans would have them arriving in Boise at a certain time. I had trouble with them not being or reported lost earlier.
