Gee, isn't it funny how one person can whine and complain sooooo much about "office romances" being tasteless and wrong...yet we ALL watched Gibbs mess around with FELLOW Gov't Employee Dr. Ryan, and we didn't seem to mind when Tony let his libido do the talking rather than common sense, when he hooked up with FELLOW CO-WORKER Agent Barrett - a woman who didn't care whether he lived or died once he was shot down, laying on the ground. One the BIGGEST mistakes of his life. Very interesting how we can pick & choose what is "acceptable office romance".

Mike you ARE Bitter - and perhaps even a bit obsessed with trying to put Tony & Ziva in a negative light, when the Viewership of NCIS - and even the Network - have ALREADY embraced this couple. The fact that you accessed this page MINUTES after I posted a comment proves your obsession. You insist on living in the PAST & you refuse to let the past DIE. S1-S2 ARE Dead & Gone, because that DYNAMIC longer exists. Thus, it IS Dead. S3 reigned in a new dynamic which presides today. What you continually fail to realize is that Tony & Ziva are NOT an "office" fling. They have become a "PROFOUND" - to use Ms. DePablo's word - LOVE STORY. This is a LOVE STORY. Gov't Agents are people too, and they CAN fall in love. Tiva is merely a SUB PLOT of the show, but a VERY important one. IF you can't handle it - go find yourself another TV show. I hear one can even catch reruns of "The Rifle Man".

Steve et al: Thanks, Great Discussion. Jimmy & Cole were unforseen MVP's, indeed. Both certainly held their own, surprisingly. I'll always love Tiva; they'll forever be known as one of the great TV couples when they become official. You have my vote on S10/S11 being "It". These characters need to GRADUATE, and quality is already suffering, in a way. No offense to Glasberg, but all things MUST come to an end- even NCIS. Better to go out swinging, than to fizzle like Law & Order or even JAG.

@klimville - Ignore "Mr. Bitter". He's the only viewer (not even a fan)I know who's in denial about PRESENT Day NCIS. S1& S2 are DEAD and GONE. The CURRENT & LASTING dynamic reflects who the team has been since S3. NCIS will be forever known & judged for what the CURRENT cast brought to the show.

This season finale arc was the most boring one. Please don't bring back Samatha Ryan and her family.
I used to love Tiva but gibbslap the writer for writing Tiva enter elevator in emergency situation. Tiva thing has been dragging on too long and I lost interest in it. Ziva deserves someone better than stupid Tony.

Being a big old softie at heart, I'm looking forward to Ziva and Tony making out in that stuck elevator. Right after they get over the shock of the explosion and "what are we going to do...blab blah blah". :)

You claim to be an NCIS fan, but apparently you do not listen or read other fans hopes, dreams and/or speculation on the various plots! Tiva would so work if it's not out-and-out obvious or played out in the workplace! A couple of romantic dinners without broadcasting it to Gibbs and company, which would lead to further romance by season's end (after all they played a romantic couple in a couple of stings and the 'zing' was there). As for McGee, he is a solid agent...has a few phobias in earlier seasons...but his background digging/tech work is unsurpassed and he HAS grown up in the part. And Ziva's character would not normally be an investigative agent, except that her Mosad kick-ass training, comes in handy in most cases and Gibbs capitalizes on it. Tony is sophmoric..enough said! And the "innocent man" you claim Gibbs killed was a drug lord who killed his family!! Not so innocent, and his death a service to mankind!
I would like to see more military cases, th

Ducky is good as we is let just find out how he and Gibbs meet and his father nothing eles

Office love not realistic? It is actually the most realistic thing there is. Most people find their true love in the workplace (because it is where they spend the majority of their time). So Tony and Ziva, season 10 is the season where you two get together. I'll have fun watching these two romantically dysfunctional characters make this relationship work, because there is no doubt in my mind they will. And I have faith in the writers to make it so we get to enjoy it but won't let it take the upper hand.

So excited to see where this picks up in the season premiere! We of course know it was stupid for Tony and Ziva to take the elevator, but Gary Glasberg has also said there was a specific reason that happened and that it would be resolved in the first episode of S10. I honestly do hope that at least one of the team gets critically injured (most likely McGee, because even though I love him, he was very close to the window when the bomb went off) and they truly realize just how fickle and weak life is. Perhaps it will serve as a final eye-opener for Tony and Ziva. Lord knows the vast majority of viewers have been waiting for them for years! Looking forward to another wonderful year of NCIS!

I think Dearing gets his in the first episode of Season 10. And please, let Jamie Lee's character sail off into the sunset, never to be heard or seen again. Palmer is a question mark I think for next season.
Someone get Abby on meds, her manic episodes are really becoming distractin and annoying!
McGee? How about he meets a nice girl and has a real relationship.
Tony? Good heavens, somebody fix him! The frat boy thing has run its course.
Ziva? Well...she's perfect :)
Gibbs? The Man. Hope he finds love. (Not with Dr.Ryan) please.
Vance? Like him, but his character really needs to start leaning toward being human. Ducky? Ah,perhaps he will meet someone equally intelligent and equally gentle. That's my wrap. Look forward to at least 2 more seasons.

I personally am tired of Tony acting like an elementary school kid beyond 5yrs. old. I think it's a slap in the face of our military that do the real investigations and heaven forbid, if they really do act this way. I wish that Tony would grow up and act his age. For the life of me I can't understand why his character has not been fired. I know my office would not put up with the stupid stuff he does!!! I would like for Gibbs to fall in love and marry and live happily ever after. I know that David McCallum did sign his contract so I expect him back;Tim- what can I say- I love him on the show, he's fantastic and his character acts alot mor mature than Tony; Ziva- love her and her trying her best to figure out "American slange". I like Vance, i hope he comes back and Jamie Lee too, I think her and Gibbs make a good couple, but she needs to stop trying to analyze him. Abbie- she could act a little more her age. I have a hard time believing that an agency like NCIS would let someone dress

I really liked Gibbs and Col. Mann together if they are going to bring back a love interest for Gibbs. I really liked JLC as a love interest but seem to be in the minority. Gibbs can't have just anybody though. She will have to be just right. Can't wait for the new season. The only casaulty that I think may happen would be Vance or McGee. They both took the brunt of the blast. Hope not McGee although Sean Murray hasn't had a good storyline in a while.

I think it’s Time for NCIS to get realistic Office love is a lot like long distance relationships it never works and the fan base does not want it. As for McGee it’s time for him as well as Abby and Ziva to grow up between McGee still acting like a 12 year old with his first laptop its getting old and Abby and her spoil rotten attuide has to Stop before she become the 2nd most hated NCIS character and as for Ziva talk about a huplrcate these woman says one thing and does the other and its really getting old hell it was old by season 7.

I see the show going 12 seasons with Gibbs building a new boat "The Shannon Kelly" and he and ducky retiring and sailing off. Making DiNozzo the new team leader and Palmer the new chief medical examiner. thus tony and Jim become the new Gibbs Ducky and the team goes on. I hope we get some more of Gibbs rules though I love those. best show on T.V. period.

With the comments about next season ....... Look what CBS did to CSI Miami after 10 years......they didn't even get a proper send off or finale............I could get on a REAL rant here on this but I won't....
We've all already remarked about how Tony and Ziva SHOULD NOT have been in an elevator when they were evacuating the building knowing there was a bomb somewhere..........I liked their earlier remarks in the episode about weddings....
We didn't know where Palmer was.....I guess we're too assume he was headed back to DC after his chat with Breena.........
I hope JLC isn't back next season but I got a feeling she will be.......My thinking is they wrap this up with the season premier.........I also think the rest of the cast WILL return next season....

Do any of these comments ever find their way to the producers/writers/actors? Going on the faint hope that they do, I want to put MY 2 cents in for: (1) better storylines for McGee--be done with the "probie" crap and accord the same level of respect for the character as the others (2)A reasonable redhead for Gibbs, preferably with a functioning IQ to match his (3)resolution to the obvious pairings--do it, then don't let it become an issue in the storylines! Writers are not always known for their sensitivity to fans--but here's a real clear challenge to them--IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T TRY TO FIX IT!

I believe/hope that season 11 sees Ducky's retirement party (nothing against David but it would be refreshing to actually retire a character) after supporting Palmer as lead ME in season 10. Maybe Gibbs will really retire as well to start building sailboats full time (I'd buy one that I knew was so lovingly crafted). Hopefully they don't end the series, in whatever season, with death but actually give our beloved characters a happy ending.
As for the beginning of season 10, hopefully only one of the cast is in intensive care (my guess is McGee or Vance) and everyone else survives to take down Dearing by the 3rd episode of the season.

Tony and Ziva ran to the elevator to get away from the blast. Sure hope they finally get together next season along with Tim and Abby getting together. With all that the cast has been through they have to realize by now that they can be here today and gone tomorrow. Time to get realistic, people do meet at work and marry especially this bunch they work 24/7 many times how can they meet someone outside the agency. Also Gibbs needs to get with it.....too long without a real relationship. He can't live in the past forever. I love NCIS but next season should be the last only if it finalizes these relationships.
