  1. Invested In Your Future

For the first one, well yeah, but that also makes one question on why he did not just kill Emma to break it if it is that easy. for some reason he wants it to be broken in specific way, it seems.

as for the second one. Regina has no magic left. She can't create anything now. She could undo someone's memory block, theoretically since that would mean destroying existing magic and not creating something new, i guess, so I doubt she could just erase his memories.

@Bored Now: we have no idea how Mr Gold got Henry. Who says he left Storybrooke? For now, it's just the only reason I see why Rumple would want to break the curse.

I wonder if Regina had the time to erase Jefferson's memory. If Emma is looking for answers after what happened to Henry, she'll probably be looking for him, since he also believed in the curse.

  3. Invested In Your Future

What makes me wonder is why he just doesn't kill Emma, if that's enough to break the curse? Are there consequences for killing the savior? Does it have to be a sacrifice?
Which makes me think that killing Emma "ends" the curse, while otherwise Emma would "break" the curse.

The latter possibly starting a chain reaction of some sorts Rumple has set up and the former just outright ending that magic.

Loved having Jefferson back. Even though he is quite mad. I hope Regina doesn't kill him or change his character. Would love to see him stick around. I hope Emma gets her a** in gear so she can help everyone. Sometimes I want to slap her. She & David are really wear on my nerves. I love James! I hope they can save August.

  5. Invested In Your Future

He gave Regina the curse to go to that world without magic and without happy endings (preventing Mr. Gold to have his own with his son),
Regina and Gold are seemingly unaffected by the curse.

And gold could leave, since he went on and found henry for Regina at some point :)

  6. Invested In Your Future

The show is (Disney) faery-tale oriented, so I choose to believe the general 'children are safe, their parents fair game' rule that has always applied to the Disney versions, which gives further weight to the idea of Emma sacrificing herself.

Oh I am sure that Henry survives. My bet betting due to both Regina and Emma.

My guess is that season cliffhanger will be David's death, as a paralel to Snow's and Charming's trumph and happy ending in FTL

  7. Invested In Your Future

Did Snow actually kill anyone? I don't think so (since at least some of the fighters in the square got back up) and I find it interesting that the show is keeping her hands clean
She stabbed one of guards in the gut with a throwing knife. I'd say she could care less on if they die and there was no intention of any sort of implication that snow intended to not hurt anyone there. If there was we would have had a narrative device confirming that.

  8. MissMontyH

And I hope Emma doesn't die at the end of the season, I was looking forward to some mother-daughter time between her and MM/Snow.

  9. MissMontyH

I think Rumple/Gold wants the curse to be broken to look for his son. It has never been said that the breaking of the curse means back to FTL. And since Rumple designed it to find his son, it's only logical that he made it in such a way that he can stay in the "real" world to find him. He gave Regina the curse to go to that world without magic and without happy endings (preventing Mr. Gold to have his own with his son), and gave Snow the key to break it so he could be free to search for Bae Fire in this world.

What makes me wonder is why he just doesn't kill Emma, if that's enough to break the curse? Are there consequences for killing the savior? Does it have to be a sacrifice?

And I was also disappointed in Pinochio. Once again, he's been selfish. First he left Emma behind, and now he chooses to spend time with his father, giving up rather quickly.

  10. Mrs. Charming

This episode is so good! AMAZING! I love seeing Charming being all brave unlike David. Also, him in those leathers ;) Only one episode left. Don't know ho will I go on 3 months without this amazing story!!! :(

  11. Fae-tful

The only thing that has bothered me about this wonderful season of television that OUAT has provided are the minor but nonetheless apparent continuity errors. I suppose some of them can be corrected yet, but a couple of note:

    a) in Ep 1 Snow claims that Regina poisoned an apple because she was prettier. This ep smashed any possible kernel of truth there.
    b) in conversation with Charming (ep 3 I think) Snow seemed aware of why Regina hated her. Something along the lines 'she thinks I destroyed her happiness'. And am I remembering wrongly, but does she reference the secret at some point? I know Regina did, but am not sure about Snow.

    Query RE: Snow's Fight.

Did Snow actually kill anyone? I don't think so (since at least some of the fighters in the square got back up) and I find it interesting that the show is keeping her hands clean - the show itself clearly has no general qualms with the idea of 'good guys' killing, since Grumpy planted his pickax in one soldier's back.

  13. Sioned

@Shae: You're right - the idea that the stories can be rewritten is awesome and has so much potential down the track.

Also it makes me think of the Hat as a TARDIS which makes me even more excited. I want more Jefferson, here's hoping Regina doesn't just kill him instead of honouring their deal.

  14. Chrysalis

I don't think that Regina's love for Henry will win out. As mentioned Henry I didn't fare too well despite being the thing she loved the most. But also in that dream of hers, when Emma says that they're going to take away Regina's happiness, I thought for a moment that she was going to attack Henry with the sword, not Regina. But in Regina's dream her first thought was to herself, not Henry.

  15. BooRadley

"Magic is coming"! I don't know what that means, and presume its where season 2 is headed, but that phrase was my favourite part of the promo for the finale. It opens so many potential doors for the future of the series - I've seen reviews critical of the long-term potential of the premise of the show, but I think it can go in about 100 different directions, it doesn't have to rest on the curse forever, so I am so exited for both the finale and the future of the series in general.

  16. Shae

The show is (Disney) faery-tale oriented, so I choose to believe the general 'children are safe, their parents fair game' rule that has always applied to the Disney versions, which gives further weight to the idea of Emma sacrificing herself.

The way Regina and Gold talked seemed to imply that breaking the curse would result in a return to FTL. Did anyone else find it interesting that Jefferson's portals are apparently not only interdimensional but can temporal too - the apple from the past? That opens the stories up even further potentially, if they can be rewritten.

Also, I heard another character would die before the end of the season. I hope it's not Henry. Since we found out it's not Kathryn, it could be Henry. Or August, he doesn't have much time left.

For Regina to let her love for Henry triumph, she would have to get back to who she was in the beginning, but it seems like too much happened for her to go back. But maybe she can redeem herself. Hey, if Dan Scott can do it, anything's possible!

That's what I was thinking too, that maybe to break the curse (at the end of the series), Emma would sacrifice herself. Or maybe she won't have to die, since the curse is starting to break bit by bit. Since there is no magic left in this world (she used all that was left), they probably won't be able to leave, but they,ll remember and live their happy endings here. Can't wait for the season finale, I heard it's gonna be amazing.

  20. Sioned

I happen to think that Henry may well be Bae's son. Which would make his family tree very very twisted, but I also don't think we'll see any of that until season 2. But it means that Regina, Emma, Snow-Charming, and Rumps' are all invested in his future.

Regina's love for Henry triumphing, its a nice thought, and would be a nice twist, but given the fate of his namesake, I'm not so sure that's in the cards.

  21. Sioned

Well we've also found out that Emma's death would break the curse - not necessarily the way it will play out, but given that a) this ep was about Snow's sacrifice for everyone, and b) the producers of this show's backgrounds (esp LOST AND BUFFY) make it very possible, that 'death will be her gift'.

  22. Invested In Your Future

I am guessing that in the end, regina's love for henry might triumph and the twist will be that she will allow emma to break the curse to save Henry. And in the end Gold gets what he wants....as its obviously something he set up that requires curse to break to happen.

  23. Invested In Your Future

    Another GREAT episode.
    - Just as I guessed, Emma's buildup is the "restricted" kind of. Not even once she did deny the existence of it all verbally in the episode and henry falling down in the end of the episode was the event that starts the avalanche.
    - Snow's castle attack was awesome. Now I am even more convinced that Blue Fairy is behind it all since she participated in pretty much every major event, just as Rumple did.
    - Speaking of which, its nice to have confirmation that he wants something that will happen once curse breaks. i wonder on what the hell is it.
