Matthew Gray Gubler Signs New Criminal Minds Contract
The doctor will be in on Criminal Minds for at least two more seasons.
In casting news first broken by Deadline, Matthew Gray Gubler has signed a new contract with this CBS drama that will keep Dr. Spencer Reid for another two years. The character, a fan favorite, graduated college at 12 and possesses an IQ of 187.
Criminal Minds, of course, is going through a mini shake-up. Paget Brewster exited following Season 7 and former Big Love star Jeanne Tripplehorn has been brought in to essentially replace her.
She'll debut on the Season 8 premiere this fall.

Reid needs to have a relationship already, I thought it would be the new addition at the beginning of Season 7, she left. Now this 49 year old actress(amazing actress btw) is coming on. No hope for Reid in the romance department. G-Man stands alone.
