Vampire Diaries Casting: Who Should Play Bonnie's Father?
We may need to wait months until The Vampire Diaries Season 4 graces our screens, but numerous interviews have revealed a few upcoming spoilers/tidbits. To wit:
- Julie Plec foresees Elena as a "supernatural heroine" of some kind after she transitions.
- The friendship between Caroline and Stefan will deepen.
- Klaus is far from dead.
- We'll meet Bonnie's father at some point.
It's on that final point we focus here: What actor should take on this key role?
The Vampire Diaries has had great success casting relative no names in big roles (see Morgan, Joseph and Gillies, Daniel), as it's not the sort of show to ever rely on stunt casting. But it's still fun to speculate... even if some of our following speculations are a tad more wishful than realistic.

I'm not sure who will be Bonnie's father but as long as they help with their friends'problems,then they're fine on the show. I can't wait for season 4. =|

However Marisa, black people come in all colors, black and white do not automatically make mocha or caramel like everyone seems to believe here. Genetics is far more complicated than that.

I was thinking why aren't any white actors on this list as who hell said her father was black, so to automatically assume its black actor is prejudicial. Her father from how Abby's full name was not Sheila's son. His last name is Wilson.

I think her father will be white, since Kat Graham's skin is so pale for a black person. She's probably mixed.

Oh and about Bonnie's dad, I think Seth Gilliam would be a real good pick. He also plays Dr. Deaton on Teen Wolf.
