... but he recognizes it as a tool for power. He's a parallel to very real fake religious fanatics in all religions who pretend to be holier than though and just say "sorry" when they're done with their sins, and all is okay, and use their religion as a source of power. Alan Ball loves to point out those hypocrisies, so don't expect this to last.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm pushing for Martha to actually end up connecting/bonding with Luna and her pup. I think Martha will realize the Pack is going down a wrong path (unless Alcide fixes that) and will put the pup first. It will be good for Luna to have to trust her. Martha seems to be a very cool layered character.

Boy do I wish Sookie knew all the vamps were going "bat-shit crazy" before she was dumping all her faerie power out. Ugh.

Terrie, I think it was just the extent of the injuries. I actually thought Luna was dead for sure. Sam looked to be shot only in the shoulder or something not as serious, but I think (if I recall, but someone correct me if I'm wrong) that Luna was shot in the chest and stomach. Yes, you CAN survive that under the right circumstances but it will be a SLOW painful recovery. don't think it's shifter-related.

I'd love more theories on why the Bud-dragon connection. Just because he happened to be there in the same episode?

Interesting theory on Lilith/Fae, but I think it's probably b/c it's the purest.. unless Fae are descendant of the original Vamp? What a twist that would be.

I think Russell is still very much so a sociopathic villain. He has just found that if he has said 'praise lillith", or "forgive me, lillith" after something heinous, no one looks at him twice, so it eliminates his danger. He doesn't give two hoots about Lillith or the "true religion", but he recogn

Some people think that Lafayette, Hoyt, Tara, Andy, Alcide, Terry, Jason, Sam's storyline are annoying. So basically, everybody execpt Sookie, Bill and Eric. I think THEY are anoying, not the stories. I love all the characters, that's why I LOVE TBlood. And this last episode was awesome! Like every season, tension is building up, everything will make sense and come together at the end.

Ok, could someone kindly refresh my memory. Why are you guys thinking Sheriff Bud is this "dragon"?????? And which one is "prune face"???

Once again TOO MUCH jammed into one hour.............

Loved the vampire gang walking down Bourbon Street...........

Funny....Sam rolling on the floor like a dog......LOL.....something else with this....Sam healed SOOOO quick......Luna is a shifter too so wouldn't stand to reason she'd heal quick too?? Why is she still in the hospital???

I agree that Hoyt joining this hate group will end with his death.......probably accidentially by Jason....

Still don't know what to make of the Authority.........there is only 5 more episodes so they need to get to the point of this............this is something to annoys me about this show.......we have to wait A DAMN YEAR and only get 12 episodes..................

I also agree with the commenter on Jessica/Jason because it doesn't make sense. Jason like Tara hates vampires (and they are both justify in their hatred) and quite frankly only put up with Bill and Eric for Sookie's sake. He also was never attracted to Jessica prior to her giving him blood unlike Sookie who was very attracted to Bill on first sight and found Eric attractive on sight. Jason on the other hand I don't think really likes Jessica and imo Jessica is still very selfish and her whole thing with Hoyt has hurt her character because she didn't cheat because she love Jason, she did it because she could. Let this pairing go writers, there nothing magical about it.

  6. Wolfman

I thought this was the best ep yet!!! Only complaint I have is that the were wolves don't get enough credit, they should b more vicious than portrayed but I do like how ema is a puppy wolf. I'm happy alcide finally found a good women inside the pack and I'm excited to see if alcide really wants to be pack master. The scene with the authority was awesome and have to disagree about the (Lilith) blood being fairy, I think that since it is the blood of the vampire mother it would cause them to act or be more primal as the original vampires from the beginning. I really also like Lilith and how she was portrayed as a beautiful Egyptian or a excotic race of human and her screaming lIke a siren from Greek mythology but I noticed it made all the vampires feast but the only wonder I have is for Jesus baby cousin and the now ex wife of his crazy ass uncle.

Well I am positive that this episode makes way for many upcoming exhaustive and fully inclusive battles in True Blood, many of which have been already signified by :

    1) That special Faerie protective club

    2) Anti-Mainstreaming

    3) The words of J.D in this episode

    4) The return of Edgington as part of Lilith's plan

    5) The Obama-mask group that is killing everything that is not-human

for that, I am looking forward to watching some very interesting episodes that would eventually achieve what everybody wants : all characters reunited under one plot and story. I am positive we will end up seeing a massive battle that involves almost everybody, thus hopefully not letting me or any other viewer down.

It's already known that the finale will be a massive bloodbath , according to Jessica's true persona, and I am more than sure that this bloodbath will be - accordingly- including all our characters at once.

So be patient ! the stories are well constructed and the consist

I have to say this episode was well rounded and certainly the best episode of the season so far, which just as good as season 3 was (so hopefully season 6 will be as good as season 2!) and that the episode D, E, F, G and H plots had there moments, Terry attempting suicide was a brilliant scene, Arlene and the Video Tape, Sam and Andys team up, Hoyts storyline seems to building towards something. The only thing is that Lafyettes storyline ruined the episode. Alan Ball clearly heard the fans outcry at magic and listened but it had a huge impact on lafyettes character so he has to close that story. Thats what i hope anyway. Season 5 is shaping up nicely although the death of Roman and the fact Russel isn't as sociopathic and being the main villain is ruining it as either of them could of made an excellent overall villain.

The Authority being unwound after 4 seasons of build up is like The Company being discovered in Heroes, the more we get of it the less power, authority and fear it pr

@Feedback TY for clearing that up, you are right it wasn't Russell feeding on the kid it was prune face. Wasn't really the kind of scene I wanted to rewind so thank you for pointing out my mistake. @LuckuBastarda I too liked your comment about the blood being fairy. Very interesting and I also agree with you guys that Bud is dragon, good call.

It was something to see jason shoot jessica in the head. I know a lot of people love them together but personally i don't. Maybe its cause they screwed over Hoyt but something about their relationship just doesn't make too much sense to me. I wonder if Hoyt and Jason will be bro's again I mean they both on a vamp killing road

How did I miss this line.... "Yeah, apparently long-term burning is permanent on vampires. The more you know." LOL :D

cont... On a positive note - really liked seeing Eric’s maker again. I loved that hotel/roof top season... back when storylines actually made sense and things happened to move characters forward. :/

It was a decent episode but like so many others have been saying since season five began - kill off some of the characters and in turn the ridiculous amount of storylines we're failing to care about. The shifters, Lafayette, Andy and Terry are killing the episodes every week. They need to either tie into the main points of the season or be skipped over for that episode.

I also have to agree with @Feedback about The Authority. "They set up the Authority as some huge vampire organization and instead, they end up focusing on some 6 vampires who sit around a table and pray. Where is the rest of the vampire bureaucracy and why isn't anyone raising an eyebrow at this treason?" It still doesn't feel like there's any clear developments we should be excited to see unfold. They gave up on letting us see Pam and Eric back in the day. I don't know… previous seasons were just a whole lot more entertaining.

what happened to my beloved true blood ? :(

This season has been a true letdown. They set up the Authority as some huge vampire organization and instead, they end up focusing on some 6 vampires who sit around a table and pray. Where is the rest of the vampire bureaucracy and why isn't anyone raising an eyebrow at this treason? I just expected so much more from this show and I don't even know why. The show keeps failing time and time again.

I'll be taking a hiatus from watching the show. Someone hit me up when the show returns to being interesting or when they finally decide to stop ending episodes in the middle of a scene with some cheap spook... Or AT LEAST when Tara is dead.

P.S. Russell didn't feed on the little kid, it was the burned guy. You know, the one who was burned for months by all the ultraviolet rays in his jail cell and never healed once he left the cell. Yeah, apparently long-term burning is permanent on vampires. The more you know.

Erin beat me to it. I was gonna say Bud was obviously Dragon. Oh well, there was a reason I was going to say "obviously".

As for the episode, it was MEH just like all the others. Why are the writers so afraid to kill off their characters? They present new characters and kill them off after 2 or 3 episodes, but they never kill off the regulars. I would have preferred Tara, Terry, Lafayette, Holly, Hoyt and Jessica all die in some huge massacre instead of Roman and Braun. Tara should have died last season. It would have been the perfect send-off for the character. Right now, she's painstakingly boring. Worst vampire ever. She doesn't even cry blood, just regular tears. LAME.

You know, Meloni and Heyerdahl were terrific in their performances. They should have killed off the other two Authority members instead. Maybe Heyerdahl's obligations to Hell on Wheels prevented him from becoming a regular, but he could have at least sticked around a little longer.

    This season has been a

Eric giving Bill a piggyback ride was hilarious!!!! @LuckyBastarda interesting thought about Lilith because those vamps seemed to be tripping HARDCORE. Y'all knowwww that Tara learned that body roll from Joe Manganiello in real life.

Oh, and BTW, am I the only one that thinks that "Lillith blood" is FAIRY? That could explain the behaviour. It reminded me of Eric's when he drank Sookie's fairy godmother.

F**ing EPIC. This is most definetely on my personal Top 3.

The "tripping vamps" where amazing and I totally loved Jess and Jason's fight. Hardcore.

I like that Sookie is not the central story anymore, and exploring the "bromance" between Eric and Bill.

Loved it. From beggining to end. 5 STARS!

  22. Erin

Bud Dearborn is clearly "Dragon". Also, I'm pretty sure Hoyt joining that hate group solidifies his dying this season (IMHO). This ep boasts two of the show's best moments EVER: Eric carrying Bill on his back down Bourbon St, and Russel sliding on stage to karaoke "You Light Up My Life". I literally clapped my hands in glee.
