Loved John Ross renting the old Ewing Oil space. Those offices and that view are as central to Dallas' universe as Southfork.
Can't wait for next season! I want to see more of ruthless JR and John Ross' manipulation of others. More Cliff Barnes after the Ewings. The struggle over the babies. Chris and Elena giving it another try with John Ross interfering. Finally, I hope two warring Ewings get trapped in that elevator for at least one episode. :)

ten together like this because they both need time. And I believe she was finally opening herself to really loving John Ross. It could have done him wonders- to be the man she believed he could be. It is also too soon for Elena and Chris as they both have feeling and unresolved anger with their former flames. That being said, both Rebbeca and John Ross are manipulative liars, so I don't pity them all that much.
Loved the Cliff Barnes reveal! He will go to any lengths to get the Ewings. I mean, to go after Chris, who was his sister;s beloved adopted son?? To use his own daughter to do it(yuck cousins, even if they lack blood ties). So so terrible. Next season will be crazy!!!
Also, Bobby Ewing shows you can be a badass and still have morals. Hopefully he keeps trying to counteract JR's influence on John Ross.

What an episode! Amazing! I loved it. For one second I was almost fooled into thinking John Ross wasn't as morally bankrupt as JR but he showed his true colours! I don't know if he is truly as vile as JR, or if he is just striking out because he is hurt but this situation is of his own making entirely. HE lied to Elena repeatedly after she gave him numerous opportunities to confess the truth. I get why she left him. As to her and Chris, it has always been clear to me that he is first in her heart. They were parted by circumstance, other peoples lies and responsibility. They stayed apart because both of them try to do the right thing. Chris first by marrying Rebecca, then by trying to reconcile with her for the babies. Her by giving John Ross chance after chance wanting to believe there is good in him. They didn't get together until they realized they were fighting a losing battle with their significant others and they could actually have a chance again. I just wish they hadn't got

Regarding speculation that Chris is Anne's son - I believe the photo that burned had Anne holding a girl, not a boy. I thought the baby had a bow in her hair. Also, it was established on the original series that Chris' parents were Kristin Sheppard (She Who Shot J.R. & Sue Ellen's sister) and her sleazy drug dealing boyfriend. These two stellar characters (sarcasm!) had no qualms about selling their own son on two separate independent occasions. IMO, it would make it pretty interesting for some of Christopher's original DNA to come to the forefront in spite of Bobby's good parenting.

to stop shorted great scene for that. Other than that, this was a great show, and for some reason I didn’t want to watch it. Although I like the actors that play on the show, I thought that it would be too much about the history of the original, that it will feel as if we walk in on a conversation all ready in place. That we would have to go read up on the original series to understand what is going on. They didn't do it like that, they created such a balance that newer generation can get into all the fun and drama of a show; with such great history. I really enjoy it and cannot wait for the next seasons and more to come; if they keep up this great writing.

Chris told her that it was Tommy and Rebecca who sent her the email and Chris never even apologize for blaming John Ross over it. I agree John Ross deserve it - side note ( I bet if John Ross didn't show an ounce of humanity we all will be attacking him and raising Chris on are shoulder as the hero).But it is what it is. The only thing that I want to know is, what happen to the woman who stood by John Ross when he was in jail, and the woman who now ex-boyfriend mother gave her lots of money to help her with she needed it? I hope when they come back, that we don't see a lot of this back and forth with John Ross and Chris. I mean what is this Sami, E.J., and Nicole/ Lucas- oops I'm missing my Days. I just want one show w/o the back and forth, my Single Ladies is doing it and others. Just for once can they make a decision on a love triangle in the first two esp. so we don't have to waste screen time hearing and watching about it. It would clear up more time for the edited dept. to stop

So it's funny that we watch the last esp. last night and when it was reveal in the end, he say I told you- side note that is why I hate watching certain shows with him, he always figure out the plot line before anything happens. Anyway, I was happy that it turn out that there was a bigger secret to fake Rebecca. That's why I didn't jump on the I hate Christopher bandwagon, because I knew that she was holding something back, when she didn't tell Chris everything. When she came to their house and produce the deed. She have several chances to tell him the truth and she didn't. I do agree in other relationship that Christopher was being a brat and needed to grow up, especially when it was his ideal to start Ewing Energies with John Ross and Elena. Although I don't agree with Elena and Chris getting back together so soon, I do agree that I was sick of the back and forth. And her always throwing John Ross under the bus; remember the email. I mean she broke up with him, and it wasn't until C

Man I love and hated this esp. all in one. seeing is how we saw so many up's and down, when it came to certain relationship. Like Christopher / Rebecca/ Elena and John Ross- side note ( Why don't we ever see Chris in any real scene with J.R., but yet John Ross has have private moments with Bobby and others.) Now although we have heard certain rumors that there might be a possibility that Rebecca was relative to someone on the show, most thought it was Ann, only a handful that remember the original Dallas started to put the pieces together. Me being new to Dallas and not knowing all the history did not see it. But it's funny, that my husband who only watch the first two esp. who remember Dallas from his childhood ; say it. He was joking at first, saying that Rebecca and Tommy at the time known to be siblings, seen like a copy of Cliff and his sister that was marry to Bobby. Loved everything that this episode revealed. What a surprise when Rebecca turned out to be Cliff's daughter. I remember Afton but didn't know they had a child...Cliff is more evil than he was before though, cause it seems he's after Christopher's new energy... not great to go after his own nephew... but yeah, as we know, Cliff is actually not better than J.R...
It was a good storyline to make John Ross "nicer" and more human than his father, and give a false hope that there would be piece in the Ewing family...
The end of the episode clearly showed John Ross is back on the dark side, and with Elena between the two cousins, I'm quite sure season 2 will show some family fights and wars, as always in Dallas.
For sure, I'll watch season 2.
Anne's secret is about giving up a baby for adoption. It makes no sense to keep that from Bobby, he would be very understanding and help her track it down if she wanted. The only reason to keep it secret is that she has already tracked him down and it is Christopher. Which would also explain her reaction to Christopher's initial reaction to finding out about the baby with his wife/adopted unknown cousin.

Thank you ReneeM...couldn't have said it better myself. It's not like John Ross ran over her dog or something...yes, he lied, but couldn't she see why he did the things he did to try and fulfill Daddy's expectations. If she truly loved him she would have found a way to give him a second chance...but proof to me that she didn't is the fact she was back in Christopher's bed before the day was out. I am not excusing what John Ross did, but if I truly loved him then I would have found a way to work it out or at least try. He really loved Elaina...that I could see and she hurt him.
I also can't help but be grossed out that Rebbecca and Christopher are cousins...yes, I know he was adopted but still...it bothers me.
I also don't enjoy John Ross being as underhanded and mean as JR...afterall he has to have some of Sue Ellen in there so I am not sure I am going to like what he has planned.

I can't believe how much I LOVE this show! I thought the reboot would suck but it doesn't.
I thought Ann was gonna do something foolish I'm glad she surprised me.

I would like to hate JR, but I can't. The scene between him and Bobby in his hospital room was so touching. I do believe JR loves his family and he would be lost without them.
Had strong feelings that the relationship between Elena and John Ross would not last, however it broke my heart when Elena left him. I'm sure John Ross knew that Elena would end up back with Chris. I don't see that relationship lasting either or it's going to be full of problems, i.e, Rebecca aka Cliff Barnes' daughter.
Hands down - the absolute best scene is when Ann got the best of her ex-husband - what a creep. She punched him and I too have new respect for her after that awesome statement about her gun - lol.
I'm on-board with Lana "hell yeah" I'll be breathlessly waiting for the this show to start in January.

First, last and always -- I love JR Ewing! Has American television EVER had a more stylish, fiendish and fun villain??
What a great twist, Rebecca being Cliff Barnes' daughter; I was totally thinking she was Anne's child.
As for the Christopher/Elena/John Ross triangle: Elena running back and forth between the two every other episode has really gotten old for me. Is Elena really that fickle? Does she not know whom she really loves? And I think that with both Elena and Christopher, it's childish of them to get so hung up on "He/She lied to me," regarding John Ross and Rebecca. Like they've never told a lie in their lives? Don't grownups calm down and take a look at WHY their loved one lied? One can argue that John Ross and Rebecca should have come completely clean when they had the chance, but given their situations, it's not hard to understand that they were too afraid of losing their mates. Both Elena and Chris need to get over themselves a bit.

I loved the season finale. What a lot of twists & turns. I kept reading about Cliff Barnes having a daughter with Afton Cooper, but never thought that it could be Rebecca!
JR & John Ross...what can I say. Love them both. John Ross a bit more now, than JR. Best quote for me, was when JR said to John Ross, "you're definitely my son, from tip to tail". Loved that!
Questions were answered, but yet so many questions remain. What is Anne's secret? Christopher & Elena back together, not my favourite part. Did not like it when she broke John Ross's heart.
Bring on Season 2. I'm suffering from Dallas finale hangover & withdrawal symptoms too.

Don't feel bad Christine I didn't see Cliff Barnes having a daughter either. And I should have too. Should have figured it out the minute she made that phone call and it was cleaned up so quickly. No doubt Tommy's REAL sister will play into next season as I'm sure she is going to venture to Dallas to find out what has happened to her brother. Will Cliff pay her off?
So John Ross is back to his old self. Seen that coming. He thinks he's got his Daddy by the balls, but I think JR is too smart for that and will do something once again to fuel John Ross' hate.
It's clear to me Christopher loves Elena and her him, I think they should be together.
Seriously, how long can someone hold a grudge? Give it up Cliff.....you will never bring down the Ewings! You've tried and tried and always get shot down.
I've loved every minute of this re-vamped Dallas and definitely will be watching in January!

So John Ross is back to his old self. Seen that coming. He thinks he's got his Daddy by the balls, but I think JR is too smart for that and will do something once again to fuel John Ross' hate.
It's clear to me Christopher loves Elena and her him, I think they should be together.
Seriously, how long can someone hold a grudge? Give it up Cliff.....you will never bring down the Ewings! You've tried and tried and always get shot down.
I've loved every minute of this re-vamped Dallas and definitely will be watching in January!

Hell yeah I'll be watching! That finale was awesome. This is the best reboot of an old series yet. Loved every episode! :)

One of the best shows out there! It bridges the gap with generations and I can talk about it with older relatives.
