I'm sorry, but based on all of the definitions of the term "Mary Sue", I really don't see Ziva as being one. I guess it is a good slur to use against her when all else fails.

Nat: Sorry about the misquote. You are correct. This line came from 7 2 Reunion. Tiva will be a good idea if both characters (Stars) agree.

I agree with Eric...the elevator scene was intriguing, but GO for it already!!!!...just don't make their new relationship the focal point of the series, just a pleasant aside....have enjoyed NCIS since the beginning and continue to do so.

NCIS LA is great too!

I didn't see anything insulting in your comments, so do not take it personally, please! You don't like Tiva - got it! But..really? So,Mary Sue, spoiled rotten kid, elevator crap...are fine with you. But me saying that I am accepting PO but not rude comments or saying that CBS are paying for all that polls for a reason is somehow bothering you? BTW I never said anything about insulting actors.Best regards!

Well, the discussion was civil for 2 days. I was actually shocked it lasted that long.
I don't understand why some people can't just chime in with their opinion and not get so defensive. You claim you have respect for differing points of view, then you have to throw in a nasty comment. Why? No one insulted you, no one insulted the actors, it was a discussion on how people felt about the episode and that's what people were doing. The original article talked about the elevator scene, people were sharing their thoughts. Point/counterpoint, for/against, love it/hate it. That is what a discussion is.

I can really understand the honest position of people who don't want see any romances, or picturing Ziva or Tony with someone else. With all my respect! But I really do not understand hateful comments. Don't understand WHY we have to look at show through your eyes? Why do you think you are smarter? Why do I have to like only plain fluffy white characters if I prefer more complicated ones?
I don't see any chemistry in Bones, so what ? Do I have to bash show?
Sorry, didn't know there is a limit!

Sorry, but it was TV line Poll, not some small site's or forum's poll.
I agree with you - the majority of the viewers are just enjoying the show. Active viewers are posting and voting. But we can have some ideas what about viewers are thinking. Otherwise CBS and other companies wouldn't spend money on analytics and public affair. SO, ratio somehow close to the reality. Of course who doesn't want to see Tiva want to believe that the majority of people who don't vote or post don't like Ziva and don't want to see Tiva .Why? What kind of logical assumption is that? They are calling us small group. Well, how small are this group if on CBS page is already 152,000 likes on the Tiva post?
Honestly, I think if all 20 ml. viewers were voting we will get more then 6 or 7 % ( correct me) who doesn't. care, less then 86% (just checked!) who wants Tiva , but also certainly less then 7% who is against ! I can really understand the honest position of people who don't want see any romances, or picturing Ziva or Tony with someone else. With all my respect! But I really do not understand hateful comments. Don't understand WHY we have to look at show through your eyes? Why do you think you are smarter? write the premieres and the finales.

That said, I thought the Ducky and Palmer scenes were lovely and I thought the Tony and Ziva scenes were just right. I'm really looking forward to seeing where that relationship is going.

I found the episode mediocre, and I don't think it's because the episode was overhyped or overspoiled. It just wasn't well written. The subplot with the FBI agent was ridiculous and unnecessary and the subplot with the sister-in-law and the graverobbing was just as bad. I guess the reason for the time jump was to have the team on hand, but the team didn't really do much. I think the episode would have worked better if Gibbs had just gone after Dearing right after the bombing, and we could have had some more emotional scenes among the team, dealing with the wreckage and concern over Gibbs. The episode could still have ended with the gauzy moments at the end with the dedication and the building reopened. I don't see what the point was of giving McGee any injury at all; it looked serious but was dealt with him offscreen in a few seconds. Glasberg has some good ideas but tends to ruin his episodes with too much plot and too little resolution. I wish he'd consider letting someone else write the premieres and the finales.

That said, I thought the scenes between Ducky and Palmer were wonderful. I thought the Tony and Ziva scenes were just right. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes.

I think Gibbs is building his real boat this time, one he won't burn or give away.

There is no way to know exactly what the percentage is for pro/anti T&Z (I hate combining names). The 85% would be the percentage of the people voting on the poll.
Chances are, if you frequent sites that are ship friendly, it will seem like EVERYONE wants it to happen. Other sites are very anti ship, so it seems that no one wants it to happen.
20 million people watch the show every week. If even 10% discuss it on the net, that's still just a drop in the bucket.
No one, whether for against can claim to know the true numbers.
Internet polls are not exactly accurate. There are too many ways to manipulate them.
