Stephanie Savage Previews Gossip Girl Season Opener

by at . Comments

Gossip Girl executive producer Stephanie Savage teases Monday's premiere in a new video from the CW.

Most of what she says was already evident from the Gossip Girl sneak peek we posted Thursday, as well as what we've pieced together all summer long, but it's always fun to get the perspective of the woman in charge.

Key takeaways from her preview, heading into the much-anticipated final season premiere:

  • Serena is full-on missing, and the quest to find her brings everybody together.
  • Bart's back, and we will find out the latest on he and Lily ... as well as Rufus.
  • Nate's dead set on answering the time-honored question: Who is Gossip Girl?

Check out what Stephanie, who co-wrote the episode, has to say about "Gone Maybe Gone" below ...

UPDATE: Here's a brief new clip of the moment when everybody meets up in search of Serena. As you can probably tell, the gang arrives separately and some are motivated by different things ...

Fuck dan humphrey. He is the one who doesn't deserve serena. She is the one who accepted this pathetic excuse for a human being in the ues and he judges her.I hope serena will find happiness without this dumbass and without her backstabbing "best friend", blair the biggest whore in the ues, serena was right the student become the master.God i wanna puke when i see blair, she is a whiny little bitch who doesn't deserve anyone.

Well I actually prefer Dan without Serena. I like his character. What I don't like is when people think that money gives them the right to behave without repercussions. And by the way people can still comment on Chuck's previous treatment of Blair and not be a Dair fan. I want an ending that doesn't seem forced and everyone happy. If we have to have couples then I think Chair is enough. Why not let Dan, Serena and Nate have a future outside the confines of their previous storylines? I kind of understand Serena opting or an older guy - represents that steadying influence she's never had and always needed. Besides its not like he's a minging older man!!!!

The post I read has been removed hopefully because they were sent the first two episodes of season 6 and saw they were wrong

I am interested in S without lonely boy. I think her love for him has always dragged her down.

Speak only for yourself Zoran, I am definitely interested to Serena's story without Dan in it. I don't know where you get your authority to speak highly among GG fans here. If I want Serenate, I want Serenate! I don't care if the creators will listen to my comment, as long as I expressed. But to be pontificated by other fan here with do's and dont's that's another thing. I am interested to Serena storyline without Dan on it. Period.

Nobody is interested in character Dan without Serena, and vice versa. Incredible fact is that the producers take an actor who has 35-40 years to be a new love for Serena in the final season. Most interesting are the age of actor, which is a very stupid and rude. Last chance to complete the story of Dan and Serena in the best way for the audience missed in the end of season 5. The two of them together was supposed to go to Rome, not Dan and Georgina. In season 6 Serena and Dan would not have even to appear. Now it is very stupid to record any love scene between Serena and Dan. Probably Serena and Dan will end up like their parents, which is very stupid, but unfortunately it is only possible in the present circumstances!

Producers who created the series will try to do the best possible season 6, but I think it is a futile effort, because 10 episodes is not enough to undo what has ruined in the previous three seasons. Series creators have done a great job in season 1 and 2, and it is no wonder that most of the audience think that was the best seasons! As for season 6, the story should focus on Chuck and Blair, Lily and Rufus and the identity of GG, everything else does not matter. Nobody is interested in what is going on with Serena / Sabrina and Steven. At the end of season 5 Serena went from NYC just as it came at the beginning of season 1, and she not even have to be back in season 6. This is the end of the series, and the audience is expected to be together at the end of Serena and Dan, since it is no longer possible - the actors who play Serena and Dan can not act to even 50% of what they were staged in 1 or 2 season, so it figures Serena and Dan are no longer relevant. Gossip Girl Season 6 Episode 1 Quotes

[to Blair] In the past, I blamed my mistakes on you - Bart was right on that count; it's the boy that blames the girl, not the man. And that's what I want to be with you.

Chuck

Georgina: He's Protestant. I do my best work with Catholics.
Chuck: Thank God I'm an atheist.
